Sometimes I wonder where this rumours come from that Israel is a Christian country. Christians are less than 3% in Israel and Muslims at over 17%.

I accused a Jew colleague sometimes ago about being a Christian, and told me Jews are not that foolish to believe God came down to Earth in human form, instantly supported by fellow Jew. Through them I started learning Judaism. The old testament they believe in. They claim that of the Christians is still diluted and when you get to see them indulge in so many rituals that you sometimes wonder if they are herbalists

You are either not well travelled or read. Isreal is never regarded as a Christian country. They however have a soft spot for Christians in contrast to the Islamic nations and Christians in turn have a strong disposition to them.

More so, since the Jew religion is the foundation or precursor of Christianity.

Ironically, the Jew religion is also the precursor to Islam. The Torah and gospels were even mentioned in the Quran as holy books to be reverred, but the Islamic states have demonstrated only bitterness to the other religions hence the seemingly brotherhood btw Judaism and Christianity.

Israel is not as relevant as you think. They're good but there are still about 10-15 countries better than them. Israel even imports military equipment. They don't produce many military equipment. Their relevance to the US is for power balance, same as Saudi Arabia though Saudi has oil too. Infact, Israel cannot boast of being able to crush Saudi Arabia. Their only advantage is that they have a slightly better air force due to the US F35 sale.

Let me surprise you, Trump was just about to sell the same jets before he left to Saudi and equalize both airforces in terms of capability and Saudi has more money. Israelis pleaded and pleaded, Trump didn't listen. He simply wanted to unite Saudi and Israel to freak the hell out of Iran. That was his goal after the peace deals. Biden came and temporarily halted the deal to investigate it. Much to the Israelis relief.

And American isn't looking away, Biden stated his disappointment with Israel in the forced evictions this week, but asked Palestinians to stop the rocket attacks.

How can you compare Saudi Arabia to Isreal?

Isreal is battle tested and miles ahead of SA militarily.

You are talking about two different things here. Nobody is denying that Ironsi was running a military dictatorship without the pillars of democracy.

What is being disputed is if it was Ironsi that abolished Regionalism and introduced unitary rule.

How could Ironsi have been the one that abolished Regionalism if the 4 Regions he met on the ground were still existing the day he died?

How is it possible that Ironsi introduced unitary rule when all 4 Regions had resource control and fiscal federalism right up to the day Ironsi died?

What is unitary rule again pls? Was he not a unilateral leader? Or were the regions he governed operating independently of him?

Regional was only a name. He was appointed by the centre and reporting to the centre.

It was when he tried to break away from the centre that he declared succession.

Who were the military governors reporting to? Was it not the centre? If the governors were not autonomous but reporting to the centre, it simply means they were practising a central government.

Even though, they were called Regional governors.

The hitherto Regional Governement Headed by Premiers had a large degree of autonomy.

You Lilliputans ascribe too much influence to Tinubu. Tinubu as a smart man simply flows with the sentiments of the people per time and it has been working for him.

Ambode was kicked out by majority of his party members. Slowing down the pace of work on this blue line was one of his many sins. And I'm glad about that.

The lessons have been well communicated, Sanwo-Olu is not slacking in completion of ongoing projects or being cynical to projects initiated by his predecessors.

FG standard guage rail

Lagos redline light rail metro rail

Lagos played smart here. The red line will use part of the Lagos Ibadan tracks, instead of having to build new tracks.

Moreso, its not as if train will be plying the Lagos Ibadan track every minute so it makes more sense to look for a way to make it more useful.

What Sagay should understand is that Red Line Rail is already in place as done by Federal Govt. Lagos State is just leveraging on existing infrastructure done by FG on Lagos- Ibadan Railway line by providing additional Rail Stations at Oyingbo, Yaba, Oshodi, Ikeja, iju,alagbado etc and Places where FG did not put Stations on the Lagos-Ibadan Railway Line.

Also Lagos State Government will provide it own red line coaches in addition to FG coaches plying Lagos to Ibadan, while Lagos Coaches will only stop at Agbado or Ota

Lagos State Government will provide additional infrastructure of Pedestrian and vehicular bridges as done in Agege over the lines.

It is a smart move by Lagos State Government under Gov. Sanwo-Olu.

Much progress have been made on the blue line with bridge crossing the Lagoon completed down to outer Marina on Lagos Island. The blue line is almost 90% completed.

The project has been confusing me since I read the report and observed the little work Lagos was doing around Yaba.

Is a Minister of Works not an office in perpetuity?

Minister of Works saying he was following procedure in release of funds for a project doesn't necessarily mean the person of Fashola.

Infact, the person making the submission before the senate may not even be Fashola, but a representative of the Minister of Works.

The responsibility of a Minister in a contract is not personally borne by the person occupying the office.
