Then how many states do they have in the North to ensure they garner enough electoral college votes?? Before such a policy comes into play, there'll definitely be a true census to ascertain the correct population of people residing in each states.

I know you're quite aware that the numbers most northern states keep churning out in every election is a hoax and fabricated figures.
when we're ready for electoral reforms then all these things will be put into consideration.
Southerners have been shouting hoax since the 1950s. undecided

The winner will be known in few days time. But the actual voting by the electors will take place in December.

The electors for each state is expected to vote for the winner of that state. Except in some few cases.

-Exactly.

-If he is indeed still breathing, he may well be in natural coma.

-Comas can last from a day to several weeks. In some but very rare cases, a coma may last as long as several years, after which the patient gradually wakes but may immediately progress into a vegetative state, or die soon after.
He would have died from lack of food and water.

Where's evidence that the guy died in a motorcycle accident and not at Lekki?

And what did he hope to achieve by denying their aunt?
By clarifying that the person in the video that went viral is not their mother?

The onus of proof lies with the party making an allegation. You seem to be among the people who are of the opinion he died at Lekki toll gate shooting incident. You are the one who'll show proof he indeed died in Lekki. And not the way round.

The same thing happened to the lady with the gory picture of cracked skull (may she RIP). It went viral initially that she died at the toll gate shooting until it was brought up that she died in a motor cycle accident. Infact, condolences have already gone out for her on instagram before the night incident at the toll gate. It was said that she died with two other male victims. Who knows if the guy in question is among the male victim in the story.

Do you now understand why they have been asking for the family members of the dead to come forward?

It is so they can buy them with money and make them sing another tune.

The idiot in the video claimed the woman who spoke is their mother's sister, so their mother's sister has no right to speak on the death of her nephew?

From his face you can tell he's hungry and can do anything for money.
You are already calling the guy an idiot, despite not having the facts of the matter at your disposal. Does that not make you the idiot if indeed the guy is right?

Does that not make you an embodiment of what we are protesting against? If you are already dishing abuses, calling him hungry, etc simply for airing his opinion and without you having any credible and verifiable information that he is lying about his identity.

You know your response is a joke ... Right?

Military don't operate a morgue in the first place.

It is absurd illegality for military to kill and hide the bodies of their victims and that is why they must not have a comfortable way of doing that. Illegality thrives in Nigeria and the citizenry have been so much dimistified to the extent of not knowing what human rights is.

It is only in a sick place like Nigeria you'll see such impunity and people will be supporting it blindly.

You are now ignorantly mentioning top ranks in the military as if we are in a theater of war. Every single step taken by Nigeria Army since the beginning of this unfortunate act is in error and cannot stand the test of true justice.

We have seen videos of Armies and police (not only in Nigeria though) burying their victims in shallow graves or throwing them away in the ocean/rivers.. If they were authorize to operate a morgue, why going through the stress?
Nobody is supporting anything. A lot of you people in this country are just aversed to due process. It is you that is a joke with a closed mind.

You are asking why the military owns a morgue, are you for real?? Why not also ask why they own hospitals, drug manufacturing companies and other non-combat outfits?

If you don't know there is no morgue either private or govt owned you can go without necessary official request/court order and they will grant you access based on verbal request, then you must be an illiterate or poorly educated.

You are joking right?

They will never be granted access as they never wrote a formal request nor did they present a court order.

You expect the soldiers at the gate to just open the door for them without receiving orders from their bosses?

You want Chief of Army Staff to grant others based on verbal request?

PoliticsRe: BREAKING: Lekki Massacre Now On Wilkipedia by agabusta: 5:24am On Oct 27, 2020
GTkester:
How? When even US Sec of State acknowledge it.

Listen, massacre is not about how many casualties, or the number of people killed, and this is something the BMC crew don't know. Nay, Massacre is more about a reckless and unnecessary use of force.

If you are fighting with someone and the police just opened fire on the both of you and killed you, at such moments ones death can be referred to as massacre.

So when peaceful protesters numbering in their thousands gathered for protests and the military (which BTW are not supposed to be there) are called to disperse them, but instead of using rubber bullets, water canon, and tear gas, decided to use live ammunitions against unarmed protesters, boy best believe there's no amount if spinning by the BMC that will absolve the military from the guilt of massacre.

BMC, I urge you people to understand that life does not revolve around nairaland.
The shooting and killing of unarmed protesters is callous and absurd, perpetrators must definitely be brought to book as a future deterrence.

Notwithstanding, I'm looking at your grammatical understanding of the word massacre and I find it very faulty and at variance with the global understanding of the meaning of massacre.

Many people must be involved before it can rightly be referred to as a massacre. Kindly note that this clarification does not in any way justify shooting of protesters.

To put the word in proper context, try and look up massacres that has happened in the past on the internet. And it will be clear that the word is used in relation to indiscriminate killing (not necessarily by shooting even) of multiple people.

What you see in America is the National Guard Unit, they appear in rare cases, as I believe you are aware of.

In which country do you see the army mounting road blocks almost in every stretch of the roads? From SW to SE, they are ubiquitous. They even go to the extent of collecting money, extortion.

Do you assume what we find i n Nigeria to be normal?
The US National guard is military, as I clearly stated before. They were called in to support an overwhelmed civilian force just as it happens in Nigeria. The only difference is the frequency of the deployment in Nigeria; and its basically because our police is short staffed in relation to our National population.

The ubiquitous army checkpoints were mounted as a result of the boko haram war. Any country battling an internal war has such military checkpoints.

The extortion is a national embarrasment and also a systemic problem with the entire country.

Virtually all govt agencies in Nigeria extort the vulnerable masses. The police and military own is particularly distastful because of the disciplined role they are supposed to play and also because they bear arms.

Nigeria is one of the strange countries where the military play internal roles in her governance. And it has never turned out well.

Can you imagine any civilized society where seeing a soldier, not just seeing one, but soldiers in day to day running of civilian activities is rampant? Until this country is demilitarised, we are still running in circles.

Within next 10 years now, Buratai will start campaigning to be a president, not because he meant well for the nation. Rather simply because he has allegedly stolen and needs to steal more from the country.

Nigeria Army you all need reorientation!
When the police and other civil defence units are overwhelmed in any country, the military is mobilised for internal security. Even the US did same recently.

It is okay for MASSOB to give clarification on the Ezu River debacle including the judicial inquiry that was set up by state government. My question is what happened afterwards? Did the dead eventually obtain justice? What did the state government do to punish the perpetrators? or was there no evidence, or any logical conclusions of the enquiry?
Instead of this MASSOB 'spokesman' to call for a release of the report of the panel set up by Peter Obi. He is asking for another panel to be set up.

Shameless boy. Where were you then?

Where was the voice of the Entire Ndigbo?

Where was Ohaneze's voice? If this happened today, would you be talking nonsense about Peter Obi and Aljazeera? Wouldnt you be copying UN, POTUS, EU, ICC, etc?

So since he couldn't get anything from the police, it was okay for Ndigbo to go to sleep.and wave the incident of then killings off. Would they do the same if such happened today?

Why was the East as calm as any other day? Where was the cry of genocide? Where was the cry of ethnic cleansing? Or it was okay to kill Igbos as long as a southerner, a christian, and a pdp government is the one doing the killing?

You see how stupid you sound?

God forbid! Your hypocrisy stinks to heaven and hell.
Its surprising that Peter Obi was very active and vociferous when it was alledged that Fashola deported some indigenes of his state. He even personally visited the president with a protest letter.

But on this killing and dumped bodies, he went quiet and missing in action. He never publicised a visit to the president with a protest letter just like in the former case.

Ironically, he is regarded as a Hero on the former case, and excused on the latter that "he does not control the police" and so its okay to fold arms? Hypocrisy!
