First you said that you could carry the Cobra has well

So now its only one LAV

Then you said it was the Hind and the M171

Now its only the M171

Your story keeps changing.

So you have one platform that can carry one LAV? So what?

This all goes back to your orignional point of argument: lack of standardization of nigerian military equipment. You have two types of LAV when you only need one?

SANDF has the capabilility and actually trains to perform us - show us Nigeria slinging one vehical under a helicopter. Your pilots and men dont know how to do it!

So, first

1. Explain why you need 2 LAV's (apart from the fact that your military is poorly designed and planned and has ended up with a disorganized mess)
2. Show us the Nigerian military training for "air-lift" capabilities.

And FYI - we do have a ULAV... its called the Hornet, look it up
I meant Mi-171 and Super Puma, we have two different types of armed combat helicopters that can carry our VBL LAV into battle where there is no airport to land.

Cobra LAV is carried by G-222 aircraft.

VBL is needed for helicopter air lift where there is no airbase to land an aircraft and our frontline troops need armoured amphibious vehicle delivered to them. SANDF is too 'standardized' to achieve that advanced capability.

Cobra is faster, carries more load and firepower than VBL, reason for having cobra too.

Reason why advanced NATO countries have recce LAV and combat LAV. The VBL is primarily an armed recce platform and can carry ATGM if needed. Its main edge is easy helicopter sling transport with our Super Puma and Terminator.

SANDF has NO SINGLE armoured amphibious LAV, the Hornet is a toy with open roof and body that CANNOT protect your soldiers from ordinary AK-47.

SANDF 'standardization' is a big lie to cover up your lack of special modern logistical and operational capabilities that we have in Nigerian military

The number 18, is just that. 18. It says 18 Gripen aircrew (pilots and navigators) and 52 Hawk aircrew.
This is from September 2013. You are free to post the link which splits those 18 into 9 and 9.
All SAAF combat pilots fly far far and far below the standard hours for qualification. Sources repeated here many times from whistle blowers inside South Africa say the average Gripen jet pilot flies only about 10 % of required hours, 10 % score in any exam is enough failure to get you kicked out of University to go learn carpentry or tailoring

A-darter has been inducted
Stealth OPV bidding has finished today
Mokopa is not needed but ready for use.
A-Darter is NOT yet in service, NOT ordered , same way Mokopa is NOT ordered and NOT in service.

Your OPV bidding process is a mouth only talk show that is 10 years behind NAF JF-17 Thunder that has been chosen, tested, inspected, evaluated, recommended and awaiting only paper signature, budgeted for in cash and ALL DUE PROCESS COMPLETED

You lost a helicopter and a jet last year alone
NOT an F-7 jet. NAF pilots have mastered the F-7 jet and used it so fantastically in combat, that it will be a just like ordinary target practice to shoot down SAAF Gripen jets with our BVR missiles

Okay, when SANDF has inducted A-Darter missile, inducted Mokopa missile, inducted new navy stealth OPVs, stop posting them here, get it ?

There is no evidence to support your 9 pilots and 9 navigators argument

It states 18 aircrew - that can be any combination of pilots and navigators.

Your numbers are nothing more than speculation

Proof is available and has been repeatedly posted on this forum many times, South African sources proved you have 9 pilots and 0 pilots qualified in standard 150 hours per year.

NO SINGLE combat pilot is qualified to fly Gripen jet in SAAF by international standards of qualification.

Your pilots just take off and land for ceremonies and air shows, that's all.

Gripen is 1995 version?

Delivered from the mid-2000's?

Lol ok
Delivery date means NOTHING, your SAAF got the old 1995 Gripen C/D version and NOTHING more than that !

Brazil is buying the more modern Gripen E and Sweden is doing the same. Your SAAF Gripen C/D version is obsolescent since 20 years ago it was introduced into service, 20 year old version and obsolescent tongue tongue

Fact remains

If the Su30 is so good, why is India replacing it with the Rafale?
India has NOT bought one single Rafale till today, and they are NOT replacing Su-30, India is just spreading it's weapon procurement base to include both western and eastern origin to avoid crippling effect of arms embargo, like Pakistan is now doing same after F-16 political issues, Pakis now add Chinese JF-17 to their air force combat inventory list, or does that mean the JF-17 is replacing the F-16 ?

NOPE

Hinds maximum external payload is 1,500 kg

VBL weighs 3.5 to 4 tonnes

M-171
Loaded weight: 11,100 kg (24,470 lb)
Max. takeoff weight: 13,000 kg (28,660 lb)

Octokar Cobra weight 6200 kg

You dont have any LAV's you can transport by Helo's

Meanwhile the SANDF has vehicals that are easily air transportable and are the envy of Nigeria.

Yet another advantage the SANDF has over Nigeria!
Your helicopter is carrying an unarmed, open roof, slow speed, dry land only, zero armour protection Gecko vehicle and you call that an advantage grin grin

Fool, your air force can even carry Keke Marwa Tricycle instead of Gecko grin grin

NAF, I meant Mi-171 Terminator can carry VBL light armoured vehicles while

"The multifunctional cargo cabin has a length of 5.34m, width of 2.34m and a height of 1.8m. It provides enough internal space to carry 4,000kg of payload.

"The Mi-171Sh was specifically designed for operating in combat missions in local armed conflicts."
The helicopter can transport up to 4,000kg of cargo externally under sling. The main cabin features internal winch facilities, while the floor has tie-down rings for cargo transport."

http://www.army-technology.com/projects/mi-171sh-combat-transport-helicopter/

Nigerian air force armed combat Super Puma helicopters can do the same job.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurocopter_AS332_Super_Puma

NAF has two options, our Mi-171 helicopter and Super Puma can each carry 4,000 kg load, so any of them can sling airlift our army's combat 3,500 kg VBL amphibious light armoured vehicles to frontline. PROVED.

Obsolete SANDF has no LAV that a helicopter can carry, or you helicopter want to carry your MRAP ? grin grin

The only one deceiving people is you. Why are you threatened by my presence on this forum is it because your country has an inferior air force compared to my beloved Angola. What's wrong with you homezinho. I'm honored that you think I'm a SA citizen while your other fellow call me a "portugese" crop duster Oooops!!!tongue "crop sprayer"grin mechanic.

There is no 2014 Russian produced SU-30 only India and China currently has licensed production lines for there SU-30MKI and J-11 respectively.

The SU-30's is a great 3rd gen + fighter but it was built to counter the F-16 and F-18's used by predominantly Western powers. But it no longer holds an edge, that's why Russia is focusing on SU-35's to counter the growing threat of the F-22, F-35(still in development), Gripen Jas39C/NG, Eurofighter and lastly the Rafale.

Since you dream so much can you explain why India the second largest user of the SU-30's outside Russia is currently opting to buy 126 Rafale fighters.
You think you are a threat to me and my senior Nigerian brothers on this forum? You of all people?

EVEN IF AN F7 JET CAN BE ARMED WITH BVR IT WILL STILL NOT DEFEAT GRIPEN JET. THE GRIPEN JET WILL DETECT IT FIRST WITH ITS WIDER DETECTION RADAR AND STAND A CHANCE TO FIRE THE FIRST SHOT. The maximum altitude of any air to air missile is equal to the maximum altitude of the jet fighter launching it. Fool grin grin

Also, my photo showed you that when a modern day missile is strictly ground launch version, they are stored/cased inside silos/boxes, or tubes

When it is same missile that is attached to aircraft pylons/hardpoint for air launch, the missiles are also pylon/hardpoint attached to launcher in the ground based version because it's exactly the same missile.
