You are right. He done mess up either way, even if Tesla made good profits from BeeTee because he has lost trust in his word. Tesla is a stock that grows out of belief in the personality and vision of Elon, not that they are selling many cars. Companies who sell 100 times more cars are being valued at 1/4 of Tesla price. Last last, the minute he lose Trust, the market will hammer him. He has also lost the trust of retail investors who worship him.

Hated by wall Street. Despised by retail investors. Even Cathie Wood go sell Tesla. But seriously, BTC is bigger than Elon. Why give him too much credit?

Elon is no fool. I doubt he will purposely rundown his own investment unless he has sold, or he is being naive. Next quarter earnings, we go find out.

Elon is under no obligation to announce or deny he sold. The most important stakeholders are Tesla share owners and anytime ELON and their CFO decide the company has made enough gains from BeeTee, they can sell and we are not obligated to find out till their next quarter earnings. However I will say that he has laid the ground to justify any future sale by pointing out environmental concerns. Should he have sold, that environmental tweet will cover him in the eyes of authorities from being a market manipulator.

And you think shareholders are happy with the way he is running his mouth? They would be worried especially since its becoming obvious that revenues were padded with gains from crypto. The only reason SEC has not gone after him is because crypto is not yet regulated. Didnt he know about the environment b4 he bought BTC?

Juat to be clear, Elon only implied, not that he made a clear statement. There is a twitter war between him and McCormack. Days earlier he tweeted that Tesla would not sell their BTC holdings. One thing i know for sure, na Tesla stock go suffer am.

The reason why a lot of those high flying names from last year collapsed this year is that investors think the stock prices are too high relative to earnings (if any) these businesses are producing or are likely to produce in the foreseeable future.

Apple has a PE ratio of 29, Tesla 594. Even with Tesla's fast revenue growth, that's a steep price to pay for growth.

Exactly. Very high considering the fact that the company has not made significant profit. But when has Tesla traded on fundamentals? Its always been a speculative play. The next two quarters would be make or break for Tesla.

I want to put some amount in S&P 500 and apple shares to allow for capital appreciation then about a month before zenith bank pays its final divided, i will sell off my apple and s&p 500 to buy zenith shares. After dividend payment, whenever price rises above entry price, i sell off and repatriate the money back into apple and sp500 and this cycle continues.
The aim is to benefit from capital appreciation, avoid devaluation and enjoy NSE dividend yield. What do you think may be the demerit of this investiment strategy. Thanks.

US market is trading lower because of inflation fears. The capital you want to preserve may be trimmed. Besides when you want to enter after you have sold your Zenith shares you may be buying Apple and index funds at a higher entry price. Plus you have naira devaluation to contend with. So ur gains in Zenith may be wiped off when converting proceeds to dollar. Have you considered dividing the money and managing the portfolios seperately?

TSLA is trading below its 50-day and 200-day averages. This indicates bearish pressure on the stock.

Sales in China is slowing down, plus they suspended the opening of a new factory in Shanghai. Semi conductor shortage. Beeteecee wahala and Elon's credibility is now raising questions.

Wait till towards the end of Q2. Alternatively you can be buying in installments and average down
