There is no defined timeline for visa processing. However, your passport will be kept by you during the application process.

If your account statement was downloaded online, you should take it to the bank for physical stamping, irrespective of attaching a reference.

I submitted a hardcopy application at VFS on Friday, and was asked to go to my bank to stamp my statement, even though I attached a reference letter. Mind you, this would be my 8th SA visa (the last one expired five days ago). This people no send you o.

This response isn't peculiar to applications from Nigeria alone. Someone in Cameroon got the same response as well.

Even with a reference letter here in Nigeria, they still render bank statements invalid.

Has anyone been able to scale through this challenge? Share your experiences to help please.

I picked up in June. South Africa. Area 3 seem to be their sorting hub in Abuja.

UPS guys are usually sluggish. If you need your passport urgently, I'd advise you go to their Area 3 office by 8am tomorrow before they set out for dispatch. This is what I always do.

This is NOT the British High Commission in Abuja or Lagos.

It is NOT TLS in Abuja, VI, Ikeja or Port Harcourt.

So whoever made this video is being mischievous.

Please how did you book your flight reservation without paying? I heard if you just book a flight reservation without paying it takes 48hrs for them to hold the booking for you. My question is even after the time given has elapsed, will the booking reservation still be valid to tender when going for biometrics?

It is best to limit your itinerary to one country. If you are applying to France, stick to France, when you get the visa, you can then expand your travel itinerary.

I plan to.visit France , Spain and Italy and already indicated them on my application form I am unable to book a multicity reservation because of the routes .

I have done one for Abuja - Paris - Abuja .

How do I handle the Spain and Rome routes if I want to go my train . Can I also do book on hold or the ticket to France is enough .

I'm unsure if that is possible. You can try. If it doesn't work, you might have to make another payment and request for a refund on the former.

For the Victoria Island center, yes. Ikeja and Abuja have no extra fee.

Rwanda is actually visa on arrival for Nigerians and it is free.

I have no idea why your SA visa was refused. Maybe you should take your time to look at it again if you did something wrong. In the last two months (June/July), I've applied for a couple of visas and all were approved. SA, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique and Kenya. While I agree that Nigerians have a tainted reputation I believe the content of your application might stand you out.

I've never used the SA eVisa thingy, so I have no idea how it works. Perhaps you should try the sticker Visa, I hear it's fast these days.

I didn’t add my biometrics slip because I misplaced the slip from the biometric I did in 2015

Good day everyone and the gurus in the house. I just made a mistake on my salary account. I am preparing to present the bank statement to UK embassy nest 2 weeks for visiting visa. when I took the decision that I want to visit the UK this year, I stop every other fund that do go into the account . So only my salary has been going in for the past 6 months, and I do withdraw some money for my normal expenses for the month just yesterday I mistakenly transferred 10k from my other account into the salary account. I totally forgot what am about to use it for, and regretted it. So gurus in the house hope it will not affect my chances or is there anything I will do.

Declare it as a gift from whoever, which was deposited into your salary account personally by you. Don't take the chance of ignoring it because you think it's a small amount.

Two weeks is a long time for France to process a visa application. Be sure you have not submitted suspicious documents, this may be the reason for the delay.

Your budget should be around 8m or slightly above. This way, the visa officer sees you have enough to fall back to when you return from your holiday

If you have first used your visa to travel to Spain, you can fly directly to France this time.

If your monthly spend is 50k, then your budget of 750k is good to go. However, ensure there are no other unexplained deposits in your account aside your stated income.

Disposable income 50k? Meaning you spend over 320k from your salary every month? This is an automatic refusal, as the cost of your trip is 15 times your disposable income.

Secondly be sure not to have unexplained deposits in your account.

I was denied!!!
Reason:
* other deposits seen in my salary a/c (document I provide doesn't demostarte origin of the funds)
*Proposed budget N750,000 is 3times my monthly salary
*My expenditure not credible .



Now 2023.
i want to re-apply now .

*closing a:c balance -5m
*salary/month now -370,500
*disposable income/month -50k (wife working now
*Proposed budget -N750k
*7days trip

Please,what do you guys advise me to do,I really want to get it right now. Am presently on 2months vacation back in Nigeria.

I was called to submit my passport (didn't leave it with them at the time of application). After submission, UPS delivered the following day.

In addition to the advice others have given, the purpose of your trip is also a red flag. You are going for sightseeing on a business trip? Next time, stick to a plan, if it's business, let your application be centered around business only.

Also include a company account with evidence that you have access to the money. Having one billion in your account is not their concern, what they are concerned about is the source of these funds.

Please who knows the meaning of Bakana? I am from Bayelsa state and my name is Bakana. I asked my dad the meaning he said he doesn't know that it was his father's name so he named me to preserve it.

I'm unsure what Bakana means, however, there is an Island town of the Kalabaris called Bakana. I think Bakana might be a coinage of two words. While Kana means basket in Kalabari, I have no idea what the first word is.
