Africans, exterminate that "white saviour" mentality from your brains. Nobody can love you more than yourself. You have all forgotten what it mean to be second-class citizens. And here we are talking of ordinary foreign students. Black for that matter in a Eastern European country. Are you all surprised? You know nothing about this world then. |

humberjade: Nah! I beg to differ...our mumu authorities would still ensure every white or fairer foreigner gets evacuated first, followed by the rich and influential...then much later the masses. Nigerians might later come first before other African countries, but definitely not before the Whites and Chinese in particular, our authorities worship those folks, they can kill even fellow countrymen to protect them.
But apart from the corrupt and slave angle to it, Nigerians are kinda wired to treat visiting foreigners better than we treat ourselves. Bitter but true! Yes, bitter truth. It's happening everyday all over Africa, and most especially Nigeria. A place where security officials would hold umbrella over the head of a foreigner in order to protect him/her from rain. |

aboyaji: To me, there's nothing bad the Ukrainian Government did to Nigerians in Ukraine.
This is unrest and security breach. Priorities must come first.
Why were even Nigerian citizens in Ukraine running away from the chaos?
Why did they not stand by the Ukrainian Government to fight the war coming from Russia?
You do not run away from your house while your enemy attack, you stand and protect your interest.
Ukrainian soldiers are doing the work while the strangers were running away. So, there's no way same treatment can be given to all. It doesn't happen.
Priorities first.
I don't want to talk about the South African menace. They're worse off. Xenophobia is hell. If I may ask, which part of your body is your brain located? So, you are saying that foreign students should stay back and fight with Ukraine against Russia. You should first ask if they used to get the same benefits as Ukrainian citizens before the war. Senseless! |

Jagaban is stinking rich no doubt even atiku can attest to it Although it is necessary Nigerians ask for the source of wealth of someone aspiring to lead them , but it should be done without bigotry or hatred Stinking rich? From what source? How many companies has he founded. Those that I know of are those he wrestled from the original owners, and this he did while in government. I know an individual personally, who was forced to hand over his company to him in return for some "change". Tinubu used state vehicle to do that because these individuals had went to Lagos State govt with some bright ideas their company want to partner Lagos in. However, Mr Jagaban will instead hijack the individual and make an offer in return for large chunk of the company. This is not hearsay. I discussed directly with someone who had similar experience. In fact, they would let you know that their way is the only way because you can't go it alone. Because, the govt need to issue you one permit or the other. Up till now, he control the entire resources and govt in Lagos. |

na only rubbish African evil spirit dey do, when the rest of the world are becoming rich and powerful. Shame. Positive human characters create positive environment and positive initiatives and less antagonizing interest. This create less chaos in a society. In such environment, dark forces have less negative energy to feed on. Though still not 100% ideal society. Compare the above to the scenario below. Negative human characters, including injustice, corruption, extreme greed, mass killings and spilling of human blood, excessively colliding human interests. All these create chaos in a society, and because most humans are reactionary, chaos lead to more chaos. This create an enabling environment for dark forces to feed on. If Nigeria as other African country pursue justice, and change their character by 50% positivity, a lot of things will change in the physical world around them. |
Family › Re: I Love My Wife & My Kid, But I Want To Leave The Marriage. Help! by ajl: 3:22pm On Feb 26, 2022 |
Ofiadiegwu: Please Nairalanders, can this be real?
I need to be sure this is possible in real life .
What I know is that whenever a person is in financial difficulty, he thinks of many things and may blame wife, children, servants, neighbors, landlord, rodents, pets animals, parents, siblings, village people, government,...
I also know that when a person is poor or peniless: there is one or more thing that person can do to break away from the shackles of extreme poverty. The task therefore is for such person to find that ONE OR MORE THING(S) AND DO IT.
OP, your task is to rise up from where you're now and do something different.
I recommend that you: Wake up earlier from now on, Think positive thoughts more, Talk to positive people often, Read motivational books as if your life depends on it.
More importantly, pray with your spouse without ceasing, agreeing together.
Don't see your God-given wife as your problem. That's wrong.
Be ready to work more than one job in a day. Do two or more jobs (even menial jobs). Let your source of income be more than one and don't put a boundary or limit to the jobs or duration of time you use working. No odd hours for you, except for security reasons..
Do these and see change in your finances. Your advice is logical but it still might not be enough. The guy could adopt this approach but he will still need to take other steps. Because if he doesn't, the problem may still persist. It's sad that most of us are walking this world blind. It's even sadder if the individual is Yoruba. All the tools are there for him. |

Mercychen: The only thing I'm going to ask you is.. did you perform the marital rites on her or are you two just cohabitating without being properly married?
Where did they see the vision and where did you go for prayers? Hope it's not in a white garment Church though.
Well If your answer to my first question is yes, then that ( living together without Marriage ) could be the cause of the setbacks. But if youre properly married, then relax and believe that God will make things beautiful very soon; especially since you've prayed about it. Blind faith. God will not come down to earth to make things beautiful for any humans. He has already provided us with all the tools, guide and knowledge we need. We human beings think too much of ourselves. |

Young man! Here is your problem just like most Yorubas. Lack of understanding of yoruba spirituality. The same woman you are thinking is "doing" you, can also be the one to uplift you. Problem.is that you are going to the wrong people. Go to a genuine Babalawo or Ifa priest. There are times those Egbe attached to your wife may have issue with you as the husband. The best place to get advice is not on Nairaland. Go to a Babalawo. If you don't know the meaning of the word Babalawo due to foreign religion influence, it mean "Father of mystery". Most Yoruba don't know what Olodumare has given us. We are custodian of the most sacred and deepest spiritual knowledge on the face of this earth. And we are either neglecting it or misusing it. May Olodumare give you wisdom to navigate this issue. And just to enlighten you. All humans come into this world with an Egbe. They are mostly spiritual guides. But it depend on the pact your woman made with her Egbe in the spirit world prior to her birth into this world. Because you don't see or experience them doesn't mean they do not exist. |

The white man continue to use his knowledge acquired and given to promote and rain evils upon the face of the earth. Time is running out for him to change his ways: -Use of atomic bomb -Use of arms to pursue wars -Use of biological agents -Global warming and depletion of ozone layer -Genetically modified organisms that displaces use of natural ones and distort natural balance. -Racism and colonialism at global scale. -Imposition of un-natural sexual tendencies on people of other cultures at global scale, and use of economic sabotage to achieve this.
If he continues to choose to live at odd and above nature, Mother nature will find a way to crush him into nothingness like she did to the evil ones of the days of old. |

eldoradoxx: Some years back, I followed my sister to her Call to Bar ceremony and was greatly impressed how the organizers enforced decent dress codes. The ladies were on one line and men on another line. The ladies would show their nails to ensure it was not painted with anything, I saw the enforcer digging their hands inside the ladies hairs to ensure no form of hair extension or attachment was fixed, they were all on their natural hair. They also inspected their ear rings to ensure it was not dangling. When people appear in any educational setting dressed like prostitutes and hooligans, education suffers because they learn absolutely nothing. Universities must enforce dress codes, if u can't cope, education is not your thing, go and learn handwork. Now, I am not for indecent dressing, but your mindset belong to a barbaric society. Nigeria is a country of zealots. It's only teenagers in your you can treat that way. |

lol
Why should security of the institution allow a poorly dressed person into the organisation
US is the most liberal of all countries, but they respect themselves when going into a government building
Even a notorious criminal wears suit and tie when facing a Judge
. University building is not government building. I don't think it's the lecturer responsibility to turn back fully dressed student except such female put on a see through dress or a dress that exposed the body too much. People in position of authority overstep their boundary too much in Nigeria. Everyone should learn self control. That lecturer need to learn to keep his eyes of female blossoms.
