Based on the interview given by one of the victims that was kidnapped among those returning from a marriage ceremony. He said comments from the kidnappers who he said were northerners going by their language, show that they have been operating along Lagos-Ibadan Expway for a long time. I mean so many years.

There is nothing wrong with the Yoruba analogy of "Ise kekere, owo pupo". First, let us dissect what it mean. It mean "bountiful rewards from one's modest effort". When you work or do business, at the end the day, you expect to make money. It's just a prayer of blessing for our moderate effort. This doesn't come to everyone. We know there are times we try things in life and multiple goods follow in a way that seem we don't deserve it because we didn't put too much work for it. It's just a prayer of luck. Since the word "Ise" (i.e. work) is included as part of the expression, it mean one is expected to work. So, try to understand it clearly.

Don't get it wrong. No genuine Babalawo will use human for sacrifice for wealth for anybody. There are different professions under the Yoruba spiritual tradition. The culprits are usually the Oniseguns. The Onisegun is the medicine man who has deep knowledge of the art of mixing one natural item or the other to get specific outcome. What is common these days is that the sacred knowledge has fallen into wrong hands, usually the children of original Oniseguns, who are often not well versed as their fathers, and are greedy. They know they shouldn't do it because human parts is never among whats in their knowledge book. But they work on the wrong assumption that human parts will have more efficacy than plants and animal parts.

As an Ifa adherent myself, though not a Babalawo, I know the number of trivial wrongs I must never do which was spelt out to me by Ifa. For example, I must never be vengeful against anyone, meaning if someone does something against me, I simply suck it up and look away. So, how in the world would a spiritual system that preach tolerance, patience, and peace accommodate that high level of evil. No it doesn't. It's because some of our people are evil minded. As Ifa says "Meji meji la da Ile aye" Meaning this is a world of duality, and that every human has a good and evil side. So, these evil people are simply expressing the evil side of their nature because of their greed.

I can only lay the blame on Buhari. Before he became president. Fulani herdsmen killings was only limited to the north. Does he think some vengeful people in the south won't retaliate? Sadly they would at the slightest opportunity. In spite of the cries, fulani herdsmen and bandits still operate in the south. So, it has become tit for tat. The owner of the cow ought to have advised his fulani worker to leave that community much earlier. The fact that he is a herdsman within an SE community makes him a target. Why do they believe thar it's only a fulani that can look after cows? It's like telling the Texan cow owners to start bringing in fulanis to look after their cows. The way we reason in Nigeria is something else.

The Fulanis are not planning to leave power. You think they are as "stupid" as we Yorubas. We often take these folks for granted, like they don't know what they are doing. At best, they will hand it over to another northerner, that guaranty their well-being because other Nigerians may hunt them down once Buhari leave. Expect northerners to emerge for both APC and PDP ticket. It's going to be a drama.

That's the power of a mob. I just hope that mobs in Nigeria avoid fatal lynching of people or suspects. Since this chap is well known to the students as an extortionate, there isn't the possibility that he didn't commit the acts they accused him of. I suspect he got lucky because these are students in higher institution. If it were in the streets outside of the campus, he would have been lynched.

This remind me of couple of guys that pretended to be student back then in the 90s at the University of Ibadan. They would dress and act like students but go about to "obtain" real students on campus. They were members and hit-men of cults groups. There was one in particular that used to always worry me until the point that we more or less became (a not so close) pals. You know those hi-hi pals you keep at a distance with the usual handshakes lacking any form of camaraderie. God knows the kind of adults they became.

Umm, that Buba Marwa has question mark. I don't think he is a rational individual. I have my reason. We want individuals that can make decisions irrespective of religious or ethnic affiliation. Marwa was invited by Ondo State governor to visit an Asian country, I think Indonesia or so, to learn what they are doing there for medical Marijuana production, so that he as the boss of NDLEA can influence policy positively in Nigeria for states like Ondo to take advantage of that. Which mean additional source of foreign revenue. The guy just returned to Nigeria and was "yapping" nonsense. These northerners for the most part cannot detach their thinking cap away from religious influence. And I know religion doesn't tell you to be stupid. It's stupidity that will make you not to use the good things in a plant for beneficial purposes because you assume it will be abused. It means Marwa and other federal government officials are not competent in the first place to be able to put policy and regulations in place because medical Marijuana is not the same thing as the raw plant leaves. It's only an extract from the plant. And in fact it's use locally can be banned, so that its export can go to countries with better laws and regulations if we fear we cannot make effective laws to prevent its abuse. In fact, the government can choose the countries it want it exported to. But these folks are "dead brain". Corruption, ethnicity, and religious zealotry won't let them think rationally. So, Marwa isn't a rational individual. The worse part is that he probably didn't convey his official opinion to the governor that invited him on the trip. He just started yapping nonsense in front of the press. Obi is much better presidential candidate but he need an open minded northerner. Not some crazy sharia-minded individual. This is Nigeria, where only a portion are Muslims and want to live their lives in their own way, not in the way some would profer.

Didn't he sent thugs in 2019 to go and disrupt election proceedings in parts of Lagos where Igbo population was dominant? The Oba of Lagos that made a statement about pushing Igbos into the Lagos Lagoon if they don't vote for Ambode was inspired by Tinubu, his benefactor. This comment is not coming from an Igbo but a Lagos born yoruba. We know everything about that criminal. I can go on and on. From his corrupt role in cornering business proposals initiated through LASG where he would offer the proponent money in return for a share in the company, or is it hundreds of proposals that are targeted at solving problems in specific sectors of the Lagos economy but which cannot go ahead because Lagos officials will tell you "that's Baba territory", meaning it's a no go area inspite of the sufferings experienced by Lagosians in that sector. He cornered Alpha Beta the same way, and there are several others. In fact, I personally know another individual whose business proposal and company he cornered but I can't give too much details here. These are businesses that ought to have provided job opportunities for youths in Lagos. His atrocities are endless. Is it the activities of his family members in Lagos? I can Imagine him handing over oil an bloc to each of his children if he is made president.

You really don't have a clue why things are the way they are in Africa. Having the world cup every two years or every year will not change anything. The people who are the source of the endless problems in Africa are in the western world with their collaborators in power all over Africa. Once a genuine Afrucan leader is selected, they find a way to get him/her kicked out. The people you are assuming to be your savior are your number one enemy.

He should first go and tell France to release the hundreds of billion dollar treasury of francophone countries in its care. Maybe by then these countries will have money to invest in their countries and people won't be running away. Likewise he should tell western banks from accepting money from officials of corrupt countries like Nigeria and others.
