I've not seen anything indicting Mrs. Aisha Buhari in this article. After-all, in 2005, PDP was in power and her account was investigated. What was the outcome of that investigation? PDP would have done everything possible to link to bring Buhari's presidential campaign to a halt if something fishing was discovered. But "NO', it is now Fayose would open his big mouth to implicate the presidents wife.

I even thank God that its not PDP, by now Fayose should have been rotting in jail.

Happy days are ahead of us.

With the news, the worst of our economic woes are behind us.

Kudos to the government for floating the Naira rather than devaluing it. A first in the history of Nigeria.

*Modified*

Some ignorant mourning wailers are saying floating the naira is same as devaluing it. Hell NO!

If you devalue the Naira, you fix an official exchange rate to it. E.g N250 to a dollar. With that approach, the black market rate will jump to beyond N400 to a dollar.

But with floating, many traders with high volume of dollars come in and trade dollars based on demand. In this approach, there is no official dollar rate set by the government. The rate is purely determined by how much dollars are demanded and how much dollars are available. This way, the Naira finds its true value.

This is really correct! Kudos to the CBN Gov., atleast rather than devaluing the Naira, its being floated. Yeh, we needed the Naira much as we need dollars in carrying our business transactions. Let the market forces determine the price...look it is maths, If I need maybe $20,000, i could decide I want to buy a dollars for 200, and another person want to buy for 150. I will certainly get the bid. Some how the price for dollar will fall very soon. We can even buy a dollar for N20 as the times pass bye (my prediction).

Most sensible comment here so far.

How ever, I'm tempted to agree with paulsir.

What is going on in Osun state is stealth islamisation. It's very subtle and slow rather than quick method of invading a place and forcing people to accept Islam.

In a matter of years, you'll see Muslims demanding more of "rights" according to the dictates of their religion. If their initial attempts, such as this recent case are not resisted now, then there is no hope in the years to come. Little drops make a mighty ocean.

You are very wrong. The Nigerian state has past that stage of colonization. No body can islamise or christianise any state, anywhere as far as i Nigeria concerned. What happened in the past taught us a lot of lessons and I dont this Osun state can be islamise or Muslims demanding more rights. What right are they demanding or are you telling me now that Osun state is christianised? Quite being a religion extremists and confusionist. just quite it

Its so unfortunate that this is really happening in Nigeria. We have gone past those days where some group of persons come up with selfish ideology to cause mayhem and confusion in the society.

That person instigating the stoppage of hijab is not doing the right thing, rather causing more problem to the already heated polity. I can tell you that before now, school girls have been wearing hijab to school and it has never caused any lost to life and properties. Ok, look at the image posted by the OP, can such a short hijab cause problem?

All this haters should stop this unnecessary moves to fight the other religion. If you like tie rapper to the school just because you hate seeing young Muslim girls wearing hijab...none-sense

I think we should do more research on this issue of Buhari's certificate this before making comments.

Im not a lawyer, but i heard that anybody with 10 years of experience in the public sector can contest for election. On the other hand, President Buhari pass through a military school. Do you think if Buhari his not educated, he can become a military President to rule NIGERIA just like that? I even read Buhari also trained at US War College. This is a school with an equivalent certificate for masters programme if not higher. So, what are now saying...a graduate or equivalent which President and the People's General "as i call him" Buhari has.

Politics / Re: APC Reveals Why Crisis Rocks PDP by aisammy4: 10:46am On Jun 15, 2016
sharpden:
THE national Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in reacting to the “baseless and laughable allegations” of a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which accuses the APC and the Presidency of being behind the Ali Modu Sheriff-led PDP faction, wishes to remind the PDP that it is suffering from its sins of the past.

The Ahmed Makarfi-led Caretaker Committee of the PDP had on Tuesday accused the APC and the Presidency of being behind the Sheriff faction, to ensure that the PDP is in perpetual crisis and unable to produce credible candidates for the forth coming elections in Edo and Ondo state.

“For the umpteenth time, the APC wishes to state that instead of joining issues with the baseless and laughable allegations, the APC would rather join issues that will bring about all-inclusive development in the country,” a statement by APC national secretary, Mala Buni, said.

“However, it should be put on record that the PDP forced on them whatever crisis it is troubled with today due to its politics of imposition and other undemocratic practices which the APC abhors.

The PDP should put its house in order rather than playing to the gallery and blaming others but themselves for their sins which has come to hunt them. Also, it is evident that the PDP has chosen to employ diversionary tactics because of its inability to produce credible candidates for the forthcoming elections in Edo and Ondo states.”

Politics / Re: I Remain PDP National Chairman Till 2018 – Sheriff by aisammy4: 9:28am On Jun 14, 2016
TheFreeOne:
Sen. Ali Modu Sheriff purportedly removed as National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the party’s convention in PortHarcourt recently, on Monday said he remained the party’s chairman.

He told newsmen at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja that he would remain in that position until 2018 except he was removed by the court.

Sheriff, who was said to have just returned from a foreign trip, had earlier on Monday been denied access into the party’s secretariat by policemen.

He said that he had watched events as they unfolded after the PortHarcourt convention, which he recalled that he suspended in obedience to a court order.

According to him, the court ordered that nobody should be elected into the offices of National Chairman, Secretary and Auditor at the convention.

Sheriff described the Sen. Ahmed Makarfi-led National Caretaker Committee constituted at the convention as “omnibus body” saying that it was not in PDP’s Constitution.

“I remain the authentic national chairman of PDP until 2018 unless the court of our land said I should cease to be, which I will obey.

“But, as of today till 2018, I, Ali Modu Sheriff, is the National Chairman of PDP,” he said.He said that if Makarfi was interested in becoming the party’s chairman, he should wait for a national convention and contest.

“Ali Modu Sheriff did not want to be chairman; they begged me to be. All of them came to beg me,” he said.Sheriff disclosed that when policemen stopped him from entering the party’s secretariat in the morning, he went to the Inspector-General of Police, who ordered his men to allow him in.

“Now that the police have handed over the security of the secretariat to the party, I will be coming everyday as the authentic chairman of the party,” he said.

He announced that Sen. Hope Uzordima was Chairman, Screening Committee for the party’s primaries for the Sept. 10 governorship election in Edo.

“We have also asked interested candidates to come and buy their forms for the primaries from Tuesday.”We are not selling the form for N16 million that people are talking about. We are selling it for N10 million,” Sheriff said.

On the fate of the National Working Committee (NWC) members who handed over to Makarfi, he said that a letter would be written to their deputies to take over if they failed to resume on Tuesday.

“All the deputies are waiting; any NWC member that refuses to resume tomorrow, his deputy will take over.”Sheriff, who claimed that he was working with every organ of the party, said that he was ready to work with every party member, including Makarfi and his committee members.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Sheriff was in company with National Secretary of the party, Prof. Adewale Oladipo, and a former political aide to former President Goodlucj Jonathan, Alhaji Ahmed Gulak.

It is very important to have these vehicle documents before you hit the roads to avoid being harassed. Failure to produce these documents could also lead to your car being impounded.

See the list below:

1) A valid Driver’s License
2) Vehicle license
3) Insurance Certificate
4) Certificate of Road Worthiness.
5) CMR (Police report)
6) A Tinted permit if your vehicle has a tinted glass (Very important)

Another important thing to note is that the documents must be up to date. Don’t go around with expired or fake papers.

http://www.9janewsarena.com/2016/03/6-important-vehicle-documents-police-frsc-vio-will-always-ask-you.html

The above is correct. There is one more documents that should be included, COMPUTERIZED VEHICLE INSPECTION REPORT (for resident in Abuja). The Computerized vehicle testing system is an initiative of the Transport Secretariat, VIO and Temple Resources LTD to ensure that the vehicle is roadworthy to ply the Abuja road. Having a roadworthiness certificate does not mean the car is roadworthy. On so many occasion a clean cars (assumed to be new) is having a very bad tyres, bad lighting system, worn-out brake, bad alignment, ineffective suspension system and so on. But this cars will be assumed to be clean and before we know it, GBAMMM! has occur.

In order to guard against this road accident that most cost by inadequate maintenance of our car coupled with the bad road in Nigeria, the Abuja Vehicle Computerized Testing System has been established.

You can find out more information on Computerised vehicle testing via templeresourcesltd.com or call 07033043922

Yet, I cannot begrudge Sheriff because even he has been at end of innuendos and malicious attacks, mostly unsubstantiated.

I think however, that the death knell has been rung and the funeral rites of PDP is being conducted.

Many are already throwing in their towels (no free money), whilst some are bracing for a monumental fallout. Either way, the future is bleak for PDP.
