In year 2008 the American Army tested the "Advanced Modular Gun Demonstrator" that had a range of 135 Km. we do not know if they are actually going to deploy it in service with american army up till today year 2013 since five years ago they tested it successfully.

Mobility

For long distance, a cross country truck tows the FH77B05. The towing truck and gun can travel at the speed of 80 km/h. For short periods of time and when road conditions allow, the speed can increase. For cross-country driving, the gun can be tandem-driven from the towing truck. The FH77 B05 has a high powered engine which has been turbo charged for high altitude requirements and is capable of aiming direct fire at moving targets as well. Gun laying is carried out hydraulically using variable servo valves. Laying can be carried out using the following modes:

Normal:
Automatic laying by the HCU. The HCU calculates obtained firing data, prevents laying outside the gun’s laying and firing limitations and automatically lays onto target.

Direct Fire:
When laying using the joystick, the HCU calculates the ?ring data automatically and aiming takes place with no further action. The HCU prevents laying outside the gun’s laying and ?ring limitations.

Technician’s mode:
Manual laying using the joystick - will override laying and firing limitations.

M23 looted a lot of weapons when they pulled out of the city of Goma. Some ammunition stocks were carried back to Goma this week from captured positions. But after the Rooivalks proved their philosophy of "not to be seen,and able to detect and fire first",the M23 simply realised that they were indeed facing with the "flying devil" and surrender was their only option.

M23 rebels have no single radar ! thats why they did not see the Rooivalk helicopter coming.
