1. If your passport is in your possession at the time of receiving the text.

2. If your proposed travel dates have passed.

It means your visa has been refused, unfortunately.

All documents super complete including invitation letter, certified IDs, their bank statements, water n electricity bills, affidavit for proof of address, my statement of account over 4 m, letter from employer, verifiable yellow fever card and so on

100 percent bro, I was denied in 2017. I lost every detail. I applied without any of those you mention. My biometrics appear with expiry date and when I did it. Make sure your full name and date of birth are still the same. It will appear. Trust me.

They will not ask you upload a new passport as your current passport is not expired. Ensure you send a webform with your new passport as soon as you get it.

Hello Guru's in the house .

I applied for tourist visa for myself and family since last year and they just update my son portal May 10 2023 with visa number and expiry date .
the main problem now is that my son have a new passport and the name on the old passport with the new one is not arranged accordingly .
the validity of the old passport is 04-12-2024 while the new one is till 2028.

OLD PASSPORT NAME ; JOHN MICHEAL LAW A
NEW PASSPORT NAME ; JOHN LAW MICHEAL

I need assistance and clarification on this to know if I can update the new passport ? .

Send the updated information through webform. If possible, attached evidence showing his true identity; preferably an affidavit stating JMLA and JLM is one and the same person, but now wish to be known and addressed as JLM.

There's no need to call anyone. Just send a message including a copy of the new passport using the webform and email. Having done this, send the new passport immediately for stamping.

What you have said isn't insensitive, and your concerns are germane. However, there's nothing you should worry about. Before your trip, ask the airline to put you on a seat not close to the window. If you need any help when on board, call the attention of the host, they'll be more than willing to help.

It is not a problem. Just make sure you truthfully declare the entry denial

It's even a lot better that you haven't done biometrics. Cancel the application today, and submit a new one. You can still have your biometrics tomorrow.

You'll have to resubmit all documents you used in the previous application.

Does it show on your account that you have successfully scheduled an appointment? If yes, print out that page.

Please I applied for UK visiting visa and I paid for biometrics via the TLS website but I didn’t get the appointment confirmation email.
I have checked my junks and spam messages but nothing is there.
My appointment is Next week, please what can I do?

My plan was to visit Singapore last December, but I don't have anyone to write letter of introduction and someone was asking for ridiculous amount. Hence, I opted for Italy.

How did you get a Singaporean to write you a letter of invitation?

As an Alternative to invitation letters, you can get the Nigerian High Commission in Singapore (through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja) to write you an introduction letter. But there are certain conditions you must meet, as they need to ascertain you are Nigerian.

Good morning. My agent made lot of errors in my canada study permit application form,
1: she was asked if my child is travelling with me she said no after applying for my child visitor visa
2 : she filled my work history twice with different date
3: she was asked about my travelling history if I have been denied visa before she answered no
I only went through the document she submitted without going through the form she filled

I have sent web form to correct the errors i don't know if it's going to affect my visa

Best thing to do is to withdraw the application now that it is not too late. The level of misrepresentation on your visa application cannot be overlooked even with your webform correspondence.

Except if the agent signed as an authorized representative. But if the application was signed as coming from you, withdraw it.

Dear Gurus.
Could you advice if I need to contact Canada to expedite process of my application which was submitted first week of April 2023 cos the stated arrival date in the application is early June for an event I'm planning to attend in Ontario or do I need to update my application with other newly granted visas if that would help. I submitted Canada VV application (from outside Nigeria) first week of April, done and completed Biometrics next day. However, I got US Visit visa a week after and an additional 2-year UK visa last week but still waiting for Canada.

Note my submitted application travelling history says I have been to UK last year for few days.

Send a web form with the new information you have, especially the US visa. This might not expedite the application process, but would definitely be a significant boost in the adjudication of your application.

Put off your data, leave it for a few hours. When you log back in, it'll show a failed transaction. Nothing to worry about, you won't be debited. Same thing happened with an acquaintance last week.

An applicant with valid biometrics on file can voluntarily re-enroll their biometrics within the 10-year period if they wish to receive a visa or permit that covers a longer period.

For example, a person who wants to apply for a new visa and who last enrolled their biometric information 8 years ago could receive only a 2-year visa. To receive a 10-year visa, they would have to voluntarily re-enroll their biometric information (and pay the associated fee).

If applicants wish to re-enrol their biometrics, they must inform IRCC, when submitting an online application, or the VAC agent, when submitting an in-person application.

Log into your UKVI account, click on provide biometrics, it'll redirect you to TLS website where you can see your application details including appointment, look for the last option on the column - that's where you upload.

Visas are granted according to the validity of biometrics or passport - whichever is shorter. If biometrics expires in 2025 and your passport expires in 2028, your visa will be granted for 2025. If biometrics is 2030 and passport is 2027, you'll get 2027 visa validity.

So for someone to get 10 years visa, his/her passport and biometrics must both be valid for 10 years.

Also add that the applicant's biometrics must also be valid for 10 years at the time of visa issuance

I don’t have any visa document yet. I only checked on the “application status checker and saw that”. I received a mail from ircc to check my portal for update but I still cannot login. It keeps telling me error. My friend tried with her own login and it worked and she tried my own login and it kept showing error too. I’ve used different gadgets, I’ve used different browsers, I’ve cleared my cache and it’s still the same thing. It was visitors visa I applied for. But I don’t know what update was done to my application since I can’t even access my application page. Should I just risk it and take my passport to vfs office for stamping? But I don’t know if this is what was updated for me to do since I can’t access my main application.

There are no appointments at TLS for Italy visa till around June. However, I believe you can walk in to submit your application without appointment for a fee.

A Nigerian can get a passport anywhere in the world.
