However, I believe your friend is over-reacting. Did she judge the guy based on his expensive ride and wears? Or did she accept the date based on what she believes both of them can have together? If she can sincerely answer these questions, then inherent in the answer is what she needs to do.

Sometime in the past, my husband for no serious reason wanted my househelp to go, he kept insisting and it even led to an argument  with me justifiying all the way. I didnt see her as his type, body structure wise (no curves) or neatness wise (infact this particular girl had a very offensive body odour, i kept buying rollon and perfume for her, i could hardly stand her smell). so my mind did not go to that direction. Not to talk of the ones who are appealing

Because I was so desperate for help and the girl could relatively do her work well i kept giving excuses for her telling him i could manage.

Long and short she had been making passes at the poor man,thats why he kept insisting she should leave. I dont want to go into details, but that episode left me scarred, but thankful for the kind of husband i have. I felt he should have come out plainly to tell me what the matter was, i believe i would have dropped her like hot potatoes

If the maid had been his type, one with curves in the right places, would he have told you? That is the question to ask yourself.
He might have also been driven away by the lady's body odour or general non-prettiness, but can you say the outcome would have been the same if the lady had a better figure, very clean, was homely and making passes at him?

Come to Abuja and see what is happening. 10 litres of fuel being sold at N2,000 last week, right outside a filling station. What rubbish!

So what is the issue there? A man sees petrol being sold at N97 at the fuel station but as he cannot queue, he decides to buy the one in Jerry Can at N2000. He is just paying the man with the Jerry-Can for his abilities to queue on his (the big man) behalf.

If the big man doesn't like it and believes it is too expensive, let him join the queue.

All I can say is "Nature abhors a vacuum". However, I do know some are better at abstaining than others.

DM 6.1 is not made to handle 7.0 OSs, you need a minimum of 6.2 to properly manage the 7 series OS.
As of now, do not download the very latest DM i.e 7.0 as it is ful of bugs. Download 6.2 and you would have a better experience.

Or if you are inclined, download BBSAK 1.7 or BB Boss, though I personally prefer DM.

Yes the phone is in use in Nigeria. It is also being sold in Nigeria though through personal contacts. Not many stores would stock it as it is deemed a collectors item rather than a general purpose phone.

The PlayBooks are available in shops in Nigeria (SLOT, The Mall, Computer Village, etc) however pricing is another issue. I am not sure you can enjoy the current discounts from Nigeria but should you buy online, the 16GB model is $199 (~N32,000)

That is a great advantage of the PlayBook, when bridged with your BB phone, you will have 3G access/internet at no extra costs.

Now back to the thread, can you justify GEJ going to that conference with a 50 delegates when he could have easily sent the Foreign Minister. Imagine, that he went to this Somali conference with officially more delegates than he took to the recent AU summit. So of what importance/benefit is this conference to Nigeria that ensured GEJ committed such resources to it?

My research so far,i discovered about 4 pple were able to revived theirs using this os: 'find a leaked version of 7.0.0.540 (this is a MUST) and install it'
i downloaded d OS it didnt work for me.
am always stucked at re-connecting to JVM.Can't go further

Honsule, follow this process and I am sure your 9900 would come alive again.
1. Download and install the the Desktop Manager version 6.2
2. Install any of the 7.0 OSs that is higher than the stock OS onto your PC locally.
3. Start DM
4. Re-boot your Phone and while it is on the JVM screen, connect it to the computer via USB
5. On the DM screen, It would display 'Inability to communicate with device'
6. Select UPGRADE to install the local OS onto the phone.

if the phones come with warranty from america, then the warranty should cover it in nigeria.
if the phone gets damaged in nigeria. . . .the buyer would have to contact the seller, have the phone shipped back to america, get it replaced and sent back to nigeria.

All these shipping costs at buyers expense because of 1% savings!

How would the warranty you are touting work seeing as you are not an authorised BlackBerry reseller? Would you replace a bricked 9900 with a brand new one?

Mr man, at least ascribe some intelligence to me, please. All you have said are assumptions and they patently false. My husband hardly uses his phone to ping, sms, etc, just for calls. With the battery issue, he had to reduce the calls. He has not paid for BIS for 2 months now cos it is useless to him as the internet browser does not open cos it says it is low on memory. I am the one that has a fully loaded appsworld with low memory but its a 9700. Just the fact that the phone is on from morning till whenever, the battery runs down. He bought the phone in US and even bought a replacement battery in US but still no deal. We both hate that phone with a passion.

Hmmm, you've really had a bad experience with that particular phone. It is possible that you got a bad one with major defects, that however does not make the entire 9780 line bad. So many others are having a splendid experience with it.

You might want to investigate what is eating up the memory, sometimes, it is a rougue application that had mistakenly been installed initially. That phone might be 'phoning home' you know!

I use a Samsung GT P1000 that runs Android 2.3.3 My brightness setting (on a 7inch screen) is on auto which means its at 100% whenever I'm in bright places. My bluetooth is on continuously as it is connected to my bt earpiece, I have whatsapp, IM+, Avast antivirus, email, facebook, linkedin and at least 10 other background apps working throughout. I currently have 13 tabs open on my web browser as I type this post. My GPS is permanently on and still get over a day's worth of battery life.
How can you defend the 9780 that hardly gives a full day's use even when 80% of the phone's features are not in use? Accept the fact that RIM made a poor phone in the 9780.
One more thing, please disabuse your mind of the fact that phone manufacturers don't make bad phones because they always do. That's why we get firmware updates to correct phone OS issues. The hardware issues, well you just have to live with that. If even Apple could make the iphone 4 which had the antennaegate issue, and Nokia made the N97 mini with shitty battery and performance, every manufacturer can make mistakes.

My guy, Na wa for you o! These guys are talking about phones with maximum of 1500mAh rating and you come in to mention a tablet with 4000mAh rating! That your tablet lasted only a day is a testament to what coogar is saying as you've got too mnay things running.

On a tablet, it is good, but on a phone-it is disaster.
