We are selling our future for today.

Free oil money has made us lazy. I pity the SS region in 60 years to come when most of the reserves have been depleted.

I pity other regions too because then, all eyes will be on their resources as it has been on the niger delta and there is nothing they can do.

It is time for the federal and state government to take out time and restrategize. We need to develop our manufacturing sector, invest in technology and industrialization.

We should come up with a program which aims at phasing out foreign imports....one product at a time. Items that can be manufactured locally. We should open up information. For e.g A list of the most imported items should be readily available online so as to soak investors interest.

They will come a time when we look back at where we are, and we have achieved nothing. We will have nothing to hand over to our children.


The oil money will be shared. The government officials and politicians will get the bulk of it. Their kins will squander it in foreign lands. The crumbs will get to you and you get lazy and unproductive. At the end we all lose. It is time to wake up.

The governor's analogy makes sense, those above me critiquing him should go retake Econs in WAEC. Coincidence? I don't think so. I agree Goodluck could have done a lot better, but President "Do It All" claimed to know and do all during his campaign and is currently stuck in a limbo with no plan or guide of how to redeem the current concerns in the country. People wanted Goodluck out and they got their wish, why has it become so difficult to move on with the choice u guys made consciously, focus on the person u believed could turn things around and u voted into power? Please o there's a very bad spot close to Okwe General hospital before the toll gate as you are heading to Onitsha from Benin. Its actually amazing how commuters most of them long-distance travellers, are held up in the gridlock for hours on end just because of a spot which will take just a few hours to fix. Is the state waiting for the federal govt? Please lets save our country from unnecesary economic sabotage ...and imagine such a situation in front of a General Hospital!
