Moses who just finished a 38 league season will burn out in 65 mins?? Come on, now.. His fitness can definitely cope with one fame.

Moses was not a wing back before this season. There is no reason why Echiejile can't play on the left for instance.

Phillippe Trouisser played 3 at the back when he qualified Nigeria for the world Cup.
do you remember Chelsea couldn't cope when Marcos and Moses had injury. So this tells you that not all players can be deployed there.

I don't have any problem with us switching to this formation. The issue is that we're not playing comoros but CAMEROUN for Christ Sake!

I can't laugh at the line up of Omuero, Balogun and Ekong at the heart of defence with Victor and Echiejile been d WBs. The level of confusion wey go hit that team no be here.

I'm not Rohr, but I can tell you categorically that if he uses it against Corsica, Togo in friendlies. He won't try it out in a WCQ game against an eternal and disciplined side like the camerounians.

*MODIFIED*
The Introduction of the 3-4-3 should be gradual and not sudden. Probably after securing our ticket in the two legged matches bill for august/sept den our matches against Zambia and Algeria will be good enough to experiment.

football is evolving, check hw many coach adopted the formation this season alone. Even the stubborn arsene Wenger. What you should be asking is if we have the player to execute the formation, I'll say YES
have once stated this here. Even before chelsea became the favourite to win this season's EPL.

From my earlier post. You'll see that I stated that I fancy the set up. But it won't be easy integrating it into a national team set up.

I don't even know what to say when u mentioned that we've got the players to execute such a tactics. The truth is, presently we've only got Moses who is only sure for 65mins game time here in africa and to think we need atleast 3versatile WBs makes your claim a joke.

you need to know how the 3-4-3 works before condemning it. How many goals has arsenal conceded since they switch to 3-man defence, don't be confuse by the 3 men you see at the back, its actually a 5-man defence when the opponent are in possession of the ball, Moses and Echejiele can play the wing back role very well with ndidi infront of the back 3
I won't mind to recieve a 15mins lecture on this. I'll love to know more!

Arsenal just switched to a 3 4 3 formation a few weeks ago and their form has drastically improved. They are likely going to make top 4 even though it looked impossible a few weeks ago. It helps when you have two wing backs willing to defend. With Moses, we have one of the best in the world.

Rohr is having a camp, what better time to start testing it out. By the time, the Yaounde game comes, we can be more than ready to play like that if necessary.

It is not true that we do not have the players.
Good! Aside Moses, Kindly give me another WB we possess in our arsenal?

You need to factor other things when it comes to playing in Africa. I don't expect you to forget how harsh our Weather can be, the pitches are way different from what you can get in europe.

I bet you, the Moses you've just mention will burn out in 65mins if played in that role.

We can try any formation we need be it 2-7-1, 3-6-1, 3-5-2 or 1-8-1. Make we shall qualify first with the conventional 4 man defence our players sabi well well. Even with 4 men we no get clean sheet and you wan make we put 3 otondos for back.

Iheanacho for Musa. This will be a good formation for the away game in Yaounde.
I beg to disagree on the 3-man defence formation. As much as I fancy these 3-man defence formations(3-4-3, 3-5-2) I don't think we have players who can easily adopt it. Playing dis set-up against a pacy and strong team like d lions of cameroun will be suicidal.

We should not be swept away by Chelsea's recent success with the formation. Don't forget despite Antonio Conte's mastery of this formation he had to spend more time(everyday) perfecting things out with his boys and the time factor is not there when it comes to national team engagement.

Atleast If we must try it out then it should be in a friendly with little intensity from both sides, where we have little to nothing to loose or else we should be expecting a clueless defence line...

Man City Turn Down Hoffeinheim Proposal To Buy Iheanacho After Proposed Loan Stint
May 12, 2017 Nigeria

IMG_2892
Manchester City have turned down a proposal from Bundesliga side Hoffeinheim to buy Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho after the end of his proposed loan spell.

Hoffeinheim are presently locked in talks with Manchester City over the 20 year old who has fallen down the pecking order at the Etihad as exclusively reported by this portal last month.

However a deal is far from reached even though the forward has made it clear to City that he is leaving and the club on their part have accepted his decision, they still want him to leave on loan with no option of a permanent transfer in the summer.

The German side want to negotiate a deal that will see the forward spend a loan at the club before moving over permanently next summer if he impresses ‎, they want the fee for his permanent transfer to be agreed as well.

However Manchester City are insisting on a straight loan with no option of permanent transfer, presumably to strengthen their bargaining power if Iheanacho comes good during the course of his loan spell.

Another big exclusion is Aluko. I don't see these guys(henry, kalu, sone) joining the team for the south Africa game. The france camping is the best shot Rohr has to access these boys.

Well, as Sir Icon4s has earlier stated that Henry should continue his thing and one day he'll get called up. I only hope a dream move to a bigger club materialised.

I de enjoy this debate on education n sport.

America's structured and organised system don rub on Sir Tbaba. E don forget se things no de work for naija as one go see in the western world.

He kept mentioning teaching time management to kids. Abeg who go teach that? Is it the same teacher that uses the break time(the little time during sch to play) to teach mathematics and bombard this same students with assignments they won't be able to finish till the next day
Or schools that don't have PHE teachers who will teach kids the rudiments of these sports?

Here in Nigeria, Schooling(which I think Sir. Tbaba is mixing up with education) and sports does not go hand in hand. You either choose one after acquiring the basic knowledge to maneuver your way through life-which you can get from High Sch (i.e the ability to read, understand and translate what has been understood to practical knowledge + basic arithmetics)

any kid having talent in sports should better spend more time horning his skills while he is stil young and that way he'll stand a chance and if he fails to make it professionally(I think between 20-22yrs)
he and she can always go back to school to get the needed CERTIFICATE which never late and will always wait...

We Will Drop Some Players Before Corsica Friendly – Rohr Confirms

https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/3C82B231-967E-42CF-8AE2-08A28D4A871B-1569-000000901EEC85BD.jpeg

Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has confirmed that not all players invited for the Super Eagles get together in France will make the squad for the friendly game against Corsica Island.

As many as 30 players are expected to make the trip to France with the Super Eagles, but that number will be trimmed before the team’s training session in Paris, Rohr has confirmed.

Nigeria will play a test game against the tiny Island, three days after their camp opens in France, but the coach has confirmed that some players will be dropped from the team before the friendly on the 26th.

"We will play against Corsica and we will have about 20 to 23 players. But not all the players will come with us to Paris on May 23 when we meet before proceeding to Ajaccio in Corsica, where the game will be played."

The game will give fringe players of the team, the chance to stake a claim in the squad for the AFCON 2017 qualifiers against South Africa on the 10th of June.

How old is Leroy Sane?! Is he not younger than Iheanacho?! When he came to Manchester City, he was drilled for few Weeks, was given his Chances and he's now an integral Part of the Team.

I remember last Season, Iheanacho was over the Media in England. He was acknowledged as the most clinical in the EPL. He was compared with Rashford and everyone was expecting him to perhaps outshine Rashford and other young Lads in the League this Season.

Alas! If he wasn't given playing Time by Pellegrini, how would the World know how talented he is?! Who's watching Drills and Trainings?! Engineering isn't about Theory, rather Practical - coz I'm expecting an Engineer to show me how it's done, not to tell me!

Jesus..... Iheanacho age mate ought to be recuperating now, yet he's getting a Cameo and gradually returning back to the starting Lineup!

I guess Nolito, despite his Experience, is back to drilling School?!
*smiles*
The man called Pep is too Rigid when it comes to his approach to football. He sent Hart away for a ball playing Bravo and kept playing him not until everton thrashed him 4 goals to nothing.
Well I pray he delivers something next season. Else... E go see d other side of English fans.

I wouldn't advise him to join Arsenal. Trust me, he's still gonna be kept on the Bench at Arsenal.

Arsenal must buy world Class Players in the Summer to redeem the Image of the Club, hence a Player like Iheanacho is definitely not the type they need!

I will rather advise him to join Hoffenham, Seville, or Monaco!
I don't even see the lad moving to any rival club in England considering his talent. I'm very sure Pep himself knows this and he won't make that mistake. As you've stated above, if any permanent move is to materialize I see him moving out of england.

When I say someone is maddeningly in love with Pep so much that their opinions reek of bias and wont see from other people's perspective, then it looks like attack on their personality. Like I said , everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. Just dont share those sentiments where enlightened folks are. If Pep were that good, he would be winning UCL back to back since the days of Barca. Not even sure he won a single UCL at Bayern. The dude is so arrogant he even took Sabatical after he left Barca. Question is what happened after he left? Football didnt stop. And here he is stuck to one stupid ideology. Making a mould for strikers to fit into. Not flexible upfront. Sent Joe Hart away with body language of preference for Bravo. What has he achieved with all that. If he won @ Bayern, its because the players were individually good. If he wants to test his might, he should take a team like sunderland that lacks quality and transform them into champions, I dare say in 6 seasons.

As per our own concern/business interest in man city ... and thats Iheanacho, he is not a beginner. Scorin over 13goals in EPL is not beans. Iheanacho has been fast way before Lord Guardiola came. So all these talk of drills dont fly. I see sterling play rubbish week in week out. Still as selfish as can be. Aguero hasnt exactly been scoring hat tricks in every match as one would expect, considering the almighty anointing of Guardiola, Grandmaster Jedi of football. I see Gabriel Jesus and frankly he isnt playing anything different. Its just a case of belief in your preferred player. Why will you not perform if you have your coach's backing?
Pep is as petty as saying Toure wont play until his agent apologizes to him, to his team. Third party apology! Haba. So to me, I would more or less want to go with the school of thought that says Iheanacho had a fallout with him based on agent issues. The true story will unfold in a matter of weeks. I trust Iheanacho to do the needful. Move out of City before he gets left behind in foolish idiosycracies and obsolete ideologies.
you're so on point Baba.

Guardiola might have won it all across spain and Germany. But in England his legendary status as a coach will be tried n tested.

I can remember one of his fans shouting up and down telling me that lord pep has arrived and that will translate to man city dominating the whole of England for a long time. I smiled then. He went to claim that he sees him winning trebles after pep's first 6 winning streak(I told d dude that this is EPL and not those leagues where one or two teams have established their dominance over a long time). But still he won't listen.

One thing with pep's fans is that they see him as 'infallible' and adopting his philosophy translate to success both on and off the pitch. But I tell them in England you don't play philosophical football rather you play football the way it is.

Welcome back Sir Kog45, Abeg where is Sir Certitude and Mikron.

Miss, you can always have a dream striker, you can have a perfect mid-fielders even you can have a solid defender. But a perfect goalkeeper will have to be an alien or the great shaolin team goalie.

Every goal keepers have their own inadequacy(ies) and weakness(es)-no perfect goalie. Enyeama is know to have poor judgement when it comes to defending set pieces mostly from the corner flags. But vinny is a guy you'll always want to have in goal when it comes to penalty shoot outs. He has gr8 reflexes and jumps that most young goal keepers will envy.

Baba, let's say we qualified. do you really think Amuneke would have extended call ups to these guys? Do you think if they get called up they'll be featured? I personally doubts it. Our coaches have thesame mentality of picking 'their boys' ahead of the best.

Manu did it, Siasia did it, Oliseh also did it. So, I am very sure Amuneke will continue with the trend. It is in their blood. They all lack fairness in team selection

Nigerian GK Enyeama Says He Outshone Barcelona Star Messi At World Cup

https://allnigeriasoccer.com/football_pics/37020Messi.jpg

Former Super Eagles captain Vincent Enyeama has revealed that he played better than Messi at the World Cup.

In the last two editions of the number one football event on Fifa's football calendar, the Super Eagles lost to Argentina, albeit narrowly, with the Lille goalkeeper in between the pipes.

Enyeama's best performance against the South American powerhouse was at Ellis Park Stadium, Johannesburg on June 12, 2010, when he prevented Messi from scoring on numerous occasions and picked up the Man of the Match award in the process.

Reacting after Messi inspired Barcelona to a 3-2 win against Real Madrid on Sunday, Enyeama tweeted : ''I am not sure that he is human.because he is so fast, precise and so good.Messi be bossing el Classico''

A Twitter user Olukayode Layade replied Enyeama, ''@vinpee ...and he bossed you at the World Cup too. Na joke oo .''

He fired back : ''@rocakay I bossed him bro.I was called el phenomenon by him and el Diego. Not sure that you were born''.

**said it with three ntoorrrr Smileys** loolll

Enyeama has posted eight shutouts in the current season and did not feature in last weekend's clash against Guingamp due to a knee injury.
