lexyman: that team can play without Moses , i know Icon4s will not like this . *smiles* but Moses too is very important and our most lethal attacker. With him and Mikel we are assured of chances. Two things de sweet my belle, Nacho(our undisputable finisher) is fit and back inform, Mikel is available. On the other hand two things de turn my belle. Ndidi's injury and Moses FA cup game(How I wish Conte will start Zappacosta and rest Moses) |

lexyman: comparing the present team to that team , do you think there is a replacement for every player in the first eleven , in case of unforeseen circumstance ?
to me i am still looking for Mikel replacement , even Leon Balogun's replacement is not there It's Mikel and Mikel alone. I would have added Moses. But Tactics can do the job. |

optimist25: Honestly the list was very biased.... What are names like uchebo(flavour)....Gabriel Reuben.... Nwofor uche...doing on this list. . .only babatunde Micheal brought some spark to the team as a new player..... Kudos should be given to gernot rohr for not allowing the NFF to dictate for him! two days ago, I said it was LUCK that took Keshi's team that far. That team lacked quality and depth. Our first game against Iran is still one of the most boring game have ever watch. Even an NPFL match is not as boring as that. |

optimist25: Quick flash back at the final 23 man list to the last World Cup in Brazil.
Full Squad Goalkeepers: Vincent Enyeama, Austin Ejide, Chigozie Agbim
Defenders: Joseph Yobo, Elderson Echiejile, Juwon Oshaniwa, Godfrey Oboabona, Azubuike Egwuekwe, Kenneth Omeruo, Efe Ambrose, Kunle Odunlami
Midfielders: John Mikel Obi, Ogenyi Onazi, Ramon Azeez, Michael Uchebo, Reuben Gabriel
Strikers: Osaze Odemwingie, Ahmed Musa, Shola Ameobi, Emmanuel Emenike, Babatunde Michael, Victor Moses, Uche Nwofor hmmm... See list. I bet you, only 10players from this list can break into the present team. Bottom line: 2018 squad list edges 2014 own. Rohr has given us something to savour and hopefully the present team will do the nation proud. |

We for kii ourselves for the 2014 list if na like that. hahaha... You just reminded of Lars Lagerback 2010 World cup provisional list. That man's first list then comprises of 45 names... Pari pari na first round we comot for the tournament. |

As predicted yesterday by an honourable that there will be a meltdown after the release of the list... It has began.
I don de see your handiwork o @ Forgiveness. Welldone.
One thing is certain Rohr can't satisfy everyone. He has done his best and his best is fair-no favouratism.
Had it been that, the list was drawn by a local/indigeneous coach, here for don turn upside down. Cos am sure nothingless than 50% of names will be new faces, 40% Home Based.
But thanks be to God who has bless us with Gernot Rohr... Who has deliver our football from the hands of corrupt personels and lobbyist. |

TheSuperNerd: Yes Sir AiG... Form and this....
Simy got this recognition and chance because he is doing the deed in a BIG LEAGUE {a top 5 league in Europe) and in a position (CF) that Rohr feels he can get maybe one more player to add firepower or battle Ighalo for his spot. Or maybe even complement as his backup? Time will tell... One thing I know is that Musa, Iwobi, Moses, Simon, Iheanacho, and Ighalo are WC bound. The only question is whether Simy will be our 7th forward or if he will be dropped with Lokosa and we go with Six forwards... This here is the little mathematical puzzle. I'll prefer 7forwards 6Midfielders and 7Defenders. But if Rohr decides to take 6forwards which is unlikely, then I'll like the one slot to be given to the defence. Me think it'll be injustice to carry one of Agu or Agbo to the World cup. |

Joebie: I can already predict Rohr's 23-man list. It's a no brainer
3 keepers (Ajiboye to be dropped) 7 defenders (Eze, Echiejile(a tough call), and Omuero will be dropped) 6 midfielders (Agbo and Agu will be dropped) 7 forwards (Lokosa will be dropped) *EDITED* |

TheSuperNerd: The opinion of an Irish fan on twitter:
@a_lynskey96 (Andrew W Lynskey)
"I’m not even Nigerian in any way but I want them to win the World Cup or atleast get as far or further than Ghana did in 2010, the Nigerian team is full of youth, experience, speed and good defensive power, the likes of Ndidi, Moses, iheanacho, Iwobi and big John Obi Mikel will master the pitches in Russia in front of mixed emotions."
He added further down that Tweet's thread:
"Idk, but i like Nigeria, good people and great players like Obafemi Martins and Kanu." (This was in response to being asked if he has any Nigerian blood).
"Plus the nickname super eagles just sounds so superhero like, like ye know ye are going to dominate with your teams."
"All I know is that I’m supporting them in the competition, and you know the hope for England to be knocked out(the irishness in me wants this to happen). But i do plan on going there at sometime in my lifetime just to see what’s in the water and food that makes the players great."
That's it folks, yet another foreigner rooting for the Super Eagles big time
Russia 2018 WC Countdown: 31 days 37 mins to go I don't know why everybody wants to be a Nigerian! In captain Sunny's voice. |

tbaba1234: We also have a culture of trying to influence everything. From NYSC, to police cases, to court cases.. We always try to use money or influence to affect results. This iswhat coaches face. the problem is that Nigeria is not a merit driven country and that's why you see everybody trying to play the influence card just to have what they want... This cut across all endeavours of Nigerians... From gaining admission, job recruitments etc, the saddest part of it is that the religious centres too are not left out. |

tbaba1234: The super eagles job will be hard for a Nigerian to do... The amount of pressure from agents and NFF officials on Rohr right now can be overwhelming. Everyone trying to add their player. You are right. Sincerely, coaching the SEs is One of the toughest job in the country. No wonder Sunday Oliseh resigned and ran away. The heat experienced by the team's handlers is second to none. The only thing Nigerians are obliged and loyal to is the National Team(with the world cup around the corners, everyone don pocket their love for european clubs). Expect Nigerians to monitor and scrutinize every move Rohr and his crew make. No room for lapses. It's not easy representing the largest black nation in the world. Na prayer I de pray for Uzoho... Make God give the guy a big heart and courage to man that post. Sometimes, I do wish we can channel same or half the energy and pressure we put on the national teams officers on our political leaders to deliver... Who knows we might experience a turn around in our politics. |

Stoke city ended their 10years stay in the english topflight-the EPL with a 1-2 victory over fellow relegated side Swansea city.
The britannian boys will seriously be missed. Their style of play characterised with long and high(police) ball couple with ruggedness will remain with the fans as memory.
During their spell in the EPL, The britannia stadium was home to two of our guys- Osaze Odemwinge and Victor Moses.
On behalf of your fans in Nigeria, we say thank you and wish you the best in the championship. |

BascoVanVeli: That's a big IF. Trials are very risky and he can miss out on both the contract and his form in the league. If they really want him they should sign him outright. Kano Pillars have a good track record of sending players off to better their career, Shehu and Musa come to mind. Lokosa has a chance to do something great, something that has never been done before. At this rate he could end up scoring 30 goals this season. I just hope people don't get in his ears and mess this up for him. thank you my brother. |
