HAH: We wrote our final exams in 1999 and even some result came out 1999 but the university senate did not sit to approve our degrees until February 2000, even me I always tell people I graduated 1999 but my certificate was approved 2000, we went to service July 2000 and passed July 2001 but the service year was 99-2000 as clearly written on our certificates Thanks for providing clarity, and I am quite impressed that you also posted a picture of the discharge certificate. Thanks for clearing my doubts. |

HAH: I served same year with him, our service year was 99-2000 but it was held from July 2000-June 2001, and is clearly written on our certificate, this delay was caused by ASUU strikes At the Bold portion of your statement, for you to serve in 1999 - 2000, which could then be delayed to commence from July 2000, this would imply that you graduated in 1999! Isn't that correct? So did you also graduate in 1999 or 2000? |

ZoneBslayer: same here, I haven't had a need for my original certificate yet, my statement of result has sufficed for now..and I am a bit confused about the argument here, is it that one can't be in an Nysc camp before the official graduation/convocation day? cuz I know it was the case with my set. we were already in camp before our graduation day. You can graduate in 1999 and be in camp in 1999 but do convocation in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 or 2004, however, your year of graduation still remains 1999. Your year oi graduation is not the year the convocation ceremony took place but the year you qualified to be awarded the degree. |

datribune: I'm not talking about religion but morals. Religious people aren’t always more moral or righteous than nonbelievers – indeed, religions have inspired wars, inquisitions & seemingly endless prejudice. While religion could be a shackle, morals motivates, informs & instills in us, a sense of right & wrong. I believe u would rather hav a moral than an amoral leader. What u look for in a good leader is morals. Unfortunately, what is morals? Morals is just the culture of the people at a certain point in time. There was a time when it wasn't morally wrong to kill twins; when it wasn't morally wrong to have slaves. Morals therefore ain't nothing when people are at the point of losing things. Also, what one religion considers morally wrong can be accepted by another, thus morals isn't a basis for electing a President. However, morals could be a person's basis for choosing a particular candidate over another. Every one should be allowed to make their free choices. |

safarigirl: what the Bleep? Tue most votes are gotten by popularity. Is it not numbers that are broken down into percentages?
5,000 votes of 10k is the highest Then 3,000 Then 2,000
The HM with the LEAST NUMBER leaves, the person with the MOST NUMBER wins. It is straightforward, not so? Is it not then by popularity? Is there an electoral college?
Like I said, DENSE Efe fans will not understand such things. You are one of them You're too fixated on Efe fans that you aren't allowing yourself the freedom to think. You failed to comprehend that guy's comparison and I tried to show you, but I guess you're too far gone on the hatred lane. There are 538 Electoral Votes available, wouldn't the person that wins the Presidency be the one with the MOST votes out of the 538? If you read up on the US Election regulations as you advised that guy, you'd know the electoral college did exactly what it is designed for: to prevent the tyranny of the populous states. |

safarigirl: Trump did not win POPULARITY votes, he won ELECTORAL college votes. He was NOT the Popular candidate and so did not win votes by a MAJORITY. Your comparison has a major flaw that you and the other dense Efe supporters will not know because you are not attuned to world politics or any other thing that is not within your locale
Why don't you go and learn how voting is done in the American society before you come here and ATTEMPT to sound intelligent? Maybe, IF the US Elections had been about popular votes, then we wouldn't be discussing the elections. There was a price to be won, the road to it was winning the MOST Electoral college votes, and Trump nailed that down. BBNaija is not a popularity vote, it is about getting the most votes from the Voting lines (SMS & WeChat). Many may love you and you'd be popular BUT if they don't vote, you'd be going home empty-handed. |

One can not in good conscience not do dat. When you realize that the position of President is not the same as General Overseer of a religious organization, then you'd know that morals, is not the only criteria for choosing a President. Morals and Religion could be shackles, the blessings of God is with many countries that are not Christian. |

BERNIMOORE: shut up, this thread treated the issue and exposed buhari's forged certificate worse than that of Dino https://www.nairaland.com/3701512/buharis-waec-certificate-vs-dino/5
The Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier-General Olajide Laleye, who said the army has been inundated with request for the General’s credentials, added that it was only in possession of a letter from the Principal of the Provincial Secondary School, Kastina, recommending Buhari as fit for military commissioning in 1960.
Buhari Certificate: Army Deny Possession Of WASC He said that the Army also have in its possessions Nigerian Army Form 199A where the General indicated after commissioning that he obtained credits in four subjects and a pass in another. However, it is not in possession of a certificate to prove same.
In the document passed around to journalists for sighting, the letter reads in part; “I recommend him fit for military commissioning, I consider that he will pass the WASC examination in English, Math and three other subjects.” how can ''i consider he will pass'' repace a statement of result? At least Dino there is evidence for Dino passing his SSCE
http://www.channelstv.com/2015/01/20/army-deny-possession-buharis-wasc-certificate/
Buhari enters Army 'only on presumed recommendation' Never was his result sighted or any evidence that he passed his Exams'
here is a copy of compromised reccomendation replacing Buhari statement of result So many undergraduates enter the University with what is termed "Awaiting Results", you would then have up till 2nd Semester to present your result or be kicked out. How is "Awaiting Result" any different from “I recommend him fit for military commissioning, I consider that he will pass the WASC examination in English, Math and three other subjects.” ? |

Even when he could not even continue due to his inability to ?
I am not interested in the uniform wearing issues my arguments are on whether he can refuse to retire, can he refuse to retire even when he is due for retirement? What is the retirement age for the President or a Minister, a Governor or Special Assistant? So long as they are in the job through elections or by appointment of an elected official, there is no age limit. Only persons answerable to the Public Service Commission have retirement ages. |

gypsey: And why would he refuse to Resign? If the rule of law says he is past retirement age. Is he planning to die in the job? I think he should retire and give young people a chance. You don't think?
This is the problem in Nigeria, when any body gets into a government position they behave as if the own that position and would not give way for other citizens when they are due for retirement. they want to die in the job. Bros, there is a difference between PUBLIC SERVANT and CIVIL SERVANT. Col Hameed Alli is NOT a CIVIL SERVANT as he is not in the employment of the Federal Civil Service commission. The President is the Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces, yet he is not a Civil Servant and he does not have to wear any service uniform. The National Assembly is populated with people of little education. The money they should have used to employ legal aides or paralegals, they are using for runz, otherwise anybody sound person would have told them they are on a looonnng thing.. |

Maduawuchukwu: Oga Sir Kainji was never the only one producing power! We can have national grids and state grid too! I see no reason why a state should invest it's own money in power generation and it will then send it to the national grid, it makes mockery of the effort of the states and does not allow serious states to move forward be it a nothern state or southern one. I had explained to you why there is a need for the National Grid. Once again, there is nothing stopping any state from generating power for teh state as there is no law that states the power must be evacuated to the National Grid. There is no other means of evacuating this particular power except through the National Grid. Has the presence of Federal Universities make mockery of the state universities, has Unity Schools made mockery of state schools? |

If every state were allowed to generate their own power, constant electricity would have being a thing of the past. When it was only Kainji Dam producing power for the nation, did you ask for the decentralization? OK, where should Ebonyi get power from? Or even Anambra? BTW, all the states of the federation are allowed to generate their own power! We will still need the National Grid to take advantage of excess capacity produced by any state as well as need it to enable intervention. Without the National grid, if Alaoji in Abia state is down or under going maintenance, how would the people of Abia State now get electricity if their is no National grid? |
