I think Sone Aluko's dad has mad connect being a senator. Settlement couldn't have been his problem.

What is working against Aluko is the level which he plays. Nigerians don't regard players who play in the Championship and second divisions.
He has always been invited whenever he plays in the top division.

Playing in the lower division is affecting Hope's chances too. Can't these guys seek née adventures in other countries like France, Italy and Spain? The pay in these countries can't be that lower than what they get in the championship.
Na only Aluko's case I pity. The guy don suffer for naija's coaches hand- de no even invite am again after 2goals in a competitive match. Make Rohr look im side for the upcoming friendlies.

For Akpan, who do u think he can displace in this current team?

Victor............... Onazi.......... Ndidi............ Joel Obi

................................. Mikel/Iwobi

How far?
no doubt Joel Obi is a talent. Recurrent injuries has been his undoing. He just picked another one yesterday-he orchestrated Torino's third goal-dude is still sharp when fit.

I just de pray se make Success no follow is path.

GOALKEEPER

Vincent Enyeama - Lilie; If he recend his decision to play for Nigeria, he is for sure my first choice.

Carl Ikeme - Wolves; He is currently the first choice in the absence of Enyeama and he has never for once made us miss Enyeama for now. grin

Dele Alampasu - Feirenese(on loan)

Jonathan Ligali - Montpelier; He is eligible to play for Nigeria.

David Nwokolor - HNK Rijeka
Has Vincent changed is mind?

Tammy has been consistent this season-he deserves a call up. He has even score thesame number of goals Jude Ighalo score for an entire season during his stint at the championship.

I see these guys pushing the likes of Ighalo n Ideye out of the national team.

Forget Dortmund they have a stock pile of young strikers... Ísák....anyone.....iheanacho will do a lukaku.... Westham looks good. Let us wait and see. But in case you haven't noticed mancity rarely loan players to epl clubs... I still hold the opinion that he will stay. Come August/September we will find out.
your opinion is welcomed n respected as we all want d best for nacho.

On city players going out on loans, wilfred Bony is a close and recent example. He his presently wit Stoke city.

With d numbers of 'attacking' players dortmund has though not all can spear head their attack(top strike), it's only Auba that has been outstanding interm of goal scoring n he his followed by Dembele if I'm right. Reus is presently a shadow of himself and Isak is barely 18 and I don't see how he'll pose a threat to Nacho.

Despite their short comings these guys are still been given ample time to show what de've got.

I see nacho getting more playing time there compared to city.

Manchester City are prepared to sanction a record-breaking move for Tottenham star Dele Alli, according to the Sunday Express.

If Iheanacho was to leave Manchester City (I do not see Stellar Group wanting one of their top talents on the bench. It is not good for agency business) where do you think is the suitable place for Iheanacho. I mean club destination.
for loan move...
EPL-Southampton, Bournemouth or Westham.

SERIE A-A.C Milan

BUNDESLIGA-Dortmund.

For a Permanent move...
I'll suggest any of the Merseyside team.

As crazy as this sounds Sir AIG07 I have a feeling he will stay next season though I want him to play more. Navas will leave that is certain. He is the face of man city's academy. The first to break through, make a name for himself and hold a place for a while. Just watch this space. He will play against Huddersfield in the fa cup. Sometimes I wonder why all this noise. At a time we had 4 strikers in the team, tevez, aguero, balotelli, dzeko and even jovetic another time.
A loan move to West ham might be good though
The reason for the fuss is that the coach(pep) does not believe in the boy and there is no sign he'll be giving all his strikers fair share of game time like his predecessors(Mancini n Pellegrini).

To me, the best option for Nacho is either to go out on loan or go on a permanent deal. It's obvious he might not get enough playing time under pep and I'm sure u know d effect it will have on such a young lad(Martial n Rashford as an example).

KELECHI IHEANACHO WILL FIGHT BACK AT MANCHESTER CITY - ROHR

Kelechi Iheanacho will fight back at Manchester City - Rohr
Kelechi Iheanacho scores for Manchester City
by Staff Reporter
Thursday Feb 09, 2017. 07:52
Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr has backed youngster Kelechi Iheanacho to fight back to serious reckoning at Premier League side Manchester City after he was left of the squad for several weeks.

Iheanacho, 20, last played for City on January 15 as a late sub in a 4-0 loss at Everton.

This season, he has scored four goals in 15 appearances in the Premier League.

And Rohr has now said he believes the former Flying Eagles star will fight his way to the City first-team squad despite the arrival of Brazil star Gabriel Jesus.

“I am sure Kelechi will come back to this team,” assured Rohr.

“He’s a fighter, he has a good fighting spirit. This player is a good athlete and he has a good mind.

“I have spoken with him and he will come back.

“He’s a young player, so sometimes he plays, sometimes he doesn’t.

“And for a big club like Manchester City, you can’t play all the time.

“I believe he will come back to play for City again.”

Under Rohr, Iheanacho has flourished at full international level – he scored in the first two matches of the Franco-German coach, against Tanzania and Zambia.

Isaac's power and physical strengths will surely be needed against a side like Cameroun. smiley

I remember in my personal ratings of the camerounians after their afcon triumph saying I honestly wouldn't fancy Iheanacho coming up against Ngadjui Ngedeu (no.5). Nacho may outpace and outfox him but physically, Nacho will suffer against Ngadjui and Teiku... Isaac's power will be needed and he is not all power and physicality as he is also technically gifted unlike Ighalo and Ideye and even Kayode....

On Onazi and Ndidi... This has to be the fiercest battle in our team at the moment. I wish for more healthy titanic battles like this in other positions.... smiley

Although on the wings we have shaa but Moses and Iwobi (if he's not playing centrally) top others for now....

In defence, I hope Otigba can come in and give Ekong a fight. Hope Omeruo steps up too. Balogun looks like the leader of that defence... Almost like an untouchable for now.

Other positions... Well... As time goes on, the competitions will get hotter and fiercer...
Is Balogun injured?

It's been a while he made his club match day squad.

I hope all is fine with him.

Please...why do people make very good points, yet destroy it with absurd analogies and examples? Ronaldo and Messi do not replicate club achievements in their national teams? Really? Were you alive in 2016?
Eh. Man don't misinterprete what I put up there.
Note: I said 'not taking anything away from them'

I was much more alive when Ronaldo went all the way to win Euros'16 scoring and assisting in all games enroute to the final and putting up a stellar performance for good solid 120mins in d final.
I was much alive when Leo buried the his spot kick for Argentina in Copa America final to conquer d whole of America and I was around too during 2014 WC when Higuain was squadring all chamber leo created.

Baba, I only mentioned these outstanding players(one of the bests the game has ever seen) in relation to their national team setups, emphasizing the importance of other team team members(from the goalkeeper to the striker).

Most of these guys who attack Mikel are quick to cite Leo n Ronaldo. My question is do de play thesame role?
They tend to make other roles outside the ones these two guys play irrelevant.

Or do u think Barca n Madrid will be dominating Laliga n Europe without solid players in the defence n midfield-but these same players are unsung hero just because they are not scorers.

Bottom Line: fans should always learn to appreciate the works other players(which mikel falls into) put-in in achieving a success. I think they deserve some respect too.

We are going to beat Cameroon home and away as far as three or four of our players keep churning world class performance. Moses, Iwobi, Mikel and Balogun. Other just need to be average. Mikel is an overrated Nigerian player-Joebie, 2017.

What can I say ooo?
Abeg Nothing.
*Make I just laugh small*

I'm not here for an arguement but to make a proposal to coach Rohr n his technical crew to drop John Obi Mikel from our match day squad against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroun come august as some fans have been displeased with his performance since all these yrs point that he has not been justifying his inclusion in the NT.
These fans believes that Mikel stay in the NT is long overdue and has contributed little to non to the nations football in recent yrs...blablabla

i have decided not to argue wit any Nigerian on Mikel's contribution to the round leather game both locally n internationally.

Most of these ppl claim to have been following the game since 1100 AD but fail to identify/recognize players who carry the team on their shoulders. The only ones they notice/see are the ones busy showboating, n probably scoring and the funniest part of it all is that the ones who rarely scores but decide to stay back n bring stability to the team are always culprit of bashing n abuse...

This set of ppl are quick to mention Messi n Ronaldo(I'm not taking away anything from them) as yardstick to measure worldclass performance but they've failed to ask themselves why these same players have failed to replicate their clubs achievements in their respective national teams.

Football is Team game and until we learn to appreciate other players performances we will not come to understand the beauty of it.

Mikel might not be banging in goals for the national team but what he brings(vision, creativity, leadership etc) to the table is second to non and you like it or not he is already a football legend and a national hero.

Ignore this post all you want but Kelechis days at Man City are numbered. GL is a crap coach. He needs money to back his success and Kelechi is not his type of player. GL is not into grooming players and thats what Kelechi needs right now to become a world great.

He's got to make a move and hopefully his next move will be Arsenal. He might not win much but he'll at least get playing time wink wink
you're right.
January Transfer window was an opportunity missed.

Gab has pep's backing n he knows the amount of confidence he puts in him(I even learn't that pep gave him a personal call just to convince him to switch to city) it's obvious he is d beloved-nothing will change that, I repeat, nothing will change that not even nacho's rigorous work rate or improvement on the training pitch...

So the best option for our boy is to move out n move on cos as long as pep is at the helms Gab will keep playing ahead of d citizens cult hero-Kun Aguero and we know what that means to kelechi. Another 90mins of football.

Sir TheGoodJoe should just forget the city project cos Pep himself does not believe in it.

Rohr is unapologetically biased towards German football which is not his fault this is where most of his experiential knowledge comes from.

When we are talking Green Eagles national team it is not a testing ground. But a an arena to prove your ability.

Players who have not played a competitive season with thier teams from where we can assess thier quality, ability, and possible contribution to improve our national team. SHOULD NOT be invited to camp yet.
sir, I share in ur concern too.
But be rest assured there is no cause for alarm on who n who will be called up for the crunch encounters against the indomitables come august.

Rohr is no rookie and he understands the magnitude of the task ahead-so no room for experimentation.

Most of this news of rohr scouting, following or may likely give call ups to some unknow players playing or not playing are fake n made up by agent-bought media just to call attention toward such a player-which m sure u know better.

Peradventure the lions go all d way to lift the afcon trophy then Our dear brothers in the glass house will need to get off their comfort zone and organise some series of friendly matches both during/off d international breaks to test all this prospective players as our perennial foe will be representing africa at this yr's confederations cup which 'll give them more time to jell as a team therefore posing greater threat to us.

Wonderful posts so far.
Chai I don miss o o o.

TheGoodJoe seems to be disappointed with pep's recent decisions.

Well, for people like me Pep's action is not coming as a suprise rather, it's a confirmation of his attitude toward his players(most especially those who welcomes him ).
Let him enjoy some winning streak as city will be facing average teams spread across 3wks of football.

It is now more glaring that pep has no plan for nacho... The earlier d boy knows this the better for him. No amount of his work rate will change pep's mind-who ever he loves, he prefers.

What hurts me most is the way pep has tampered with nacho's development-hampering his progression in his natural attacking role behind d striker as seen during pelle's era and nacho been a player we all knew, offers more than just scoring goals and playing him as a lone striker has taken that away from his game.

Finally, @ those who are quick to jump on the thread just to sing gab's praises to the high heavens as if he is the awaited messiah city have far been longing for should relax and watch how things turn out also putting in mind that what took gab close to 200mins of play took nacho a total of 5 mins of regular time spread across 2matches to score his first professional goal in English topflight(records speaks for him)... Just wait and see-no one overhypes him here-his talent and records speak for him!
