You know nothing about the combat academy, Nigeria has no such facility. That is where army and air force do simulatory war exercises where Air force fire live rockets.
I have seen combat academy in American Mojave desert far better than what you have in South Africa.

No combat academy allows tanks to fire on tanks and artillery to fire on artillery or jets to fire on jets.

You know nothing about it, what they do is MILES ON MILES infantry training with laser/alarms/man-marker fake bullets/etc and the aim is to show individual soldiers the chances that they get hit and die in close-in hand to hand man to man combat.

Your SANDF is just using rifles to mark each other's uniforms to show who was hit, fools are shooting rifle at fools, cowards on cowards, your battle school infantry men still fear Sudan boys in Toyota.

SAAF jets and helicopters have been shown in photos dropping bombs on empty space, sand and stones, hitting nothing ! Why don't your aircraft simulate a real battle and drop ammunition on your army who can fire back with anti-aircraft weapons like Boko Haram fires on Nigerian jets and helicopters in real life combat?

Nigeria does real live combat with air force and army weapons killing real enemies, not pretending in a battle school where the trainees know that the enemy is fake and nobody will die from fake bullets, your combat academy products are the same men in Sudan that realized that Sudanese boys can kill with Ak-47, and the useless battle school training did not give SANDF troops the courage to fight, they agreed to surrender if Sudan boys fire rifles first....Southies train cowards who remain cowards after all the fake training like theater arts on drama stage grin grin

ALL COUNTRIES IN AFRICA CAN BE DOING MILITARY EXERCISES BUT THEY ALL DO NOT HAVE A STABLE COMBAT TRAINING ACADEMY.

SA ARMY COMBAT CENTER IS THE ONLY WAR INSTITUTION ON THE CONTINENT AND THERE ARE ONLY TEN OF SUCH INSTITUTION IN THE WORLD.

http://www.actc.army.mil.za/

I QUOTE: The SA Army Combat Training Centre is unique in the sense that it is one of ten similar institutions in the world that provide exclusive and permanent facilities for landward warfare training. Only two of these institutions are located in the Southern hemisphere, of which the SA Army Combat Training Centre is the largest, 158 000 hectares in comparison to other training facilities in the Southern hemisphere. Other similar institutions are situated in the Mojave Desert in the United States of America, the Negev Desert in Israel, as well as Canada, France, India, Australia and Pakistan.

SOUTH AFRICA IS VERY FORTUNATE INDEED.
Your South African battle schoo / combat training Academy is only for simulating infantry soldiers one on one rifle firing, tanks don't fire there, artillery don't fire there or you shell yourselves? Even your air force has no training missiles, so what's the big deal? Nothing cheesycheesy

Nope, Egypt alone....and the numbers dwarfs anything South Africa has to offer grin grin

http://www.israeldefense.co.il/en/content/egypt-badr-2014-military-exercise

"Dr. Shaul Shay reviews the "Badr 2014" exercise, the largest Egyptian military maneuver since 1996, focused on a defensive strategy to counter hostile attacks, implement force mobilization procedures, confront emergency situations, make quick decisions, achieve air superiority and carry out air attacks through all the stages of the maneuver.

The exercise included units from the Mechanized Infantry, Armored Divisions, Artillery, and Rapid Deployment Forces.

The Commander In Chief and Minister of Defense and Military Production General Sedki Sobhi and Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lt. General Mahmoud Hegazy, attended on October 27,2014, a simulation of a Suez Canal crossing. The simulated crossing was executed by the Third Army. Military engineers connected the western and eastern banks of the canal via movable bridges, allowing vehicles and tanks to cross the Suez Canal. Army units used APCs and boats aided by air forces units.

In another phase of the exercise, Third Field Army's mechanical infantry and armored units carried out a landing operation to counter a stimulated attack by hostile air landing troops and regain control over an important mountainous strait in South Sinai.

The exercises included mine sweeping, combating piracy on the high seas, securing commercial shipping, intercepting suspicious vessels, tracking smugglers and, perhaps the most difficult, a simulated exercise that involved detecting and destroying enemy submarines. A helicopter took off from a frigate to locate the submarine with sonar devices. The enemy boat was then destroyed with torpedoes fired from both the helicopter and a destroyer. A surface to surface missile battle was staged to test the accuracy of missiles. Submarines also launched torpedoes and depth/ surface missiles at an enemy naval unit.

The drill involved more than 250 combat jet fighters and helicopters as they carried out more than 60 air sorties in cooperation with units of paratroopers, Egyptian commandos and the Central Military Region regiments."

South Africa will NEVER achieve the above in 100 years, your d_ick is very small grin grin

Sounds like an excellent job for NA. Those interpreting the video to mean defeat, are actually dumbos and dundees, the man never said he was with an army group that was defeated, nothing like that in the 10 minute video conversation.

1. M982 Excalibur

2. http://www.military-today.com/apc/badger.htm

The Finnish Patria AMV is one of the most protected APCs that are currently available. Also it offers great protection against landmines. front arc withstands hits from 30-mm armor-piercing rounds. Interior is fitted with spall liners. Two uparmored Polish Army vehicles were hit in Afghanistan by RPG-7 rockets, however armor was not penetrated and vehicles managed to return to base. Vehicle also has a top-class mine protection. It has integral protection in its belly, rather than using a V-hull, as with most mine-protected vehicles. It withstands blasts equivalent to up to 10 kg of TNT under any wheel or anywhere under the hull. Protection of the Badger is likely to be similar.
1. Excalibur shell ? European product, I thought you were advertising South African products, now you mix G-6 with a Swedish made shell, now you are promoting Sweden. Desperado.

2. Patria IFV ? Another European product, what happened to your made in South Africa 'best in town campaign?

Patria is amphibious and loaded with European stuff built to Finland's specifications, but Badger is NOT amphibious, and it's loaded with South African stuff, and different armour too.

They are not similar, so stop posting European made equipment to claim South African product capabilities that are very different, we are not tools here okay?

the so called military analyst who comes here without doing research and acts like he knows something.

Both the BMP and Badger has 30mm front arc protection.

The BMP can only withstand 14,5mm on the sides and rear. The hull is made of aluminum alloy and not composite material like you claimed.

Now show me what Nigeria has or will have in the next 2years that is better then the Badger.
Nigeria actually got a better IFV before South Africa, we have been cruising around in modern BTR-3 since around year 2010 before we added BTR-4 in 2014 and that is one of the best IFV in the world today.

SANDF Badger is inferior to Russia's upgraded BMP-3M, so forget about the older BMP version, it has been upgraded fantastically, it will defeat all the weapons on Badger and use 100mm cannon to waste DENELs operated product.

"The BMP-3M is equipped with auxiliary armour shields to offer protection from 12.7mm armour piercing bullets. Add-on explosive reactive armour (ERA) kit is fitted to protect the vehicle from anti-tank hollow charge projectiles.

The vehicle is also fitted with Arena-E defensive aid suites to automatically detect and destruct guided and unguided anti-tank missiles and anti-tank grenades.

The Shtora-1 protection system against high-precision weapons installed on the vehicle provides protection from antitank guided missiles with laser illuminator, artillery armaments with laser range finder-based fire control system and anti-tank guided missiles using semi-automatic guidance system."

Keep embarrassing and exposing yourself. I couldn't give one single flying f*ck. You are a military researcher as you claim.
You would know how missile algorithms work. You would know that dimensions, centres of gravity, aerodynamic models, seeker capabilities etc are all linked in a complicated loop of algorithms. You cannot just take a flash drive, and transfer data from one missile to complete another. If you are going to steal missile technology, steal it before you develop your own so that you have a base to start from. You would know that.
The others on this thread can entertain you if they want. I'm personally done with your non.sense. Have better things to waste my time on. Chow

P.S which round does the PLZ use to fire 100km?

2.Badger is faster has better range, better mine protection , has equal armour to the BMP and WE DONT NEED AMPHIBIOUS vehicles! Also The Badger doesn't come with just 1 turret, there are many variants we can choose from other than the 30mm canon!
There is no Badger variant with bigger than 30mm gun. When we prove your weaknesses, you Southies say can go add a new thing to your product, who told you Russia too cannot add better things to it's own product? Only you can adjust things? Mumu.

"The flight tests were a successful first in the series to prove the specifications and simulation models, which bodes well for the missile`s eventual integration on the South African Air Force`s Gripen fighter jets, the Brazilian Air Force`s F5M aircraft, as well as the latter`s possible FX programme for a future frontline fighter," said Denel Dynamics CEO Jan Wessels.

The tests evaluated the missile`s manoeuvrability and high G-force characteristics as well as the ability of the high off-boresight seeker (+/-90 degrees off-boresight) head to track targets.

Designed as an agile missile (hence the designation "A" in the name), the A-Darter`s key technologies had been established by 2006. Full-scale development has been on going since 2007.
