Can it be because Borno State alone is THREE TIMES bigger than the entire South East!.

So you can imagine the size of that North that you are trying to compare to the South East.
CrimeRe: Man Parked His Car In Bank Premises In Edo, When He Came Out, He Saw This by Akainzo(m): 3:39pm On May 02, 2019

The Bank is not liable.
For example if rubbers attack a bank and a customer is on a queue to deposit cash, as long as the cash hasn’t exchange hand and gotten to the tellers position- I.e the cash is still with the customer when the armed rubbers snatched it, the Bank isn’t liable.

The Bank is only liable on duty of care, which has to do with bodily harm to the customer within its premises as a result of a fault from the Banks end such as bad facility, or collapsed building, electric shock etc

These Car could have been packed outside the Bank and not within.

As someone said, hide your valuables where it cannot be seen, so it doesn’t attract criminals.

Plus if you’re driving from one Bank to another, I.w you withdraw from one bank to deposit at a near by bank, be extra cautious when leaving your car. I’m speaking from experience!
This is NOT totally correct and contravenes what has already been decided by the Supreme Court of Nigeria!

The Bank, Hotel or any concern becomes liable for the loss of property in their care once you can establish that they created the atmosphere of care even if the put the sign of being at Owners Risks.

If the Bank, Hotel or Business has a gate into its premises guarded by a security personnel, then they become liable once you drive in as a customer and park within the confine of that area that they superintend.

If the Bank, Hotel or Business issues you a Tag, Receipt or any Proof of Parking within its premises, then they become liable once you drive in as a customer and park within the confine of that area that they superintend. (NOTE: This does not apply to PUBLIC CAR PARKS where the payment is to the City/LGA or State.)

Stop displaying your ignorance here, it's nauseating. Because you read the NJC is an executive body under the federal government of Nigeria, you concluded it was under the executive arm of government. Did you also read where it was stated that it's role was to protect the judiciary against excesses from the Executive arm? How then is it under it?

I know say English nor be our language. Na lack of comprehension dey worry you grin

By the NJC being an executive body, 'executive' there means a person or group of persons having administrative or supervisory authority in an organization. So for the NJC to be an executive body, it plays an administrative and supervisory role over the judiciary. It is totally independent of the Executive arm of government
All that you've written above is just a display of ignorance, The Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is clear, the NJC is a Federal Executive body. It's role might be to protect the judiciary or play administrative roles but it is still an executive body.

Is it restructuring that will change your mindset, or you just simply love the mantra? You can make the change for accountability by asking the right questions of the people CLOSER to you that currently receive the funds to run your affairs.

She also revealed she didn't even know Atiku could speak English, talk less of seriously discuss policy issues.

She described Atiku and Peter Obi as men of relative integrity who are ready to sacrifice for us all.

The candidate isn't worth the ballot INEC has the party logo printed on. The candidate and the party just wanted an avenue to receive or make money.

The CBN Governor is under the executive arm of government and he reports to the president so this is totally different.

Is the CJN answerable to the president or the judicial arm of government?

Can a Judge sack a president without a lawsuit?

Why should a president be able to sack a judge without ratification by the senate?

Is Buhari not a tyrant indeed?
Go and read the Constitution, it is not about who they report to, it is about the Constitutional provision for removal which requires 2/3 majority of the senate to approve.

In both cases, the Senate Approval were not sought and the office occupiers were suspended.
PoliticsRe: Does The President Have The Constitutional Power To Suspend The Chief Justice? by Akainzo(m): 6:35pm On Jan 25, 2019
socialmediaman:
Does the President have the power to suspend the Chief Justice of Nigeria? Does the president have the exclusive right to hire and fire without constitutional provisions to be fulfilled?

Here is what the constitution says:
just like in the case of Justice Ayo Salami and then CBN Governor, Sanusi, which the law stipulates that the President cannot remove without the approval of the Senate, the past administration under Goodluck successfully SUSPENDED both and was backed by the Attorney General of the federation, The Chief Justice of the Federation and the NASS Leadership that "Suspension" is NOT THE SAME as" Removal"!

So let anyone complaining take a cue from the above.

Yes, the President has no powers to remove the CJN, but the Constitution does not say the President cannot suspend the CJN.

Imagine how democracy in lagos state has turned out to be.

In 2018, N1.4trillion was the budget of only lagos state, while the whole Nigeria budget was N8.6trillion for 36 states.

Seriously, there should be no reason why lagos should have a single bad road. What did they use all that money for?
Bros, the federal budget of ₦8.6Trillion of 2018 is how much the Federal Government plans to spend.

It does not include how much the other 36 States that make up the federation will also spend.

Thus the comparison of the Lagos budget to that of the FGN as if to the federation is faulty. To do what you planned, you'd have to add that FGN budget with all the other 35 State's budgets.
PoliticsRe: Dogara: Trader Moni Is Direct Vote Buying by Akainzo(m): 2:10pm On Dec 10, 2018
The key question to ask Dogara and Saraki who are going about saying that the TradrMoni scheme is vote buying are simple:

1. Was the SIPG program of the Federal Government in the National Budget?
2. Was the SIPG scheme and the budget provision scrutinized and debated by the National Assembly?
3. Was the scheme and budget in the Approved 2018 National Budget?
4. When the NASS debated and scrutinized the scheme and passed it, what did they believe the project was meant for?

Since both Saraki and Dogara passed the budget, does it imply they actually ACTIVELY supported the vote buying since they were in APC back then or was it that they saw it as a worthwhile intervention to support the lowly SMEs within the country.

BTW, if the Federal Government were to start work on the failed portion of the Port Harcourt - Aba Expressway and resurface it to help movement, who amongst us would say they shouldn't do it close to elections as it would sway the road users to vote for the APC as the Govt in power for alleviating their stress?

Nothing in politics is a RIGHT! All you have is the priviledge to contest, and not a right to a second term.

Every politician has a privilege to contest for a ticket to enable run for a second term in office, being in office as the incumbent does not automatically convert that privilege to a right.

If you supported it when Obama endorsed Hillary Clinton, or when the Super Delegates endorsed Hillary Clinton, don't be a mumu and start castigating Tinubu for not supporting Amabode. Super delegates are the same as party chieftains in Nigeria. if you aren't going to refer to them as Godfathers, please allow Tinubu to exercise his right of choice in any political contest.

LaudableXX:
Don't mind them. angry Majority of those jumping up and down on this thread, do not know the first thing about telecoms firms, or the way they operate. When it comes to Mobile Switching Centres (MSC) for example, it is the big telco infrastructure companies like Motorola, Ericsson and Siemens that play in this field. They are the OEMs. MTN does not manufacture one single pole, modem, RF radio or antennae for its operations.

These telco infrastructure firms bring in the equipment, sell it to MTN, Airtel, Glo and co, and then maintain it for a stipulated number of years. sad And they all have offices and warehouses in Lagos. So how can govt tell us that their Federal Ministry of Finance officials all over the federation, as well as tax authorities at federal and state level, including Nigerian Customs Services turned a blind eye to the fact that MTN was not paying taxes and import duties, for 10 whole years?!! shocked Haba! Make dem dey lie, small-small nah!

If what govt is saying is actually true, then every senior staff of the Ministry of Communications, as well as Ministry of Finance, including FIRS and Customs, from the level of director upwards, should be sacked with immediate effect! They have failed woefully in this regard! angry
Bros, cool down and read to actually understand business and not the telecomms equipment structures.
Even though MTN is not the OEM for the telecomms equipment, it is actually MTN that imports them into the country. Siemens does not bring its equipment to keep on stores for buyers to come, the business that need them do the imports. The same operates in all other businesses. Toyota does not bring its cars to Nigeria, all Toyotas are IMPORTED by a particular business, either by an end user or a company in car retail business.

It is very much possible to import things into Nigeria and not pay the right import duties due to CORRUPTION. Even our own Senate President imported a car and didn't want to pay duties, how much more a company that has the resources to bribe customs personnel. So long as the crime has not gone beyond the statute of limitations, it can be prosecuted and recovered.

Fraud is uncovered daily across the world. If you follow football, Messi, Ronaldo and Mourinho have been charged with underpaying taxes as well. It is only when reconciliations are done that underpayments are discovered, and the discovery of one instance could lead to further digging that would uncover a culture of such underpayments.

The ONLY time that White Paper Card was used for voting in Nigeria, was the 2011 elections that brought in Goodluck Jonathan, it was organised by GEJ a PDP President, and at that time, almost all the states in the North had PDP Governors.

It is therefore safe to say, it was PDP that registered under aged voters!

With the proper implementation of PVC and improvements in the Card Readers, the issue of rigging has been virtually eliminated.

Politicians now need to buy votes because it is only votes casted that counts. The era of writing results without voting is now over.

PDP would be found out in this election and 2019 elections and I hope political commentators would now start to appreciate numbers and their implications.

Now you lose because people didn't vote for you.

Mandynews:
This brings us to Nigeria Air, the latest iteration in the list of national air carriers. Like its name, the logo is a sort of reworking of elements from the previous air carriers. The design is more minimal that its predecessors, featuring a ribbon bearing the green-white-green colors of the national flag fluttering in the wind. If you are attentive there is an optical illusion. A white dot on the ribbon, is an eye and the ribbon flutters into the shape of an eagle. Representing a distinctively Nigerian but more functional and streamlined service..

This time, FROM6, an advertising agency from Bahrain, was in charge of design. In the Nigerian Air video debut, they describe it as one that will “take the country to new heights under our common symbol of pride – Nigeria Air.” Unlike past designs, Nigeria Air includes a tagline “bringing Nigeria closer to the world”.

Source: http://mandynews.com/2018/07/20/the-nigeria-air-logo-was-designed-by-from6/
Strangely, nowhere in this write up or from the source did anything point to it being designed by the said FROM6 other than the statement made in the story.

Why should I believe that the logo was designed by the said FROM6 and not by another firm, Nigerian or foreign?

PoliticsRe: June 12: Tinubu, Fayemi Rejected Renaming Of UNILAG After Abiola (Throwback) by Akainzo(m): 1:44pm On Jun 14, 2018
ehissi:
And let me guess, Buhari consulted widely with the people who partook of the june 12 struggle - like Mayegun who is wondering why Baba Kingibe, who dumped and sold out MKO Abiola and served as a minister twice under Abacha was honoured alongside Abiola - or the leaders of NADECO that are wondering why they weren't in on the whole award ceremony where only some of their recommendations were carried out.

Or the former Chief Justice of Nigeria and Chairman of the 2016 National Honours Committee, Justice Alfa Belgore, who is wondering why a dead man is given a post-humous award that the law only permits to be given to the living without even consulting him.

There is such a thing as giving a dog a bad name just so you can hang it. There is also such a thing as dressing up a donkey in jewels just so you can crown it.........

For the price of a pot of porridge, some Nigerians have done both, the height of the madness was Abiola's daughter apologising to Buhari at the event.

At that point, I knew that I have seen it all. But then again, I wasn't surprised, after all she is a card carrying member of the APC. They have become birds of the same feather, after all Tony Anenih was also a members of the SDP during the june era, it's not a new something.

Today they say re-Naming UNILAG as MAULAG was an attack on UNILAG, it was never meant to honour Abiola - even though it is in line with the recommendations of the Chairman of the National Honours Committee - but Awarding GCFR to Abiola post-humously is not - even when it violates the law of the land - here we see a people selling their destiny for the price of a pot of porridge......
Just to correct you misinformation, the Ex-CJN Alfa Belgore was the Chairman of the National Honours Committee in 2014! He was Chairman of the committee that awarded Sani Abacha, the man who jailed Abiola, a GCFR. When he was recommending that award, was Abacha alive or was it Abacha that collected the award while he, belgore, was clapping when GEJ announced the award at the ceremony?

Now that same Belgore has suddenly remembered a provision in the Act, while ignoring that of Paragraph 3 Section 3 that was validly observed in 2014. Politics does actually make people become stupid.

And to address you on the issue of Unilag, just to be open, I am a Unilag Alumni. The reason we rejected the renaming that GEJ sought to do were 2:

1. Legal: The University of Lagos was set up by an Act of Parliament and it's name is in Section 2 of that law. To change the name of Unilag, that law would have to be amended by the National Assembly.
2. Brand: Entities can be defined by their names which can become the brand overtime. The name "Unilag" has become a brand, a brand that all alumnus of the school are tethered to. Breaking that bond would not be tolerated as it can only detract from the history of the institution.

Hope you are now more enlightened as to how politics and governance can be muddled up by incompetent persons trying to please a President.
