FamilyRe: Wedding Day Deception? by agathamari(f): 8:28pm On Apr 01, 2010
tpiah:
I guess the OP's point here is Nigerian women should kneel down when giving their husbands food.

It shouldnt be a one day only thing ie only happening on the wedding day.

una no dey appreciate men ni? huh

its things like this that make the men run to other countries to find wives.
women from other countries find this highly degrading. watch wedding videos from other countries. 3 things happen. they feed eachother in turn both siting or standing, they feed eachother simultaneously or they smash the cake in eachothers faces
CultureRe: Mis-used And Mis-pronounced English Words by agathamari(f): 8:23pm On Apr 01, 2010
lami4life:
Romeo, do wordings of TODAY'S songs provide the benchmark for your measurement of good english? I wouldn't use dat as a basis if i were you! tongue I'd rather suggest the use of an advanced dictionary or advanced grammar books.

On your literal application of 'take pesonally' and reference to similar phrases, let me ask you these:

- Why is the plural form of sheep, sheep when similar words have 's' added ?
- Why is the plural form of Chief, chiefs and not chieves like we find in words like Leaf-leaves?
-Why is it permissible to use 'she' for ships when it they are not humans?
-Why, in spite of the rule in english language that vowels should be preceeded by the word 'an', are some 'h' words preceeded by 'an' and others are not ?
english used to have gender specific pronouns like spanish, italian and others still do. the female pronouns were droped leaving the male (the, a, an) though many of the "female" words like ship are still refered to as her by default
CultureRe: Mis-used And Mis-pronounced English Words by agathamari(f): 7:23pm On Apr 01, 2010
misused words: chop (as to eat food or spend money), nylon (refering to plastic bags), gist, plate (when refering to a bowl) graft, toast (as in flirting), gown (as in all dresses are gowns), tea, x-ray (as to examine), terrorist (as in only suicide bombers who are members of al-qedea are terrorist), indigent, many others

RomanceRe: How Tolerant Are You by agathamari(f): 7:02pm On Apr 01, 2010
look at it from the marriage stand point. you vow to:
Love - cant love someone and expose them to diseases
Honor - cant honor someone when you are running around flirting with or sleeping with other girls/guys
Cherish - cant cherish someone when you are exposing them to emotional and psychological abuse
Forsake all other and remain faithful - self explanatory

not all STD have symptoms or cures.  Not all STD can be prevented with condom use.  condoms are not 100% effective.  some STD can be passed to the baby - not just HIV and HEP C but a child can be born with chlamydia/gonorrhea in their eyes and mouth even if the mother has no symptoms.  you want to do this to your child?  cervical cancer is caused by an STD the condoms offer only slight protection against.  even if you have children - you think they don't know what is going on?  you want your son/daughter to grow up thinking they are supposed to cheat because mommy/daddy did?  you want your son/daughter to grow up thinking there is nothing wrong with their spouse cheating on them because mommy/daddy stayed?  Have some dignity.  if your spouse cheated on you sexually he/she showed you that his/her lust is more important then you life.  your marriage was over the moment he/she started to look at another woman/man.
HealthRe: Hair by agathamari(f): 6:51pm On Apr 01, 2010
Confuse10:
@ agathamari smiley thank you. She is in the army and she always put tons of product in her hair even though her hair does not get messy easily. She put her hair in the tight bunn and sometimes i have to talk to her about putting her hair down and take her boots off before she takes her nap. She sometimes listen, but she just usually go straight to the couch or her bed. She doesnt like her hair down since it is long, black waivy all the way down to the bottom of her butt. sad
try to encourage her to cut her hair (not realy short but shorter than it is) and that she shoul dsleep with clean (product free) hair that is unrestrained. if the issue doent begin to correct itself withing 2 weeks - take her to a lab for blood work to rule out diet, hormones or infections
HealthRe: My Girlfriend Is HIV Positive But: by agathamari(f): 6:40pm On Apr 01, 2010
if you have HIV or any disease or sever genetic condition that could be passed to your child - do not be selfish and have children! you would not want to burden you child with what you are going through. If you must absolutly raise a child because culture or family demands it or if you feel your life isnt complete without one then adopt! stop praying for a cure to whatever it is and stop the spread of he disease itself. dont let your child become yet another statistic
HealthRe: Hair by agathamari(f): 10:28am On Apr 01, 2010
how is her diet? lack of vitamins can cause it.
does she have any infections? staph can lead to hair loss as well as some parasites
does she normaly wear her hair in braids or in tight weaves? excessive pulling on the folical can cause it to die
does she always have her hair up or use heavy leave in conditioning products? the hair folicles must breath- always sleep with your hair "down" and loose
HealthRe: Cure For Snoring. Pls! by agathamari(f): 10:12am On Apr 01, 2010
snoring has mutiple causes: excess fat on the throat, deviated septum, loose pallet.  each has its own treatment.  see and ear, nose and throat specialist or have a sleep study done to find out the cause before you can seek treatment.  untill then encourage her to lay on her side when she sleeps

but these little things could cause problems in marriage if not observed and delt with. so be wise
if something this petty becomes a problem, then you have far more serious issues in your relationship

Christianity EtcRe: Why Do Christians Close Eyes While Praying? by agathamari(f): 11:47am On Mar 30, 2010
closing of your eyes is supposed to show you are concentrating on the lord and ignoring all distractions, that he is the most important thing in that moment. the covering of hair is a nigerian/african thing not dictated by the church and most countries dont do it.
Foreign AffairsRe: A Nuclear Free World? by agathamari(f): 11:06am On Mar 30, 2010

sweetliet:
u wl c him 1ce in a month,

sweetliet:
d care n respect s reduced because he said his friends sees him as a fool. Etc

some "rules" are appropriate others ludicrous.

RomanceRe: Calling Or Chatting With Your Partner's Friend Without His/her Knowledge. by agathamari(f): 10:43am On Mar 30, 2010
put it this way a emotional affiar/emotional infidelity is defined as a secret relaionship without sexual contact with or without a sexual desire with a member of the oposite gender (same gender if your gay). a secret phone call or meeting (unless planing say a birthday party or something else legitimate) is by definition an emotional affiar.

RomanceRe: Ex - Boyfriend Telling Tales . . . Please Help. by agathamari(f): 10:34am On Mar 30, 2010
take this as a learning experience.  he cheated on you before, there is no reason why you should think he wouldnt do it again.  break off contact with him and go on with your life.  the fact he neede to be friends with you and "bragged" about who he slept with and then told people about what happend in the park after you stopped being his friend shows he had no respect for you in general, you dont need people like that around you.  keep only to friends you know can be trusted and are well intentioned.
