Were was his verifications for the T80s, Super Tucano's, Bofors Archer, ect ect ect
Hey dude, stop dragging this froum back on old resolved issues as if your brain is bound from making progress in discussion.

T-80 tank I never claimed, nobody ever did. It was T-84 you dummy. Source was posted here many times from Ukraine, the tanks were photographed at the airport and the Ukrainian lawyer were complaining about the sale to Nigeria during their own war time of need.

Super Tucano go ask South African defenceweb why he published the story of the offer by NAF.

Bofors Archer I never claimed. You don`t even know the names of these weapons you are screaming about grin grin

It was Bofors FH-77B, and any claim I made about Bofors was backed up with website sources from respected Army Guide, if there is any error in it, go ask the author of Army Guide website so he can explain how he made his mistake.

Now stop repeating the same story over and over as if you entered accounting school brainless but admitted because you are white

It was not me that said Nigeria is buying Super Tucano, it was Nigeria`s Vice President and South African defenceweb magazine .

So how am I responsible for information that originates from credible sources? I think you need brain surgery from the way you think.

Now go call South African defenceweb a liar for spreading false information about NAF buying Tucano.

Turkey doesn't have an intention to extend the endurance, Since current inner fuel tanks keep Atak three hours on air without needing any air refueling. BTW, Turkey is producing 91 T-129 Atak helicopter for her own needs at present. If you consider 3 hours of endurance each, You are going to see that It is a strategic offensive forces Atak provides to Turkish Land Forces.

https://defense-update.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/t129batak725.jpg

In recce/strike modes, Turkish concept is not to sacrifice any million $ helicopter with approaching dangerous zone, especially If You have a serious enemy like Greece. If you approach into such close ranges, Your copter is going to be a nice target which can be shot down easily. Greece is like a paradise of surface to air missiles.

Contrary to this, Turkish attack helicopter concept is developed with relaying highly on sensor qualities, highly advanced automatic identification softwares on FLIR and millimetric wave radar project. Instead of stepping into dangerous zones controlled by enemy, Atak will detect/identify target with a range from 25km thanks to FLIR, 40km thanks to MMW radar.

You can read the type of targets in Turkish identified by 300T FLIR (Bus, Car, Human...etc).
https://i606.photobucket.com/albums/tt148/cabatli53/hedeftepit-2.jpg

If the whether conditions block receiving serious electro-optic data, Then MMW radar with SAR mode will scan the 40km zone to identify a target. If It is a light armoured vehicle like APC or soldiers detected, Cirit missiles will be choosed to eliminate. If It is a main battle tank, It will be the line of Mizrak-L or IIr missiles. 20mm Gun is not choosed to penetrate/surpass enemy tank forces. As You also know that Tanks don't move without protection and attacking to a tank with 20mm gun is a madness for crew so The situation will be like above. Besides, Turkey is familiar with advantages of 20mm gathling gun since AH-1W Turkey operates have also similar system on it. It is the best selection against assymetric threats and light armoured soft targets.

https://img.bemil.chosun.com/nbrd/data/10044/upfile/201111/20111103212953.jpg

Turkish Army knows the serious advantages of 20mm gun and actively using it against terrorists. 20mm gatling guns are more heat resistant than 30mm single barrel equivalents so Enemy can be surpassed more quickly.

An operation video of Turkish attack helicopters

Nice information. Thanks a million.

It's almost certain Nigeria will buy a squadron or two of the T-129 ATAK.....Attacker !

I am not Nigerian. I am just talking about ongoing agenda and expressing my hopes regarding likely further cooperations.
The Turks will do well to extend the endurance of the T-129 from 3 hours to 5 hours with option of 4 drop tanks of fuel, so the helicopter in that recce/strike mode only has the cannon as offensive weapon. It can attack the target and call in air support, the cannon won't kill a tank, but also a tank wond run away out of sight so easily, unlike soft skin targets like personnel or cars. Most armoured vehicles cannot survive 20mm cannon shells from their roof top. The driver and occupants heads will be b.lasted.

"Iran and Iraq Accept Peace Terms (Aug, 1988): In July of 1988, when Iran had been pushed out of Iraq, while suffering invasions from Iraqi forces inside its own borders once again, it agreed to UN-established peace terms (a return to the status quo from before the war). Iraq was not prepared to accept peace terms while it was making advances into Iran . But by August, its efforts had bogged down, compelling Iraq to also agree to peace terms, ending the war."

2. You dont need carrier air-cover off your own coast as that is provided by land based aircraft

LOL....I just ruined your argument of conventional war grin grin

War ended on Iraqi territory according to you? Citation needed.

The war ended on both territories, on land, air and sea of both countries.

PROOF:

Location: Iran–Iraq border
Result: Stalemate
Iraqi failure to annex territories on the east bank of the Shatt al-Arab and bolster Arab separatism in the region of Khuzestan
Iranian failure to invade and capture Iraqi territory and to topple Saddam Hussein
UNSC Resolution 598

The last notable combat actions of the war took place on 3 August 1988, in the Persian Gulf when the Iranian navy fired on a freighter and Iraq launched chemical attacks on Iranian civilians, killing an unknown number of them and wounding 2,300.

MikeCZAR:
An aircraft carrier is surface vessel.

A balanced navy has surface and sub-surface capabilities.
An aircraft carrier is NOT an ordinary surface vessel, it is a surface vessel with full air to air combat capabilities, air power at sea.

Your navy in Soweto does not have one.....sorry o grin grin
.

patches689:
Because you say so?

42 Nations have submarines

around 6-7 Navies have operational carriers (China and UK have no combat ready carriers, Spains are also non-operational)

Are you saying that there are only 6-7 balanced navies in the world?

The Navies of Japan and Korea, both of which fall in the top 10 most powerfull in the world - are not balanced?

Same for Saudi, Egypt, Mexico, Canada, Germany, Spain (their carriers are no-more), Turkey?

Dude, you are a joke.

The ability to deploy fixed wing aircraft at sea has nothing to do with balance and is all about force projection
Force projection capability is part of a balanced military force. Reason why armies have amphibious armoured vehicles to operate on water.

A balanced navy can hold it's own and survive in a high threat environment of sub surface, surface, and air borne threats.

Thus a balanced navy has an aircraft carrier for air cover and air superiority off their coastline beyond help of their own air force.

That is what the military world calls COMPLETE FLEET AIR ARM.

Does not matter is only 10 countries of the world have aircraft carriers, fact is that a balanced navy has at least one aircraft carrier.

Many countries who don't want to use their own do keep it in reserve like China and Britain.

India has bought aircraft carrier and is using it now.

British navy has an aircraft carrier not in use, yet it was the balance of that single aircraft carrier that saved the British navy from total defeat in war with Argentina.

If the British had no aircraft carrier, the Argentine air force would have sank all their entire navy fleet and Britain will lose the war.

Yes, it proves my point from war history, a balanced navy has an aircraft carrier or else it will lose war to air threat.

You want to remove aircraft carrier from naval requirement because South Africa does not have one, fact is that your navy is NOT balanced until you have aircraft carrier, deal with it grin grin

NATO kicked Taliban out of Afghanistan
After 10 years of NATO war in Afghanistan, Taliban is still s.hooting down US Navy Seals special forces helicopter and killing American commandos like houseflies. You said Taliban has been kicked out, yet in 2014 same Taliban controls huge lands and kills NATO troops at random, does an enemy you have kicked out still exist where you kicked them out, control land, make laws, and kill the same person that 'kicked them out' ?

You fvcking liar !

BY BILL ROGGIO | October 22, 2014 |

"The Afghan Taliban took control of three districts, one in the province of Wardak which is just south of Kabul, and the other two in the northern province of Kunduz, that were heavily contested during the US troop surge that began in 2010 and ended in 2011. One of the districts was the scene of the Taliban’s shoot down of a US helicopter that resulted in the deaths of 31 special operations personnel, including 17 US Navy SEALs.

Reports from Afghanistan indicate that the district of Sayyidabad in Wardak as well as the districts of Chahar Darah and Dasht-i-Archi in Kunduz province are under the Taiban’s thumb.

A reporter from the BBC recently visited the Tangi Valley in the district of Sayyidabad and noted that the Taliban fully control the district. He was given a tour by Said Rahman, the Taliban’s shadow district governor who is “popularly known as Governor Badr.”

Taliban fighters openly patrol the district during the daytime, while Afghan troops are confined to a small hilltop outpost.

Taliban judges mediate land and other disputes. Taxes are collected. Schools, which are funded by the Afghan government, teach the Taliban’s curriculum, while girls are not allowed to attend. [See BBC report, Life inside a Taliban stronghold.]

Further north, in the province of Kunduz, Afghan officials admit that “the Taliban controls virtually all of two out of seven districts in Kunduz – Chahar Darah and Dasht-i-Archi,’ Reuters reports.

“It is gaining influence elsewhere, and residents say it has been able to because what little state authority exists is viewed with deep mistrust,” Reuters continues.

In Kunduz, the Taliban collects a 10 percent tax from farmers and business, mediates disputes in its courts, and runs the local schools."
