HealthRe: Cervical Cancer In Women, why It Is On The Rise? by agathamari(f): 4:47am On Jun 10, 2010
hpv causes most cases of cervical cancer and is very easy to contract and the strains that cause cancer do not have symptoms (strains that cause warts are not believed to lead to cervical cancer)

ALL women should have a pap smear every 2 years after thier first sexual encounter. HPV vaccines are available for women and in some countries men and is predicted to prevent nearly 90% of cervical cancer. your daughter should have the HPV vaccine long before she begins having relations, before she even thinks about having relations. it is recomeded for children aged 10-12.

RomanceRe: Contraception - Do Our Naija Women Believe It Is A Bad Thing? by agathamari(f): 3:41am On Jun 06, 2010
condoms are not 100% effective. depending on the study they are between 75-95%when used and stored properly (below 80 degree f).  not all std's can be prevented with condom use.  fluid transmitted std's like the clap/hiv/hep c are preventable in most cases.  contact std's like herpes/crabs are NOT preventable.  hpv is debated but most believe it is not preventable and only 6 out of the 30+ variant/strains have symptoms  (warts) while another 5 cause cervical cancer and there have been ties to testicular cancer as well. nearly 80% of women will contract some strain of hpv in their lifetime - hpv vaccines are available to women and in some countries men.  family planning/bilings method is only effective if you know the actual date of ovulation which can happen at any time during a woman's cycle (it is possible to become pregnant while on your period) and can happen multiple times during a cycle.  if you know you and your partner are clean and faithful you can use hormonal birth control, copper iud's, spermicide, sponges, diaphragms or condoms as well as surgical methods (male is more effective, easier to reverse and less likely to cause complications).  some people view it as being agaist god and wrong especially when married to use birth control, but if it is agaist god to prevent a pregnancy wouldn't it also be agaist god to kill the child?

you are in a relationship because the person wants to be with you, not for convinience. the ratio of men to women is about 50/50 so the bull shite that men have to cheat because blah blah blah is bull shite. if your friend doesnt respect herself, no one will. she is far better off alone then putting her life in danger with a man who will do nothing but give her a disease.

if both are as then they have a 25% chance of a child with sickle, 50% of a carrier and 25% of a healthy baby. now if they plan on either having a "test tube baby" or selective abortion there is no way of preventing it.
HealthRe: Your Thoughts On Female G.enital Mutilation by agathamari(f): 3:02am On Jun 05, 2010
male circumcision removes part of the skin covering the manliness, it decreases the likelyhood of infection (HIV, yeast, std's) and some claim it may reduce sensitivity.  female circumcision almost always involves removal of the clit.  without a clit woman can not achieve an org.sm.  depending on the type depends on how much of the vag.inal region is removed.  inner lips are often removed, in some cases the outer lips are sewn together leaving a small hole to pee/menstruate out of and the woman is cut open on her wedding night (some remote tribes allow the husband to sew her shut after every "use"wink.  the closest procedure to a male circumcision would be a labiaplasty where the inner lips are shortened.  female circumcision increase the risk of urinary track infections, bacterial and fungal vag.inal infections.  no big change in std's though.

though it may make women less likely to cheat, it does nothing to prevent men from cheating.  how many men here would cheat on their wives if she was incapable of enjoying intimacy, or it was painful as is in cases of type 3 circumcision?

Christianity EtcRe: How Did Black People Become Black? by agathamari(f): 3:42pm On Jun 04, 2010
Jenwitemi:
The middle easterns like the arabs were also exposed to extreme amount of sunlight, but that did not affect their light skin pigmentation. No, this theory is not convincing at all. But let us leave the skin color thing for now, okay. What about the different features of each race? How did those come about? How did black africans get their negroid features and the oriental races got their slanty eyes and slight statures? This question is yet to be answered by any other theory apart from the intervention theory.

We definitely did not come from the same source. I stay with the intervention theory for now because no other theory has been more acceptable and convincing to me. My view is, there were different "adam and eve" labs in different parts of the world where these first humans were genetically engineered to have features peculiar to that part of the world. It was a global project to help repopulate the earth after a global cataclysm.

Black people were engineered on the african continent, with the favourite lab location of the negroid "Adam and Eve" specimens being somewhere in southern africa area. But that is based on pure speculation. And yes, i believe that we were genetically engineered to be the way we are now, each race. Who the engineers were and when this was done is purely speculative and thus open to debate.
most anthropologist view middle easterns as a mix as a result of the nords, hytocks, seminites and nubians who all inhabited the same region durring the same time period.  as far as fetures go that has been explained through climatatic exposure as well.  have you not read anything on evolution of man at all?  again colder climates.  those people in regions of cold climates have smaller noses/lips, smaller bosoms, less rotation in the pelvis (smaller hips/backside) and other fetures to conserve body heat.  the height of man is throughnatural selection.  the hight of man now is far greater then it was 1,000 years ago talk less of 100,000 years ago.  adverage height for a man in the time of the ancient egyptian and roman empires was only about 5 feet tall.  when women prefer taller men to "mate" with the children that result are taller, if they prefer shorter men then they will remain the same height or in rare cases be shorter.  just as in certine areas of africa (sorry dont remeber the tribes who participate but in the kenya area) mates are chosen by thier ability to jump.  humans in that area have a slightly differnt muscle formation as a result of generations of this selection process.  the eyes have been debated but are believed to be either part of the mate selection process or as a result of thier enviroment (cold temperatures/wind) to protect thier eyes.  the same feature can be found in all races to varing degrees, in oriental ethnic groups it is a dominant feature.

We should also consider the "Intervention theory" in this discussion. http://www.lloydpye.com/ ,
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNGngZsxAhw, http://www.redicecreations.com/radio/2007/08aug/RICR-070809.html

We could have been genetically engineered to be black right from the onset. The theory of long exposure to sunlight changing the pigmentation of black people to black skin color is neither exactly accurate, nor adequate. I personally do not buy it. Many other races were also exposed to sunlight, but they did not go through this pigmentation changes.
look at people native to areas of direct sunlight and hot temperatures - less clothing (africa/oceania/indian islands) they are dark, hot areas with dense tree cover (south america/southern asia) are dark brown, those in areas of cold temperatures (cover thier bodies so less direct sun exposure) they are paler. the less pigmintation the skin has the more uv light is obsorbed (what created vit d and seritonin). when you are directly in the sun you can afford (as far as production of vit d) to have more skin protecting melatonin while when you have very limited expoure to the sun because of clothing you have to sacrifice the skin protecting melitonin for the ability to obsorb more uv light to produce vit d. now inuets are exempt from this because thier traditional diet is rich in vit d foods and as such didnt have to sacrifice thier skin protection.

Christianity EtcRe: Are Christians And Moslems Worshipping The Same God? by agathamari(f): 2:56am On Jun 03, 2010
the jews were first, they said that god would send them a savior.  jesus came and a group followed him to create christianity.  the jews still waited for their savior.  mohamed came and a group followed him creating islam.  the jews still wait.  there have been and still are dozens of other sub-cults within this religious tree, but all have thier roots in the same god
