nice! i am enjoying d debate guys,pls continue. |
montelik: Welbeck is rubbish, cos weall know players stop developing the moment they hit 21-22. So Lewandowski love, is going to replace your previous Berba partiality. haba not true all the time.ian wright, miroslav klose, didier drogba, les ferdinand and so many others come to mind.oh did i forget zidane, figo and several others (ronaldinho at 22 was still at PSG) that were still developing at 22? i know its painful for fans to watch d many chances that DW misses, but i believe he is getting better with each season.and i am okay with him being a united striker as our 2nd or 3rd choice |
welbeck is getting better everyday and if he is our 2nd or 3rd option in attack for now its nt too bad.i like his pace, work rate n link up play......however his finishing is still poor.but he is still young n there is still room for improvement |
i am not saying he is exceptional there or dt he is as good there as when he is on wing but he is able to play there when push comes to shove.talking about ashley young he has been one of d England national team's best players in d last 1 year playing primarily from dt position.and to clarify issues when i said centrally i didn't mean central midfield,i meant in d role just behind d striker |
my summary of the two players' abilties is thus; 1)kagawa is a skillful, pacy attacking midfielder who is able to play on the wings when needed 2)hazard is a skillful, pacy winger who is able to play more centrally when needed kagawa is a midfielder first and a winger second while for hazard its d other way round.its obvious we need kagawa more, thats why i hv been in support of this deal from d start.i hav watched lots of dortmund matches dis past 2 seasons n he has been gr8. |
and concerning phelan.PLEASE LET THIS RUMOR COME TRUE! |
coogar: but kagawa plays in the german league....miles better than the french league.i agree d german league is much tougher than d french league.i actually prefer kagawa for our squad to hazard for both 'footballing' and 'non-footballing' reasons . i just meant we shouldn't just take d stats at face value cos most of d club stats were in d japanese premier division and even some were in d 2nd tier league in Japan! also alot of the national team stats were against d extreme minnows of asian football.having said all that kagawa has been a star since he arrived at germany BOTH on and off d field |
i know international football doesn't completely restrict one country to a particuar region but it is obvious n logical that over an extended period of time a country will face more countries from its continent than from others.thats why i gave u a comparison of both team's matches so far this year. when u consider that since 2007 japan has been involved in 2 AFC qualifying series,2 AFC Asian cups,2 Olympic qualifiers and 2 East Asian Football championships ALL AGAINST FELLOW ASIAN COUNTRIES then it is obvious that d quality of opposition japan faces on d average is worse than what belgium faces. last year amongst other countries japan faced jordan, syria, peru, tajikistan, vietnam n saudi arabia while belgium faced GERMANY,FRANCE,TURKEY,finland, azerbaijan e.t.c |
anyway i am very happy with d kagawa signing cos i feel he is a better fit for our team and very importantly it leaves us with some cash to buy someone in central midfield |
japan tends to play more asian countries while belgium plays more european countries,so its obvious that belgium is more likely to face tougher opponents. for instance this year japan has faced iceland, uzbekistan, azerbaijan and oman while belgium has faced greece, montenegro and england |
yes kagawa is almost 2 years older and most of his games in that stat were in d Japanese league while Hazard was plying his trade in the tougher Ligue 1 in France.so those stats above are a bit misleading to be honest.having said that i think kagawa is a good player and hope he does well at old trafford |
mbulela: And by extension damaged Anderson's legs. LWKMD ,bros u wicked! do u mean that if an assassin shoots cleverly it is anderson dt will quench? lols |
montelik: If we get a pure defensive midfielder (that costs a chunk) then that should mean the beginning of the end of Carrick. It will signal a transition to a more athletic and robust approach in midfield and he could find himself in the same position as Berba did.very true.i hav bin one of his critics cos of his ponderous nature HOWEVER i believe if we switch to a 3 man midfield there will still b a big role for carrick to play |
some1 like keita isnt d guy we need at this tym both in terms of what he brings to d table and his age.we need to get dynamic, athletic players in their early to mid 20s with good technical ability, not some1 we will hv to replace in 2 years time. getting any of martinez, tiote, mvila could work and i wont b displeased if we got any of them esp if we switch to 4-2-3-1.just tink abt it almost any 2 man combo from carrick,martinez,mvila/tiote,scholes,cleverley n anderson will work as d 2 behind d 3-1. |
gets injured too often, has always had weight n fitness issues.if lampard is fat frank then huddlestone is TUMMY TOM ![]() |
i agree with montelik on this one.this is a player who can play different roles during d course of d season especially with d injuries dt r likely to occur.if fergie does switch to a 4-2-3-1 like we have been hoping the signin of kagawa will make even more sense. 1)we will be more solid in midfield both when we r in possession n when chasing d ball 2)a player like carrick would blossom in dis kind of formation cos his duties will b more defined 3)our wide men will hv less defensive duties to carry out n will play further up d field.this will b gud esp for nani n young |
kagawa is able to play ond right side of midfield or on d left side or off d main striker,he isnt a CM.so he is to compete wit young, nani n co. modric on d oda hand is a CM/deep playmaker so if we bought him he would compete wit scholes, cleverly n co. we can buy both and play both at d same time. concernin d DM any of of Mvila,Tiote n Martinez will do BUT not 2 of them at d same time. |
nice signing.hope it is just d first of several this summer.like chamo said,we need a DM urgently.som1 like mvila or tiote wouldnt b bad.if we could add modric all d beta |
i agree with you dt 20mins is a long time,i am not sure it would hv taken such a long time for d plane to explode.however even if there were survivors its possible they were not in any condition to help themselves.we see it everyday in serious car accidents where survivors are in d car wreckage bt cant help themselves,so d same applies here.alive passengers does not equal conscious passengers, conscious passengers does not equal oriented passengers and oriented passengers does not equal ambulant passengers |
chamotex: I know a £6.8million fee was agreed with his club. I must have thought he'd agreed personal terms already and was only waiting to have his medical.i believe his club came out and denied having any agreement with swansea.it seems rodgers wants him at liverpool however so he is unlikely to come to us.anyways i believe its either kagawa or sigurdsson,i don't see both of them coming.either of them PLUS modric PLUS mvila/tiote/martinez.d striker n LB issues i am ambivalent about |
afrobaby d issue is nt even wether windows can b opened or not.the reason pple r criticizing ur post abt d pilot opening the windows or exits or watever is cos 1)likely d pilot n most of the other people in the plane would have died on impact i.e immediately the plane crashed,so they probably weren't even alive at that point to open anything 2)even if some of them survived the original impact they would have had severe injuries like head injury, leg fractures, spinal injuries, chest injuries which would have paralysed them or immobilised them in some other way preventing them from helping themselves 3)and if by any miracle any of them avoided d 2 scenarios above they might hv been in shock, confused delirious or incapacitated in some other way. the summary is NOBODY on that plane would have been in a good enough condition to be d hero/saviour u see in movies |
lol very true |
United's rivals making waves early in d transfer market, hope our own moves will soon start delivering dividends.i guess one positive one can hold on to for now is that most of the preferred targets that United's fans believe the club needs are still available.i am talking about sigurdsson, modric, martinez,m'vila, tiote, alba, baines et al. so there is still time, the options are still there and hopefully so r d funds |
Mr_TA: Cant see Kagawa playing his preferred role very well in a 4-4-2.i agree.kagawa coming might mean fergie is finally ready to jettison 4-4-2. |
gary cahill ruled out of euros with his jaw fracture, martin kelly of liverpool to be drafted in! wat does micah richards need to do to be given an opportunity? is he injured or something? |
4llerbuntu: monsieur i think ur wrong. i get ur point tho, and th0 i aint a utd fan, i appreciate success. that dude is gonnacost u points in a race of fine margins. fergie needs a new left back.i feel d same way.evra is our greatest defensive liability now and little mistakes could cost us again dis season just like they did last season |
if we stick to 4-4-2 then u r absolutely correct but if we switch to 4-2-3-1 then i think we can manage wit wt we hv got up front |
well i agree there are more pressing issues,in central midfield for instance.however we don't know how much has been made available for transfers and we dont know for certain how many more players will b bought this off season.if United buy 2 more players dis summer it should b 2 midfielders, however if we hav 3 more additions it should be 2 midfielders AND a left back.if you remove de gea's early season gaffes patrice evra was culpable for more goals than any other player in d squad.thats nt gud enuf for our starting left back n vice captain. |
why? his performances have not been exactly stellar for the past couple of seasons and he is also now in his 30s.so there is a good chance he gets replaced soon though its not an absolute certainty |
i agree with montelik dt we need some1 dt can go into d starting 11 almost immediately.we already have fabio and then fryers as understudies. concerning baines though he is a decent player n good going forward he is not d quickest full back n he is a bit suspect defensively.and his best attacking asset is his pullout from wide areas and United don't do too many of those pullouts again cos we dont hav d height in d box,our wide men more often than not speed into d box n lay grounders ACROSS d box. for jordi alba he seems like a very good player and he is d right age to play for many seasons but i am just a bit worried of d transition from la liga to EPL,a number of hispanic fullbacks hv found d initial period quite unsettling.i like benoit assou ekoto cos he is d most similar player to an in form Evra dt we hav around |
chelsea really strengthening their attacing game dis offseason and city making some changes it seems.we hav got to get things right wit our buys o.wt do u guys tink abt d leighton baines rumors |
dis should clear d way specifically for a deal for luka modric.we hv to try to get him.modric pulling d strings in mifield would b a luvly sight |
