It's wrong to class programmers as u would class other technicians. Programming requires logic nd reasoning as does computer science that's y if a good programmer wants to,he can pick up cs knowledge as d job demands without too much brain stress. A laptop repairer or mason etc cant do so? A programming task can span months, hundreds to thousands of hours. All spent thinking logically. That's not trvial. Again other technicians dont work so. Programmers arent inferior to computer scientists/mathematicians. They complement each other. Many computer scientists cant code professionally- i dont mean toy coding used in research- i'm talkng industrial grade coding. Many professors cant either. Many cs researchers dont hav d stamina to code for hundreds of hours. Professional programmers can.

Learning ERPs is not just going to school to learn say Corel draw or Matlab. And yes there are training institutions where u learn how to configure and deploy ERPs. The fees sha dey heal short sightedness! And ERPs dying out? Naaaaaaaaaaaah. Its what drives many businesses in the world today. From Manufacturing to even Facebook and the IT giants

Lemme expand in what the poster above has advised.

My advise to you is why not get the best of both worlds? There is a "genre" of Software called ERP which are notoriously difficult to set up particularly the financial modules. You can pldecide to become a consultant in deployment of one ERP and also learn how to design and code plugins or customisations that add more functionality to these software than what comes out-of-the-box. Your knowledge in accounting is highly sought after by ERP consulting organisations. If u now add technical competence in programming you are in big bucks. Competent SAP (the biggest ERP worldwide) consultants command $1000/day when deploying for clients (but you have to work hard before you can start commanding this type of figure)

Given that you used the slang "mate" here and mentioned GDPR in another comment here I can safely assume we're you are located. I tell you for free, Nigerian users DO NOT read those screens where there accept the permissions. They careless about what permissions the apps ask for. If I mentioned GDPR to 100 Nigerians I bet 98 will have NO idea what I was talking about.

So yes such an app would declare what permissions it requires and most Nigerians would happily accept them not knowing what they accepted. Plus does declaring the permissions prevent the app developer from surreptitiously stealing the data they requested permissions for?

And we are in a generation where by our mobile phone is practically our life, account info, etc.
Giving an unverified app access to this information on your mobile can be dangerous.
