Abok1: I can't help but be amused at some comments by the pro GEJ guys in this thread. It is not out of place for Fashola to take pictures with the Microsoft executives because he is a Diplomat and protocols demands that he shows courtesy by taking pictures. Microsoft is a major player in the technological sphere, and as part of their corporate social responsibilities, they need to give back to the less privileged, which in this case Africa easily comes to mind. By taking pictures is a form of documentary evidence for the archives of the corporation. I'm quite taken aback by the pessimistic tendencies of some pro GEJ pundits who would rather celebrate the bletcherous policies of the aeoliststs in power than commend the efforts of a governor that has the goodwill of the people behind him. They can not help it, thy have to display their lousy complex, ignorance and insecurities especially since they are not uses to progressive and productive governance, they've been so basterdized with corruption, ignorance, incompetence and lousy governance. |
Boss13: The governor cannot do business with microsoft except personal business. Microsoft already have a presence in Nigeria.Only flat heads on NL. This is why your village isi ewu governors limit you people to village boreholes and roundabout....lmao |
. |
Ikengawo: I'm suspicious of anyone that is paid to do a job and takes pictures of themselves doing it everyday. Does Fashola think he's a volunteer or Samaritan? Are Nigerians so disillusioned that we have began celebrating governors for taking pictures of themselves governing? How many classroom teachers take pictures of themselves grading tests and how silly would this be? Ikengawo: www.nairaland.com/attachments/1219801_Ansuth5_jpgb08fcfd5462e9204ecf4a4b23864d24e^^^^^ So na picture be your own problem? You flat heads are the most bitter, angry, petty and frivolous people on the surface of the earth.. This falling roof death trap and eye sore labeled emergency room is what you posted on NL as development in your village... This is the best state hospital in your village, this is what your isi ewu governor gave you losers..Obviously, you and the rest of your village are in deep shitttt. |
jazzydee: [s]@ agbameta If your hero gov. was not stealing N140million per MW of electricity and did not pocket 42% of all contract sums then maybe there would have been enough money to build a skill acquisition centre in the State for a fool like to go learn a meaningful skill that will put food on your table besides picture and lagos news postings on nairaland forum.Your worthless Abuja masters can not guarantee our institutions and streets uninterrupted power supply, but Fashola in Lagos state can guarantee that. Fashola promised to light up our streets and he's doing just that, Fashola promised to give our hospitals, schools and other government institutions uninterrupted power supply and his doing just that. Your Oponuchukwu Oga made so many promises to give us uninterrupted power supply, but na lies, beans and cruel deceptions. Things like commissioning and who is commissioning this and that only troubles shallow and mentally inadequate people like you because you are not used to competency and service delivery and your Jonathan oponuchukwu remains incompetent and lazy since his best achievement and vision so far is his stolen cassava bread absurdity even with all the oil money at his disposal. Fashola is doing what your lazy, incompetent and braintard masters are grossly incapable of doing and he's doing it daily with ease and you lowly servant is here farting in your own mouth with your usual and predictable loser grumblings... God bless Fashola God bless the Great state of Lagos God bless our Great SW Region Forward ever and backward never |
googlepikin: and what can Microsoft do for lagos state. na today we dey see signing of paper? RUBBISH googlepikin: Even fashola and FFK are so jealous of igbos, cos dey drive around Ikoyi V.I Lekki and they know igbos have dominated almost 70% of the whole area there. You don't know because you are a village Flat Head and it's way way above you and your village borehole and isi ewu governors.. |
jazzydee: [s] theshadyexpress: Jonathan on point.....keep making life hard for the haterz and kill em off in 2015.You villagers and GEJ dullards are basically what you all are, pure dullards and reterdeens, your existence is worthless and rretarded. |

theshadyexpress: and your entire reasoning faculty is misleading....you scoundrel theshadyexpress: Jonathan on point.....keep making life hard for the haterz and kill em off in 2015.You villagers and GEJ dullards are basically what you all are, pure dullards and reterdeens, your existence is worthless and rretarded. |
jazzydee: Why are the apc sycophants defending the indefensible? Who in his right mind will support the looting of 3.2 billion naira in the name of supplying a 10MW of electricity generator to a state, bearing in mind that that same generator will still incur other cost such as gas bills, maintenance cost and administrative cost for effective running, hence adding to the already over inflated cost per unit MW.You clowns sure know how to overstate your importance and relevance. I just wonder why you villagers don't spend your worthless time on your villages and their useless do nothing isi ewu and borehole governors and instead always killing yourselves over anything Lagos state. Unfortunately for you jokers, Lagos and Lagosians don't give a shittt about you losers barking like dogs on the internet. How sad and pathetic can you losers be for real... |
hercules07: The title is actually misleading, 3.2b divided by 10.34 gives 308m per megawattEven the OP's life and existence is misleading.. |
Segeggs: Cant still believe they took that whooping for an apology.Delusions and cluelessness is not foreign to them of course.. |
phantom: the sensible question to ask BEFORE you compare is what type of power plant did lagos build?gas fired? Diesel fired? Did they have to buy land for the project? What type is the federal gov building? These things impact on cost.@op ...we can all key in to a particular party's ideology without necessarily losing our common sense.Didn't know you are capable of formulating sane and rational thoughts. Kudos to you this one time... |
awodman: You so much pride in this your intelligence..please who told you..you are intelligent? A reasonable and well-educated person, perhaps making informed decisions daily in life, will know only a detailed cost breakdown can prove anything either way since the engineering + or - cost limit actually validates what Oando spentHe didn't say he was even though he sounds very more intelligence than you and your type. You people think with your Anus and probably walk on your brains.. |
Standing5: I don't know if the FG e-dawgs around are ready to admit there is something called 'economy of scale'? Well, in the article presented by Mr. OP, he kept realing out the generating capacity of the FG built plants in multiples of 125 MW. I beleive these capacity are the size of each generating units and it will foolish to start comparing a 12MW to a 125MW unit in terms of cost. There are certain things that must be common to both plant irrespective of size. Also to note is the 'power factor' (effeciency co-efficient in layman's language) of the plants in question, the kind of fuel consumed, cost of maintenance, and many other technical factors that may affect cost. The dullards can not because this is way way above their Aso Rock installed capacity.. |
theoctopus: [s]If you had any sense, you will not compare the FG job of providing power across thousands of kilometers to LASG powering street lights from Alausa to VI. Such and idiotic comparison. Please stick to your giant generator sets and leave the business of serious power generation to serious people. I am enjoying tremendous power supply so your rant is meaningless.[/s]STFU you senseless joker. How did the FG entered the discussion? Because you clowns finds it hide to curb your dumbness and must thrown in the FG every time you see or hear Fashola. Did your dumbasss not jump in here ranting about the FG and even the clown you quoted who jumped from the discussion to ranting about his silly apples and oranges FG MW and cost comparisons with Lagos? Foolish clowns going on and on about $billions spent on some nonsense power plants . Of what use is your power fraud that Nigerians can't see or feel. Our hospitals and public institutions and infrastructures can see and feel our 10MW generator so what's your damn ignorant point? lol @ I'm enjoying tremendous power supply. Dumb illiterate, you must live on MARS.... |
theoctopus: @op, the FG did not spend 260 million per mega watt. They spent far less than that. Please do your calculation again. The FG's $8 billion is for both generation, thousands of kilometers of transmission lines, distribution and installation of a lot of sub stations and even transformers all over the country. Please dont even compare it to the fraud going on in Lagos. Is it not even a shame that with all the rubbish your jokers keep spewing about your MW and billions, no household, street, bridge, hospitals, public buildings is guaranteed power supply and even not uninterrupted power supply. On the other hand, the 3 power plants in Lagos even at 10 x over budget guarantees our public buildings and infrastructures 24/7 power supply, it means our hospitals and operating rooms are not functioning in darkness or with the torchlight. Your rubbish $8 billion MW nonsense can not give our hospitals or any of our infrastructures uninterrupted power supply so STFU abeg.. Sadly for you, your MWs and billions of dollars is of no use to the average Nigeria, it's the same waste and fraud we've been experiencing since independence. We generated more more in 2007 than what's available today so kindly shove your billion dollar. Useless villagers..smh |
jazzydee: So the question is how much did fashola/tinubu pocket per MW of power generated?Look at this clueless olodo. So, you still don't know how much was pocketed per MW, but you've showed us your idiotic numbers and cost comparisons per MW you called facts? Shouldn't your silly and irrelevant facts give you the exact pocketed amount based on your goofy apples and oranges rubbish? Or you just don't trust your own stupidity and ignorance.. Sometimes I worry about you people's mental stability.. |
jazzydee: because it does not agree with your APC propaganda hence it should be trashed? did fashola not spend 3.2Bnaira on 10MW of electricity and is that not equivalent to 400million per MW?Comparing apples with oranges = Facts? Only in dullard land, no wonder you are a dullard GEJ supporter... I home you are not the sharpest knife in your village because if so, your village don kputa be that... |

Originalsly: Nonsense. Name me another country where a contractor would be allowed to shut down an expressway to do anything....even to resurface the expressway. Now this one is shutting it down to install beams? Shutting down freeways for construction projects is normal like drinking water, but obviously not to many village illiterates on NL. |
abes: Lets assume you are 40 years old now, do you now eat 40 X the quantity of food u ate when you were 1 year old?lmao.. The OP is obviously another sad and pathetic WAEC reject. |
jazzydee: ^^^here you wanted proof. the FG spent $8bn for 4774MW of electricty at its 10power plant.I asked you for documented data and cost break down regarding similar projects like what they have in Lagos state with, not some irrelevant and bogus rubbish you keep spewing? Common sense dictates that when you question such projects and issues, you base your questions and concerns on similar projects and verifiable cost data to prove your point. Question::: Can your $8 billion rubbish guarantee our hospitals, streets, bridges, water works and public buildings in Lagos state uninterrupted power supply like the power plants in Lagos state today? You are indeed very very slow in the head.. I don't know why you people always rush in to prop up your dullard and incompetent president every time you hear Fashola's name or his achievements. Your dullard president was a governor just like Fashola and with all his oil and derivation money, he didn't build one single classroom or 1MW power plant.. Is it not even a shame to be comparing your president with an ordinary state governor? |
jazzydee: Aso Rock disclosed at the weekend that its power intervention contracts to the National Integrated Power Projects (NIPP) contractors were worth $8 billion.I was expecting you to show us what similar projects like the one they have in Lagos state cost like I asked, not this silly and pointless rubbish that can not provide any Nigerian or institution in Nigeria uninterrupted power supply. What you need to let sink into your head is:: Today, only Lagos state government can guaranteed uninterrupted power supply to hospitals, bridges, government buildings and so on. Re post that rubbish when GEJ reach that level. You are Aso Rock related of course hence your ignorant and pointless rant.. |
jazzydee: Okay heres fact for you the contract sum for the 10MW of electricity @ 400million per MW is over inflated.Still your ignorant opinion till you are able to show us what similar projects cost in similar environment including cost breakdown from feasibility studies, to material cos, manpower, land acquisitions and whatever contingencies that goes into such projects.. Please keep your layman rant to yourself.. |
jazzydee: Will 10MW of electricity guarantee power to all the places you have listed above? i would like to here you defend 400 million naira per I MW of power! This is corruption at its best. and stop defending mediocrity.1. 10MW Island project is providing uninterrupted powers supply to many 2 major hospitals in Lagos island, courts, state house and lighting more than 20 streetlights including carter bridge. 2. The 12MW Akute power plant is providing uninterrupted power supply to 2 major water works 3. This new 10MW is powering all government facilities in Alahusa and many industries in the are. Mediocrity is you making reckless statements without offering one documented fact to back up your ignorance because you are yet to show us what was spent on similar projects in the same environment. You can not not even show us what date, cost estimates for materials, manpower, land acquisitions and other contingencies that goes into such projects, all you have is your bogus and ignorant word of mouth rubbish. |
jazzydee: Celebration of mediocrity SMHMediocrity is Nigeria producing less electricity that it produced nearly a decade ago and still can not guarantee any hospital or public institution uninterrupted power supply. 1. Can your federal government guarantee our hospitals in Lagos uninterrupted power supply? 2. Can your federal government guarantee our streets in Lagos uninterrupted power supply? 3. Can your federal government guarantee our water works in Lagos uninterrupted power supply? 4. Can your federal government guarantee guarantee our bridges and public institutions in Lagos uninterrupted power supply? 5. Can any other government in Nigeria guarantee anybody or entity in their states uninterrupted power supply? Of course they can not, only Lagos state government can and this is the idea behind these power plants, they are designed to do what your federal government or any government in Nigeria can not do? Even other states with all their 400MW can not guarantee anybody or any of their institutions uninterrupted power supply because every MW they generate goes into the National grid which is pretty much useless. Fashola devised a creative method to go around federal obstacles to provide and guarantee uninterrupted electricity for our our critical infrastructures. We have almost 50MW and we keep every single MW with miles of underground cable to transmit and distribute far far away from your obsolete National transmission grid, something no other state in Nigeria can do. This is not about the amount of MW generated, it's the targeted purpose they serve on behalf of the people. Lagos state built the first IPP in Nigeria @ 271 MW which was a mistake since we didn't get to keep in Lagos state because the FG feeds everything into the useless National grid, it was a terrible mistake and lesson to learn, but we devised a creative approach to get around your mediocre federal government and their BS. Shebi, a little over 1 year ago it was just 10MW Island project, but today it's almost 50MW and another 114 is in the pipeline so who says we can not reach 1000 or more in no time? The joke is on you, def not on Lagos state. Eko o no baje o.. |
victorv12: How can a reasonable government spent 3.2 billion Naira on a 10.34 megawatts of dual fired power plant! We're too damn corrupt and greedy in this country. I think we need to start stoning these our leaders anywhere we see them.Funny enough, you are the irresponsible party for making dumb, ignorant and silly assumptions and conclusions regarding what you know nothing about. Do you have the cost testaments from feasibilties studies, to materials and manpower, to land acquisitions and payments and other constituencies, show us what the same power plant and specification cost in similar environment including cost of land and other related costs, it's irresponsible and reckless to automatically reach whatever ignorant conclusions rubbish you are peddling. The 12.45MW Akute Independent Power Project (IPP) that powers Iju And Adiyan Waterworks cost N4 billion The 10MW Island Power Project in Lagos Island cos N2.5 billion So, what's so special and out of place about this power plant costing N3 Billion? And for your ignorant info, Lagos state doesn't generate any 30billion a month. |
The useless and incompetent aviation minister said the crashe was an act of God so it's only right for these other useless and incompetent house of assembly to believe her and pray to God. Poor Nigerians are the poor victims of this shameful and disgrace we call leadership in Nigeria. |
She should have been sacked a long time ago, but just like her mediocre and incompetent self, her boss is equally mediocre and incompetent to do the right thing. Unfortunately for Nigerians, they have to keep falling off the sky and dying needlessly for now. |
caesaraba: Oga, they have announced that they are closing the road in order to carry out some construction work, you are here crying blue murder. Go pass the road na.God bless you. I posted his previous posts on NL and his political affiliation with GEJ just to show not only how dumb and ignorant they think, but also what's driving their absurd and idiotic rants. |
gregg2: Leave him alone! Common pedestrian bridge and LASG is doing gra gra as if they are doing a bridge across river Niger. gregg2: No shaking. |
