Wait let me show you an summary of an article on decree 34. The problem with you guys is that you don't read at all. That is why people like you reinforce the statement that to hide anything from a black man put it in a book.

Summary of decree 34 is that regions will be called group of provinces(which is what the regions are) now military governor cannotnincur expenditure without approval. Note that statement, decree 34 didn't take away the revenue sharing powers of the regions. Decree 34 centralised the federal and regional civil service to be subject to the military Council or the permanent secretary. The only lacuna there is the merging of the civil service. In hindsight decree 34 still kept the revenue framework of the regions and truly there was nothing wrong with decree 34 in hindsight.

The structure we have today is far different from decree 34, but rather it was modifications of decree8 made by Gowon which broke regions into states and also consolidated the regional revenue to the center for distribution and sharing to the regions.

Please you guys should see that propaganda no dey sell again.
See all these narratives you are trying to change will not work. Baba I taught government in colleges for more than 10 years. So just dey play.

When you are ready to tell yourself the truth you will definitely do that.

Nigerians never stops o amaze me. Every time a story of Dangote refinery comes up, I see a lot of people complaining. Some go as far as saying the refinery is a scam.

First and foremost, there is no businessman who doesn't want to make money from his investment. Dangote wants to make money, and he has invested billions into this project, and he will do anything to make sure it succeeds. Like every other businesses, there are going to be hiccups and delays and other issues before it fully kicks off. This is not a fast food restaurant project. Engineering and mechanical projects of this magnitude will certainly face challenges before fully operational.

Why are people calling this project scam?? Like really??

Dangote wants to make money and he certainly will. I think you guyz should focus on your own life and projects cause Dangote will succeed with this.
People that are ment. The way they reason at times amazes me. I go spend money of that magnitude and the thing no go work? Well most of them haven't been to the location before that's why they are yarning dust

Haaaaa you are a big liar, show me where Zik gave jobs to igbos? From the early 50s igbos were already in civil service everywhere, even awolowo in the 50s said there were many igbos in civil service. Zik never needed to give anyone jobs. Also again decree 34 didn't abolish regions you have been dodging that fact. The only thing decree 34 did was to centralise the Regional civil service to a central one. The person who abolished the regions was Gowon. The truth is now you guys are becoming uncomfortable because so much lies which you guys used the media to propagate are being challenged.
Will get out from here for distorting history. Liars

Yoruba people have deep hatred for the Igbos but what shock me most is seeing some foolish Igbo girls having marital relationship with Yoruba men who hate their fathers, brothers, nephews and male cousins with passion. It is a shame on the Igbo race for not educating and training their daughters on how evil and dangerous these snakes are.
Please how has the Yorubas shown hatred towards the Ibos? When Tinubu was Lagos state governor check his political appointments and those of his counterparts from the east. Even presently check the present Lagos state civil service to those in the East. Someone who gives another man's children food to eat needs to be praised and instead of being an ingrate. Yorubas doesn't believe in tribalism. We believe in competency.
Go to Blenco supermarket branches in Lagos to fact check, all their branch managers are igbos irrespective of their qualifications as far as you are igbo you are good to go. And they have staff from other tribes that have served the company for long but they can never occupy those juicy posts.
The company where I worked is owned by a Yoruba but an igbo lady is our accountant/head of finance. What else do you want from us?
Look at this past election, see how you guys meddle into Lagos politics. You are living in an estate and you are a landlord and you want to contest for the estate chairman but your tenants from other tribe are telling it to your face that they won't vote for you rather they will vote for another landlord to be the estate chairman thag after all they are paying you house rent and other bills. In all fairness as human how will you feel? Though they have the exclusive right to vote for whoever they want ooooo but You sef think am , will you be happy with those tenants in such scenario? When we do things at times we should be sober at times that can I take this thing if it is been done to me?

grin hahaha when its convinient for you dolt, you shift narratives...the case of obasanjo being rallied around for presidency is quite diffferent. The yorubas contested an election and won but was robbed of that mandate so its only fair for them to be pacified and quit with the lies u ibos have been spreading, ibos never voted abiola, he only won in anambra so stop with the lies. Now comapring that, as a factor of maginalisation is false

Your people suck at politices and to you dolt everything is by being aggressive and you try to bully other in voting your candidate in the last election grin that reallly back fired. After insulting everyone elses and you expect vote from them? Thats just being delutional. Work on yourself and change your arrogant and disrespectful attiude to others if you want things to change or else yall all with coninue to wail.

And finally ibo land is landlock with no access to sea, so i dont understand where all the demand for seaport is coming from. Onne port is functional . You dont have to be in lagos if thats your excuss but the problem of an ibo man is within, call your leaders to accountability and not just focus on the center.
People that are very ment. Throughout the 8 years of Buhari they called him all sort of names and even said he was cloned. They insulted the fulanis. Tinubu is there now and they are still repeating the same thing. They keep doing the same thing all over again and they are expecting change. Is that not madness?

Kindly reference when such projects were initiated first in the National Assembly. And the FEC can approve important projects that are of economic benefit.

Azumini River to the ocean is the same nautical distance as Tincan to the Ocean. So SE is not landlocked as you think.
So what happened during those years when Okonjo was the finance minister? The Ubah brothers were very closed to obasanjo also. What happened when Obi was the economic head during Jonathan's regime?

I agree with you. Part of our IGR in Lagos can always be credited to these people's huge contribution to the economic growth of the state. I am not a trialist and I will never be one. Create a sea port in the SE and give them good roads. All the agitations and feelings of disconnect will stop. The FG will only earn much more revenues via Sea Port, should this be considered,

Even if the FG is not capable of building a sea port there, they can do a Public Private partnership thing. It is quite possible. The Lagos Deep Sea port is not owned by one entity alone, it is a partnership thing. Like I once said on this forum, the federal government knows what to do to guarantee peace and oneness but deliberately, they do not want to do it. I said this when the IG asked the ipobs to stop making people orphans and widows by killing the police in the SE. To govern Nigeria is not difficult at all, if only we can shun bigotry and tribalism. I have studied the political atmosphere of this country well as I have mingle with nearly all the tribes in the land and sought their opinions.
You see this issue of tribalism was what I was discussing this early morning with my partner. I will keep repeating it that this is what is killing Nigeria. And I can boldly say it that the Ibos are the number one player of tribalism and bigotry in Nigeria

She is working with a big supermarket on the island owned by an Ibo man. She complained bitterly about the tribalism and nepotism going on there. There are staff that have spent up to 10 years with the company but they refused to promote them. Rather they promote fellow igbos. Even non-igbos with good qualifications will never be promoted as branch manager.

The company I worked for is owned by a Yoruba person from Oyo state. Our accountant/head of finance is an igbo lady from Anambra state. Take a look at Tinubu's government when he was Lagos state governor, look at how he spread his appointments among other tribes. Same goes to Obasanjo administration, same as Yar'dua. But can the same be said of an igbo man if given the chance to be the president? At least we can see what Obi did in Anambra by removing non-Anambrans from the civil service.

As for seaport issue; can you make an omelette without eggs? There are functional ports in SS which the east can use. Ibos should come together and amend their ways and every other things will fall in place. Prominent igbos like Soludo keep saying it that this Nzogbu Nzogbu politics will not work, yet they called him names. No tribe is perfect but at least we should learn to accommodate others and create a level playing ground.

All these things this white man said ought to have been achieved during Obasanjo's tenure when the igbos dominated his cabinet up to GEJ's era.

Look at how the igbos and non-igbos are busy abusing the hell out of Yul just because he's supporting Tinubu. Must we all support Peter Obi? Even if the current Nigeria's economy isn't favourable, won't things still later fall in place? We all take drastic measures in our various homes especially when we are embarking on important projects. We deprived ourselves of somethings just to achieve something bigger and I believe that is what we are currently experiencing in Nigeria.
My people across the Niger still have a long way to go and may God heal you all.
