Hello Guys, Got 3rd refusal today based on financial grounds. I provided 3rdbparty sponsor and made 9k tuition.deposit. Though the sponsor provided me with funds in my account 8m, which sat in my account since sept 2020. thats like a year. My gcms notes received last week stated that I have enough funds but VO raised concern over relationship with sponsor. I immediately sent webform 10th sept with evidence of relationship but not sure it was updated before final decision.
I intend to reapply but I want to know if I can now claim self sponsor since the over 1 yr fund of 8m still in my acc and already deposited 9k tuition to school since last sept. or should I fill my sponsor as co-sponsor this time around?
Any advice please. |

April 7 applicant. GCMS report received 10th Sept. Pre Assessment complete with Review Recommended. last update indicates 20th July 2021. Eligibility started since July 16.
No BVL or PPR till date.
Sent several emails and webforms to Nairobi with only one response stating Application under review by officer.
Now that they have started issuing June applicants, what should I do? |

Congrats Sir.. Pls which email did you send to? Daylight23: Good morning everyone. My PPR dropped this morning.
It appears the application had been approved already because few minutes after sending an email to the Nairobi office, the PPR dropped. Till now my Eligibility has not started, just shows final decision as approved. So sending mails may help.
Submitted Application May 17th Upfront Medicals July 22nd Correspondence letter and PPR August 27th
- A former colleague stood as my sponsor and gave her statement - I included nothing showing personal assets (been out of work for over a year, so no bank statement) - I am going for a PhD program (fully funded) - I applied with my spouse (still awaiting his PPR)
God is able! Thank you for all the information on this page! |

How can I get the email of MP of Centennial College Ontario? Pls help... This wait is annoying IntimidationJay: this is new! Cos I had emailed the MP of my school and the assistant responded in less than 10 mins asking for my details which I shared with him, he responded 20mins later telling me that he has sent an inquiry to IRCC and if I don’t get an email from him in 2days I should follow up. The next day I got my PPR, two days after I got a response from him saying that My study permit was approved since June 25th but I got PPR on July 16th. I think the email from the MP reminded IRCC to issue my PPR. |

—I paid my full tuition for the entire program, it’s a one year course.
—I started my first semester on May 27 2021. I raised a webform & also emailed Nairobi & Lagos visa office my enrollment verification and proof that i am halfway through my first semester on 2nd of June.
—Something weird happened, on the 23rd of July 2021, a day after my medicals, i got a call from Deputy high commision of Canada in Lagos, the lady told me she was calling to ask if i had done my medicals. I was so confused because i had never heard of anyone that was called by them.
—I’m so glad i got approved, i was nervous at first because i have family ties in Canada and i also stated in my SOP that i will be staying with my relative during the period of my study. I also have an ongoing PR application so dual intent actually works! |

hmmmm.. For a minute was gonna say you are even lucky.. Just one reason which seemed more like you didnt tidy your Proof of funds properly... In my opinion, You have a chance if you can address this very quickly.. There nothing God cannot do.. Someone today shared a testimony just this morning that he re-applied July 6th 2021, after his first refusal and miraculously He got his PPR today... So believe God can still do wonders even before the Fall semester commences Sept.. All I will advice is reapply and do a very strong LOE (Letter of Explanation) centered more on your financial situation to be able to sustain your self while in Canada. Who is your the Sponsor? Family or Self?, How long was the funds available in the Account you used? IS the funds still in the account? Did you send your MyBankStatement slip? Did you pay any school fees? What is your story? Employed, Self-employed? etc? LoadedHollow: the thing is I’ve already finished my first year for me to even reconsider another country |

It shall be to our favour. Amen Nuve: From what I gather, first week of April applicants, non-NSE route had their eligibility started around the same time ish (July 14-16). I applied on April 5, non-nse route, and had eligibility started on that day also. It might also mean applicants from that time frame would receive their PPR around the same time. Make we just dey watch and wait. |

TundeTheHunter: It seems like you should ignore the NSE request and allow for regular student visa processing. Please note that using NSE doesn't give you a better chance of being approved than the regular study visa route, it only gives quicker processing time. Someone who uses NSE could still get denied, he/she would just get denied quicker. Someone using the regular route can still get approved, it would just take longer. Thank you for your advise |

TundeTheHunter: Or you could write the IELTS again and submit NSE I just got a letter from IRCC today that I qualify for NSE and I should submit IELTS and Mystatement of Acc . I'm confused as the IELTS is low band 5 but my account is adequate. Even if I choose to write a new IELTS I dont want to do computer based cos that affected me the last time and the next available IELTS written exam at MOD abuja is about 4weeks away which by then I wont be able to meet up with the request deadline.. PLEASE, should I ignore the request for NSE and allow them proceed normally or I must supply the requested info. Secondly, if I ignore, can that affect final decision? HELP |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by akoko123: 6:18pm On Apr 17, 2021 |
TundeTheHunter: Any degree, diploma or certificate qualifies for NSE. The minimum IELTS score required for NSE is a 6.0 in each of the 4 categories. You do not need to include an IELTS report for a regular study permit application, so why include it all? I think you should just leave it out since you are not applying via NSE. I havent submitted it at all.. I will leave it out thanks. |

LadyBlaq: Let me ask this funny question please. The Visa fee is 235 CAD right? Yes?
I used my USD card for payment and I thought the Canadian dollar equivalent will be deducted, say about 188USD but I got a debit of 235 USD.
Isn't this strange? Someone help me out here please? I recently paid my study visa fee of 150 cad with a dollar card . I simply deposited 120 USD in the card and payment was successful. not sure why u were debited that way oo.. Call your bank |

hello every one. I applied for a study permit for a college diploma in toronto. I have my admission letter already and the school didnt require an IELTS. I know college diploma does not qualify for NSE however I recently did the IELTS but scored low with Band 5. would it be dangerous to include a Band 5 ielts result in my visa application even though its not NSE? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by akoko123: 11:04am On Mar 19, 2021 |
Testimonytime: I believe you and Ayokaq are refused for same purpose which is because you have applied for ordinary diploma ( my thought). I understand why you had to apply for ordinary diploma because we are in a closely related profession ( mine is culinary management) but it looks like the VO cannot just understand reason for an ordinary diploma after a degree. I was advised by gurus here to apply for pgd which I did and surprisingly, through God’s grace, I got admission without prior formal education in the field. I am still waiting for my PPR which I believe God is working out for me. In the course of my research I discovered pgd in food that people in pastry and food can apply for. Though, your SOP will have to be tailored fully in line with some of the courses as you are into baking and pastry. I think you should PM me if you are interested we can check schools for pgd and work on the SOP together, time is limited, but with God, you can still meet up with May. What God cannot do does not exist. I hope Ayokaq is reading this, I believe God will help us to find a way. Thank you. I will do that |

Lekiboboe: I understand, but unfortunately, the Visa Officer ain't seeing it that way.
You did well by mentioning your first degree cos if u didn't, you would still be found out cos many things won't add up about your profile & it will easily go against your intentions of going to study in Canada e.g Educational Gap (not mentioning u had a degree), Age etc.
You just have to address/tackle your refusal reasons on your GCMS notes by going for a PG program, anything you do outside the bolded VO's comment on your GCMS notes would be wrong, cos they will easily make reference to it.
Hopefully someone in the same field as yours I'm this forum can guide & share his/her experience with you. thank you so much |

Await more inputs from the gurus about this Thank you again. I have looked at the suggestions but my issue here is that those other courses wont give me what I really need to advance my Baking Business practically.. I am not just interested in having another certificate that has no practical use for me.. Was it wrong to have been honest to mention my first degree in my first application because at this stage of my life that first degree is a mere paper as I have no use for it. Im trying to build a new career path here and I just feel I need to be able to tell my story right thats all and not just jumping ships. Or is this approach simply impossible? |
