On one fateful afternoon I left my house to cut my hair, on getting to the entrance some guys there were playing in a rough manner accidentally I was hit via body contact and my phone fell down from my hand and the screen broke.
instantly the boys apologised and I gave up.. A man that was very close to there said the screen broke for a purpose that certainly God will provide a better one for me(what I don't like to hear in such scenario)
I politely reply him that I don't Believe in his theory because I don't need to believe in any imaginary God before I forgive my fellow human being. Unbelievably the man started looking me asif I am not a human being.the man said Imaginary god? I said "Yes" am I not a Christian? "Yes ", Muslim? "No" traditionalists? "No" what are you then? just a humanist. so I briefly expatiate on what I mean by that.so you don't believe in existence of God? Yes because I have never seen a concrete evidence to believe. The man sigh and said he would disown me if you are one of my children. Really?
So I observed that the man was still looking me in an annoying way(who cares?) so I faced my business.
Due to my current mood I was unable to wait for my turn because 3 people were ahead of me to barb so I decided to go and come back.
On getting there, Only one person remained so I have to wait. While waiting the same man walk up to me and angrily told me that if I don't want god to punish me even down to my offspring I shouldn't utter such statement again I replied him by saying he should keep that intimidating speech for is fellow religious folks. The man got more angry and raise an alarm by calling the passers-by to come and see the person that said God does not exist, at the arrival of those people I felt so embarrassed, and they started calling me all sorts of wicked name including a fool, not that only I was also bombard with numerous expected questions like:
who brought you to this earth? I answered them by saying "I was not brought but I was given birth" another question If I die where am I going? I honourably answer them by saying" I will go back to where I was before birth" which place? I don't know!! beside, why is it necessary to know where am going when I don't know where I came from? And some other ridiculous questions are: what is responsible for rainfall?
Why is there day and night?
How did I grew up to this my current stage?
Who created the heaven and earth?etc.
What surprised me most was when the shop owner chase me out of his shop branding me as a satanic weapon (meanwhile I don't even believe in existence of satan too)
After all these I became angry too and I told them that all what they are doing or saying is really abnormal and they shouldn't take it personal, because everyone has freedom of expression they should also leave me for their god, to face the consequences of my statement, so all what they are doing is irrelevant.At the time of speaking a street guy even holding cigarette ,heard about this to my surprise he took it to the next level by coming up with an action to engage in physical combat with me, imagine only me at the midpoint of those religious fanatics. To cut the story short when I discovered they've started showing excessive grievance I stylishly work away from the area to avoid further problems.
As a result of what happened have decided not to share my thought openly to avoid being stigmatised. Hmmmmm Nigerians are so religious

I remember one useless guy that tried it with me when i was in ss1, he just entered d bus and started forming sleep. I kept my school bag on my laps and rested it on my chest. D guy brought his hand cuz d bag was covering him na. I quickly removed by bag and eyed him....so he also removed his hands.

I have had more than one experience with those stupid perverts. When I was younger and naïve, I will try to shift my body away from their reach or look for a way to leave there cause it was embarrassing to me but as I grew older, I realized that they were the ones who should be embarrassed and I never hesitate to make a scene. I'll share two of them;
Experience 1:
Happened at Yaba market, the market was crowdy and the unfortunate being was behind me, he grabbed my butt and immediately I turned and saw it was a guy, I held his collar and rained insults on him. I didn't hesitate to tell people that asked what happened cause he was the one to be ashamed of his deed and not me. The Yoruba women around rained insults on him in their dialect and pleaded with me to leave him. I left but a crowd of old women gathered around him, raining insults on him.
Experience 2 :
It happened in a bus, the bus was a little tight and the slowpoke was sitting behind me with his hand stretched forward leaning against the window by my side. I felt tiny movements around my boob region and I shifted, it happened about three times and when I was sure that it was not a mistake, I turned back and hurled insults at him, I narrated everything that happened to the passengers and my voice must have been so loud cause I was on my earpiece and they were all staring at him after the narration. The guy who was huge felt so embarrassed, I could see it on his face, he bent his face downwards and placed his two hands in between his legs.
This is to everyone who feel ashamed to report a molestor, its their shame and not yours, stop covering their crime at your detriment.

Bottom line is, just as you ladies get irritated when men get handsy, some of us also do. Just beware, lest in your hurry to show how snobbish you are to people who as much as graze your hair, you come across someone like me. Or ignorantly humiliate someone who was probably trying to get your enormous handbag off his lap or get your weave on out of his face. You ladies have no idea how irritating it is when you board public vehicles then your fake (sometimes stinking) hair starts whipping into peoples mouths, or you flick it like a horse tail. Don't even get me started on the sacks you call bags that you prance around with and all the multiple knickknacks you carry with you. Sometimes I sigh in exasperation when I'm about to board a vehicle and I see the only available seat is beside a lady. You girls can be really irritating

I don't want to wait till he sacks me, I have no plan *b* and am thinking of dropping my resignation letter before he sacks me.

My dear, follow your heart. Same thing happen to me 2014 i ended up doing the job of the security and the cleaners and my boss wasn't still satisfied i was so frustrated. He will complain the cleaners were lazy and the securities were lazy because i was in charge of them. I went to him and ask him what he really wanted them to do because those guys were working really hard. They got angry and left the job and i ended up doing their jobs but he was still nagging, i was receiving query from the head office almost every week. And other staff kept complaining about him. I RESIGN now i have peace. Don't allow anyone make you feel useless and worthless. You are more than that.

@ op I feel ur pain cos am going tru same right now.... Am d manager where I work yet my boss insult n even slapped me front of my colleagues one day...yes I wrote it right "slapped" for talking back at him...yet am still enduring..just today he threatened not to pay me dis month for buying fuel everyday which everyone knows d situation on fuel right now..am so pained though I plan resigning anytime soon

I experienced something worse than this in Edo State Civil Service(ministry of transport) by a retired Military man named Major Oloye whom governor Adams Oshiomole illegally installed as a permanent secretary(a position met 4 level 15/16 & a master or ph.d holder in civil service), where I was working as a level 8 step 3 for 3yr in d civil service. Within two months d man was posted to our ministry, he forced us out of d office to be controlling traffic on d road from 8am-4pm daily. No shifting or resting. I was issued two queries & one warning in a week(one for putting hands in my pocked which was not true, second for leaving my duty post to urinate & eat, & warning 4 no reason). At times, d man will issue 12 or 8 people queries per day for no genuine reason. I escaped accident twice at ring road when I was controlling traffic. I applied to get d job as Higher Technical Officer, not traffic control. I am a Mechanical Engineer. I got d job as a graduate, but d man & his aids said they have no regard 4 graduates since many graduates in Nigeria are without job or receiving peanut(10 -15k per month). D man employed two agbero(motor park tauts) to head us in controlling traffic. I tendered my letter of resignation after receiving my salary 4 that month(November 2015) without plan B. I have rest of mind now.

see, all you guys saying endure is admirable. I endured for a long while until I realised enduring opens doors for more insults. It exposes you in ways that are demeaning and gives you a personality of a peasant. during the period of my enduring, I was made to come to work on sat and sometimes on sun. officially 6pm is the closing time, but I can never remember the time I closed lower than 9pm and I stay in ejigbo all the way from VI. I was abused like a child with no future and even started doing some things that were not related to my job description like picking up my MD food, paying her utilities bill...... all because of endurance and I want to keep my job. see, there is a red line... let them know once its passed you out of the door. if not, when they see how important you need this job and can't survive without it, you will be treated worse than a slave.
I don't need to also tell you how it affected my relationship with people and the psychological damage I encountered. still recuperating tho.
