what kind of classist banter is this!  huh
what is wrong with a people creating their own names?
yes, they're flamboyant. but so what!

white people come up with weird names all the time, who is talking?
gwyneth paltrow named her daughter APPLE!

quote by leilah:
« #158 on: Today at 11:18:55 AM »

Yes I agree they have to be the most hideous names in existance. They are just trashy names. I have heard them all!!!!
they're only "trashy" becuz they're claimed usu. by blacks on welfare.

quote by leilah:
Those men, they can never have one child with one woman. They have so many illigit kids they are stoned out of their mad heads trying to make up new names.
classism is the other side of racism.

@ poster
i really dont understand why you said you would choose Oge and one of your reasons was her complextion.
this wont be the first thread that ive seen you boost someone up because of their complextion.
another time when you told me that was you in a picture, you said that picture made you look somehow "dark" and that you were lighter than that in real life.
you called Omotola more beautiful or having a better shape than mercy because it was more like a white woman's and mercy's shape was too "igbotic" or whatever that means.
and then on top of that you made another thread saying how black women have ugly asses and why cant our butts be pretty like white women's butts.
saying something along the lines of "why do black women always have things on their butt or its a little discolored from the rest of their body, and why cant our butts be like white women that is smooth and one color"
something like that.
with all these posts you make, you look like a self hating, white praising girl.
correct me if im wrong, but i can only draw those conclusions from the way you post and the things you say when you post.
GBAM!

poster, u live in 9ja. i've lived in US most of my life. let me just tell u, american movie director will pick Uche Elendu long b4 Oge (after telling uche to see a dentist). Uche is a much better actress and farrrrr prettier.

Oge, she is more graceful. She is elegant.  she is not very pretty.
Uche- her eyes sparkle. great smile. nice face. high cheek bones. she has charisma. she's sassy. she makes u want to watch a movie. too much makeup tho

Because the Nigerian culture does not value women.
this is the surface answer. i think the culture values women; it just doesn't respect them.

a farmer may scream at his hardworking donkey and kick it around and Disrespect it. but the farmer know that he needs that donkey. deep down, the farmer values the donkey.

they expect the woman to be in control of EVERYTHING.
it's like they desire males, but they know it's the female that holds everything together.

your prof is spouting what i call "intellectual racism"- racism that is backed by silly theories to prove that africans are a big-nosed, homogenous group of nomads. these white pple truly believe we're all the same. they can't believe that Horn of Africans r  truly african.        shoot, most africans don't even think horners are african.

but the thing is: AFRICANS are not all "BLACK"! why? becuz African is not a race!
there's no such thing as black anyway.

he used picture of some freaking slave lady (Who looks nothing like igbo people) and  Olaudah Equiano (Who i still doubt is Igbo, his freaking  name doesn't even look Igbo).
olaudah equiano, yeah they say he's probably igbo. i wouldn't be surprised if he WAS igbo. you said his name doesn't LOOK igbo. that's becuz white pple spelled it they way they thought it should be spelled. but it sure sounds igbo, esp. equiano. "Ekweanu"   i don't know. just my guess.

^^ u can try water therapy too.
i did it for 1 wk and my skin was glowing.

u drink 10-12 cups (80-96 oz) of water a day! no less
right when u wake up, u drink 4 cups right away. this will flush
out the toxins ur body tried to get rid of while ur sleeping at night.

seriously, all my sis (who ALL have much better skin than i) thot i was wearing makeup
becuz my face was glowing. it was just water therapy. drinking it 1st thing in the morn. and
thru out the day.

and i like to add other good stuff in the water. lemon juice. or red pepper. ACV. turmeric. all
good 4 skin

Note to Chimamanda; we have had a lifetime fill of the following in your works; Nsukka campus, the civil war, ixora flower, strong female characters, lousy male characters. we don't expect to see them in your future works!
so are the stories in thing around ur neck pretty much about those tings: nsukka campus, biafra, ixora, etc??
i haven't read it yet.
