Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust:
Thiza: THE COST OF NIGERIAN PEACE KEEPING OPERATIONS

In London, Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo told the BBC his country was ready to send peacekeepers to Liberia, but that Nigeria lacked the means to finance a peacekeeping operation alone. "It is our problem, but it is not our problem alone," he said. "It is in fact Africa's problem and it is a world problem...(the troops) are not there because we haven't got the capacity to do all that is necessary, and we made that clear." Obasanjo said twelve years of peacekeeping efforts in Liberia and Sierra Leone had cost his country $12 billion and more than 1,000 Nigerian lives. A peacekeeping force in Liberia is expected to cost over $100 million, and the Obasanjo said that so far no country had stepped forward with the necessary funds. "What we are saying is give us adequate material and logistic support and we will do the job," he said. "We have two battalions of over 1,500 ready to go in. We cannot do that alone."
you posted many long stories about Nigeria with no single web link source to prove any truth in them. Are you mentally s.ick ?

no wonder people call you 'Thiza copy and paste ', you are brain D.ead !

Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust:
Thiza: South African troops should feel good about their performance which was no disgrace at all....atleast they gave a good account of themselves than be disarmed.

Tragedy has affected all of the best militaries of the world but however is not how many times one falls but how many times you stand up and be counted.

United States suffered humiliating defeat in Vietnam
Soviet Union (Russian) experianced the same fate in Afghanistan.
Guatemala Special Forces suffered 12 against LRA IN DR Congo.
Indian forces disarmed and held hostage by rebels in Sierra Leone.
Nigerian forces humiliated in Darfur.
British Commandos captured by rebels in Sierra Leone.
19 US Rangers killed in Mogadishu.
More than 500 Russians special forces killed by Chenchen rebels in Grozny.

Countless countries have experianced such set backs and SANDF IS NOT THE FIRST AND NOT THE LAST.....BUT SHOULD BE PROUD TO FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT WHICH NIGERIANS ENVY

Nigeria does not envy fake giants that fight like dwarfs !

andrewza: Some of the finest display of milltay skill has come from defeats or great losses. Delive wood in WW1 france was such a battel where under 10% of the SA forces suvervid but still held there ground. There was even a last radio messeg from one company that basicaly siad.(We out of ammo enemy preparing for a attack, will hold to the last.)

The SA forcese in CAR proofed that SA forces will not go down with out a fight.

...but they will go down disgraced and defeated as usual.

DictatorZAR: Stop talking nonsense till to date no one has shown proof of that. SA soldiers are deployed all over the continent and even went into Burundi without a UN or AU mandate and look at where that country is today we trained there soldiers and today Burundi has deployed there soldiers to Somalia under a AU mandate.

By the way your soldiers have not even covered themselves in glory and has been accused of numerous rap*e and indiscriminate killings from Sierra Leone to even Liberia. Military deployments the world over has a agenda no one can dispute that fact.
Quote source of all these your claims or else you become a first class F00L until kingdom come !

andrewza: Look up the k car and g car model aleote 3. Those where armend versions. At no point where they attack helcopters. Even the lynxe AT version is not called a attach helicopter.

The hind has been called a assult helicopter but has it is the only of it's class it is grouped under attack helicopters.

Are you sure you work for the deffense industry.
You speak more Afrikaans than English and I cannot help you to solve that problem, it affects how you interpret complex English, because you are educated in your own language Dutch or Afrikaans

I still believe your low rank and few years in military is a weakness on your part. So you argued about meaning of frigate and corvette for a long time even after I posted almost a whole page dictionary definition to adjust your thinking, but I discovered that only God can help you to improve and build up right thinking methods.

Continue to entertain yourself in your one man show.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 6:13pm On Apr 09, 2013
andrewza: Putting weapons on transport helicopter dose not make it a attack helicopter. You can(and has been done) mount weapons on a orxy. Are they now attack helicopters, how about the lynx or our A109s witch are the same helicopter has those in nigeria.

I have yet to see a nigerian A109 or Mi17 with AGMs, yes they can carry, but i don't think they do.

And the force we had in CAR was not even a spec of what we have and they still killed around 500 enemy rebels. So nigeria dose not fear me.

You seem to not under stand weapons and military systems at all. You sure you work in the field.
I work in defense industry and I know what I know for sure you CANNOT shake my confidence. I dey kampe.

Its you I should ask if you are a combat soldier in south African navy or you are there as a cook/chef.

You always have a BIG PROBLEM understanding multi-role weapons. do I have to teach you like a school boy? I quoted beegeagle source and he has reputation for knowledge of inside details of Nigerian military equipments.

Beegeagle says Nigeria has 7 of its 21 Augusta AW 109 as attack version. So because you don't want to believe beegeagle report does that remove the weapons from Nigerian armoury ?

For your info, even Mi-24 Hind helicopter gunships are half transport multi-role weapon, so is your brain able to understand Nigerian Terminator and Augusta weapons capability now ? Or you need further education ?

Your south African navy rank must be very low like a sergeant or coporal, seaman or rating equivalent.

DictatorZAR: Does SA kill its each who visits another state/province because of religious and tribal reasons including grazing of cattle(which fulani herdsman are notorious hackers of innocent villagers) within SA no.

So come with another claim please
Stop ranting mister, I am coming back to take all you south Africans down on an issue in your country no one seems to have posted. I am at work darling morning, just wait till I close tonight.

Also that Badger IFV weapon is still on order and under testing according to army recognition website and @Andrewza agreed with me many pages back when I proved him wrong. Any new source ? Not likely, prove it man !

andrewza: Since when are transport helicopters attack helicopters. Please. Don't think we are are fools.

maybe your head is yet to recover from the Seleka CAR rebels shocking blow.

You are the one making a F00L of yourself because there are many weblink sources I posted above including Beegeagle. In past pages I also posted a whole full page details of Sweden arms log confirming they are armed transport helicopters with anti-tank missiles and cannons.

You display a lot of ignorance nowadays as a military man, I am a civilian, should I be teaching you about helicopter gunships ? Or you are blind and cannot read the details in those web links sources ?

Your problem is that you choose to lie and deny the truth because I just proved Nigeria has 55 helicopter gunships outnumbering south African 11 units tiny force.

Many people are reading your posts and my own, and if you continue like this the people who respected you before will change their minds about you.

Nigeria will roast south Africa like chicken barbecue. What your army suffered in the hands of Selena rebels in CAR is still a tiny bit of what Nigerian army will do to you in real war, not on internet.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 2:00pm On Apr 09, 2013
andrewza: The rooikat is not old. And niether are slow or under armourd or armerd.

You got BTR3-U but not the guardian version. UAE is the only operiotor of that version. The most comon BTR3-U in nigeria has no AGMs. Stope thinking we are fools. And you only have 47 BTR3-U of them 30 are IFV the rest are recon, commond and other speclised versions. So please. Stop being foolish.
Stop telling lies here, quote your source of details about Nigerian BTR-U anti tank vehicle and prove your point, I have posted my source many pages back and its Sweden arms log, what is your own source ? Post it for us to see and you stop making a F00L of yourself, you are a grown up adult I guess.

Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust:
DictatorZAR: Show me the 55 attack helo and the links please and not the usual ranting claims.

Few hours of battle when and where you don't even have the air firepower to take on an Umkhonto IR SAM as we speak.

While you have the Cobra VBL's we have the Ingwe missile systems to counter any mobile threat.

While have the BTR-U SANDF has the
-Badger with variants fitted with Ingwe anti tank systems.
-Ratel 90mm with a variant fitted with Ingwe as sown in picture below
-RG-35 APV with variants fitted with multirole anti-tank and land systems.
-Rooikat 105mm which is 10times more mobile then any heavy T72 MBT's and enough fire power to take them out.

It seems your miss calculated naïve patriotic rhetoric has again lack substance.
the Badger anti-tank vehicle is NOT yet in service with south african army, its a new project being tested.

south african rooikat and ratel are too slow and too old to challenge 300 nigerian army multi-role cobra and VBL when they are fitted in their anti-tank mode, as well as the modern BTR-U guardian anti-tank missile vehicles, then our 150 scorpions have new upgraded guns and technology, not counting nigerian T-72 upgraded and the british vickers tanks in their hundreds.

you cannot stand before nigerian army and survive, even seleka rebels used south african army special forces for shooting practice in CAR !
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust:
DictatorZAR: Why are you Nigerians continuesly questioning SA's citizenry on the bases of color. If we south africans have accepted our diversity no foreigner who don't even live and work in his own country has the right to question it. Why don't you Nigerians question Latino's, A Amreicans, Jews and others who migrated to US as foreigners, because the US is the worlds biggest immigrated nation.

Stop trying to dictate to us who is South African because that's for us to decide not Nigerians.
if there were 1.5 million white British citizens of nigeria resident for the past 100 years in nigeria till today, do you think south africa will have the technological advantage it has over nigeria ?

the white men from europe built south african nation for their pleasure, they never planned to go back to europe, so they built south africa with massive technology transfer from europe. no other african country has that privildge from the white man.

andrewza: Nigeria I think nigeria 2nd or 1st with arillry in terms of numbers.

Nigeria has arround 300(T72/chieftan) or so modernish MBT tanks and another 100 or older MBT(t55) puting them pretty high. SA has about 275 MBT though the Rooikat76 can take out most tanks in Africa with a frontal shot and at a longer ranger.

Nigeria does not have enough APC and IFV for there size and far to few helicopters.
Nigeria has 55 helicopter gunships all with anti-tank weapons more than enough to destroy all south African army Olifant tanks in 10 minutes.

Nigeria has 5 times more helicopter gunships than south Africa, we outnumber you 55 against 11.

Only Egypt has more helicopter gunships than Nigeria in the whole of Africa.

Also, Nigria has upgraded all her T-72 main battle tanks and now more deadly.

Also nigerian army has 40 BTR-U Guardian ultra-modern fighting vehicles with more than enough anti-tank missiles to destroy south African armoured tanks.

Nigerian army 300 cobra and VBL armoured vehicles also have hardware capability for extra mission as tank killers to wipe out all the armoured vehicles in the whole of south Africa with missiles in few hours of battle.

I think you should stick to your SANDF photo parade which I have been enjoying, this attempt to do an arm-chair strategic analyst of Nigerian local war on terror is discrediting your efforts. nigerian army stealth gun boats

nigerian army inaugurates Eight units of brand new STEALTH 12metre K38 Combat Catamarans(TP Marine) armed with 12.7mm heavy machine guns. Invisible to enemy radar and extremely hard to detect by enemy forces.

weblink source : http://beegeagle./tag/nigerian-army-amphibious-forces/

X38 COMBAT & PATROL CAT

The Combat Cat is a revolutionary stepped-hull high-speed power catamaran design, configured for military, patrol or SAR use. It offers superior sea-keeping, efficiency, speed and safety in all operating conditions.

The Combat Cat is designed to offer multiple mission profile capabilities with speeds of up to 40 knots per hour, using twin outboards. It is ideally suited for rapid response, amphibious deployment of commandos or regular patrol work.

Offering significantly less cost and risk than other high-value patrol or combat assets it can provide covert striking power against critical targets, as well as protecting inshore and offshore resources and assets.

It can be equipped with enhanced features for special warfare operations, or used for reconnaissance, surveillance, law enforcement, counter-piracy, medical evacuation and rescue operations.

This cutting-edge exclusive design incorporates stealth characteristics to minimise radar detection in hostile operating conditions. The Combat boat will have a crew of 4 and is capable of carrying an additional 10-12 fully equipped troops.

The foredeck area has a sunken gun-well, suited for installation of a forward/side facing main gun-point, for M240 7.62 calibre, M-60, 7.62mm, 12.7 mm or 40mm grenade launchers.

Two large deck hatches and a folding ladder ensure fast and direct access forward, for amphibious assaults and beach landings. The cabin accommodates a Captain/Navigator, helmsman, engineer and gunner, while troops are accommodated in restrained transport seats in the hulls. The stern area of the boat has space for 2 side / rear facing light machine guns and an aft deck in the centre suitable for boarding, or for diving and recovery operations.
