What aspects of their doctrines made you leave?
All of them. Infact, life in that church just seems like being locked up in prison.

Are her names Igala or Igbo?
I don't know her surname but her first name is a typical Igbotic name.

I understand that I am stepping into controversial waters but I feel this has to be said, given the fact that Urhobo-Isokoland is added to the proposed Biafra Nation. Silence may mean consent. This has to be said and I anticipate a very exciting and non-tribalistic discussion of the issues I have raised. I have already made this comment on a thread elsewhere on this forum but I need it to be a thread of its own in order to attract more comments and reach out to IPOB youths which the message is directed to.
I don't know when speaking English came to mean being intelligent. Writing an epistle such as this does not add any ounce of intelligence on your part, it just takes a single sentence to expose what is wrong with our dear country.

You say Urhobo/Isokoland is added to the proposed Biafra. Added by who if i may ask? Pls tell me, because i've seen different versions of the Biafran map drawn by different people to massage their utopian cravings. It's normal for people to speak based on their understanding on issues and it should not be seen as a collective acceptance of such cravings.

I'm not a PRO Biafrran person myself but you people just whip of the most stupid defence ever in a bid to make sense but you fail woefully. kai.

I grew up mostly as a Deeper Life member and i left because of their doctrines. However, i think Kumuyi is someone that other so called men of Gd should look up to when coducting themselves. I'm not saying tat Kumuyi is a saint but as far as being humble and meek goes, he thumps all the Pastors that i've ever come across.

Need Your Thoughts/Advice.

I am about hosting some domains, but contemplating whether or not to choose a Nigerian hosting company.

My experience with some Nigerian hosting company is that they are unstable, unpredictable and all that.

For the foreign platforms, I can trust a couple of them but for the ever flunctuating rate of the dollar.

What do you advice?
It's your choice to make.

There's no gain saying that foreign hosts have a better quality of service on the average.

But like you said, the rate of the dollar keeps flunctuating. If it's not a problem for you then go ahead and host with a good foreign host.

if it's a problem, there are still some Nigerian hosts that are ok. Personally, i use whogohost for now until the dollar improves.

I have been reading comments here and have been laughing hard at peoples display of ignorance and limited knowledge. Let me state again like i did in the early pages of this thread that the man Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Jemigbola is my uncle, i mean my moms immediate younger brother. He's currently in Maryland, USA. The name Jemigbola is an igala name that means 'allow me hear word' if translated into pidgin English. It is more common among we igalas in the east of the Niger and a little among the Ibaji people in kogi state. However, igalas from idah, dekina, ofu, ankpa etc are not familiar with it and will have a hard time believing it to be an igala name. I know this because i studied in Kogi state university of which i spent my four years there informing my ignorant Igala friends and colleagues that there are Igalas outside Kogi state particularly in Anambra and that i am from there. The mainstream Igala spoken in kogi state is significantly different from what we.speak in Anambra, so also is our mannerism and culture. We in Anambra tend to behave and dress like the Igbos due to years of acculturation while those in kogi behave and dress like the hausas. I would not want to bore you guys but i can even tell the story behind the Jemigbola name as told by my mum.
I just made a new friend who is from the Igala speaking part of Anambra. I can't remember the exact place now but she says it's close to Anam and surrounded by water. By seeing her the first ting that comes to mind is Igbo. Even when i asked her which tribe she was, she said Igbo. It's not until i started digging that she made it known that she's from the Igala speaking part of Anambra state. But she still has the Igbo approach towards life and i think if Igbos and Igalas from Kogi were to go to war, she would side with Igbos. She just seems like your typical Igbo person. I'll really like to visit the Igala speaking part of Anambra to really see how it is over there.

ikennaj44:
think about it, if igala has a population of 2% against igbo population of 98% in anambra, of what benefit will it be to 98% of igbos in anambra who don't speak nor understand igala to listen to news broadcasting In igala language, could it be the case of the tail waging the dog?, their population is still insignificant for now, though I never knew there are igalas in anambra, am happy they are not discriminated against apart from their language allegedly going extinct. I expected you to advice them to form an umbrella body that will help them push for local radio studio instead of inciting for hostility and ethnic striving, afterall, according to the OP, they broadcast in igala language but complain of the short timeframe.
Even if their population is 0.5%, they're not insignificant and a news bulletin in Igala will be targeted at the supposed 2% Igalas and not the 98% Igbos.

PoliticsWhat is the Thin Line Between Patrotism And Tribalism? by Afam4eva(op): 9:34pm On Apr 01, 2017
I'm writing this because of the rise of what people call NCAN (name Checkers Association of Nigeria). if you don't know what it means, it's simply when there's a news of either a Nigerian doing exploits or committing crimes and people come to check if it's their tribesman that is involved. Even though it may seem as though, this behavior is exhibited by a few, i beg to differ. It seems to me that the average Nigerian or even Human being would prefer that a successful person either in Academics, Entertainment, Business or any field is from their place even though it won't have any direct impact on their lives other than bragging rights.

I must confess, whenever a thread hits frontage with a caption such as "Nigerian caught with drugs in Malaysia", my prayer is usually in the lines, God i hope it's not an Igbo person. But unfortunately, 9 out of 10 times or even 10 out of 10 times, it's usually an Igbo person as far as it's drug related. The opposite happens when i see a News in the lines of "Nigerian graduates with first class at an American university". I'm hoping and praying it's an Igbo person.

Now to my question, what's the thin line between patriotism and Tribalism based on the scenario that i have painted. Are we not allowed to have a soft spot for someone who we share some history with. What is the difference between supporting a friend of yours in the Big Brother Africa house and supporting someone who is from your village. It's undeniable that whenever i come across a competition, my first instinct to choose who to support is to look out for someone who is Igbo before i start considering other variables such as the characteristics of the person. It's the same way when most Nigerian are watching a tennis match involving Serena williams against one other white person, for some reason they always tip Serena to win.

She isn't perfect by far but a lot of people find her funny, smart, talented (acting and singing) and by far one of the most entertaining in the house, she was also known before entering the house which is why she already had some fans. Bisola's called all types of names and critisized on a daily basis, LovePeddler, single mother, ugly, loose etc lol what do you mean nothing has happened?
I thought that by now the Nigerians at home and in the diaspora will be plotting on how to get her evicted grin Even though she has been called all sort of names, people still kinda like her. I think it's like you said, the fact that she evidently talented. I think talent thumps any bad behavior that she may have.

Imagine, the richest black woman iin the world is speaking to majorly black people. How about outing her in a hall where she will speak to the entire students of harvard university with the President of the school present. I don't see her speaking to a group of Harvard Nigerian or African students as a big deal.

I've been following BBN here on Nairaland and i've watched a couple of clip videos and i can't seem to understand why Bisola has a lot of fans, like seriously. She has done everything that Nigerian hate yet she's not seen the xit door. I remember how people came at Beverly Osu and called her all sort of names but Bisola has done worse and nothing has happened. What exactly has she not done. She has engaged in sexual relationships with more than one person. She has quarelled, cursed in a very demeaning manner, yet she has a lot of fans. Me, i'm not understanding again oo. I thought Nigerians liked humble people like Efe. Lol grin

Lol, I already know that not all Yorubas have tribal marks. I've lived with them before in the same apartment building. I think I've seen only one with tribal marks actually.

I'm from the Cape, a place called East London & I'm from the Xhosa tribe...think Nelson Mandela.
