I am at pains when knowledgeable people tend to be bias when talking on national issues. For the politicians well agreed for their reasoning which most of the times its upside-down. But for the academicians and apolitical what do you say. When there is a national issues that need clarification rather than contribute for the masses to understand you will see writeups such as 'wailing wailers' trying to consign it to dustbin forgetting that what goes round comes round. The irony is they will shamelessly defend the very isuue consigned to the dustbin when it no longer suits them. I arrived at thus conclusion from the analysis from the so called experts or professors especially from the northern part of the country during the past regime and niw that one if theirs is in power. So shameless. |
Moh Buhari is the president of Nigeria. That is a fact that nobody in this country and even overseas can deny. One would have reacted on this issue had it been that the APC hung the portrait of the past president in their secretariat. The annoying thing is the response of Lai Moh as usual manufacturing words. We just have to tell ourselves the truth no matter how bitter, this is what make country great not manufacturing lies, twisting facts and outright denials |
I am skeptical in every news emanating from the presidency or its spokesmen and above all the almighty Lai Moh. NLs know the reason behind my resolve |
I expect Mr President to appoint INEC chairman from any geographical area but certainly not from the north west more so from his home state. Those who thought Buhari is next to God may not see anything wrong from his action and in actions. He is not a religious leader but a politician. Even religious leaders have their shortcomings not to talk of politicians. |
Rather unfortunate after all these years. At their age one cannot fault decisions taken by them |
That's to be expected. It's just natural that it ends this way |
Some people react to issues just like a boy or girl deeply in love and the love clashes. Whatever good either of the party did is now regarded as bad and both tried very hard to run down the other if you care to listen. Let's not behave like children or those lovers cited above. |
The points raised should be addressed. If these allegations concerning the two offices are true then we are heading for trouble. The pdp is an opposition party and one has to be careful in reading meanings to its writeups. However not this type of weighty allegation. Prince Tony the other day told Nigerians that the anti graft agency is there to do its job. Agreed. But then has he trust that the agency would do its job without undue political interference giving the nature of Nigeria politics. What goes today may come back tomorrow. I remember the case of Rivers state police chief and Amaechi. Let's be reasonable. The president should take note and not dance to the dictates of politicians taking into consideration his comments then about Rivers. He is the president of Nigeria |
While not holding brief for the pdp secretary, the president has just informed the listening Nigerians that he is taking his time to appoint credible Nigerians to man the vacant positions of ministers rather than the old tale of 'the 16 years of misrule of the pdp'. That statement is just the simple truth. |
Depends on who built the house. It may be called mansion at his standard. That is not the issue. We have to be sympathetic to the fellow who built that house. Is just not t easy. Let's for once have human mind and think if you are in his shoes. |
I found it difficult to understand this one million barrels of oil stolen daily by the past ministers. The big question is how much does Nigeria produce in a day. Coming from the president one has to exercise restraint but then hope we are still not campaigning. |
Why does APC appear to think that Nigerians are fools that can be fed with any story. Nigerians voted for APC for them to lead this country. Reminding us about pdp always shows the party is not yet ready to lead. Why then did Nigerians voted for APC if all the time they keep telling us of how pdp destroy the country. If the ruling party then was voted out by Nigerians what is APC telling us again. Election period is over. It's time for governance. With this attitude even in the next four years APC will keep on telling us how pdp destroy the country. They should be reminded that Sule Lamido could not have been arrested then as there was immunity clause. NYAKO fled the country. He came back when the present administration took over. So much for fighting corruption. |
Mess! mess! This is the language of APC. Why then did the party win an election. To move the nation forward. Do stop this stuff of the country has been mismanaged. Clean the stable and for God's sake stop talking about the party that Nigerians have shown the way out. There was positive development in the country for the past 16yrs. It cannot be all mess as APC is singing. Come to think of it majority of APC were former PDP so what are they talking about |
While it's true that Nigerians love deadlines but we should note that some banks did not start this registration until this very June. This l can testify personally as my bank told me that they are yet to get the go ahead though they have now started. Imagine bank registering twenty to thirty people in a day. These banks have thousands of customers. Arrive at your conclusion |
Where, fellow NLs can l go for registration. Which ministry or board. |
While it's true that during PDP rule opposition parties did not get leadership position but have we ever thought what was the strength of the opposition then. Was it as close as now. 59 and 49. Nigeria only got strong opposition with defections which in itself was not legal. Why then talk of opposition that was not strong. Why do Nigerians forget events so easily. |
I am disappointed. Is Garba Shehu now Lai Moh? We all know the APC spokesman's ability to tell us story he thought was good enough to him personally not minding that he was talking to sensible and reasonable Nigerians |
Going thru some responses to the article one can safely arrive at the conclusion that u can never satisfy a human being. |
Most of the time PDP goes about looking for the impossible. I remember during the election period they were seeking for Obasanjo as if they are deaf and dumb. Why ask for the president's intervention. The new president does not believe in any election not won by his party. Check his utterances. |
If you are sure of the looting why don't you report to the police for investigation and possibly court action. Don't mind the new president does not play with such Behavior even if the ex governor is his son |
At times one finds it difficult to understand what is the gain in religious extremism. We all meet religion on earth and certainly we will leave it here on earth. Clothes were designed and created just like motor cars, airplanes, printing machines that even printed the various religious books by human beings. We were created without clothes. Its this idea that my religion says this or that which is giving us headaches. We can't do without the western world. While we may not behave like them, however it is the freedom associated with their lives that technology is expanding. Without investigating the cause of death we may not be able to know how to avoid the avoidable. We all know that when time is up nothing will prevent one from moving on. When one watched Chinese people without headscarf but busy churning out chines phones etc the question now is.... |
Was the cheque presented in America. Why using dollar instead of our naira. If government officials do this then what do you expect from ego seeking individuals and cooperate bodies. |
Had it been this u turn is coming from PDP or any other party other than APC the national publicity secretary of the APC would have been shouting blue murder. I think we need a strong opposition to halt these u turns otherwise we will wake up without the elected party fulfilling its promise citing one reason or the other |
Naturally when one fails in an assignment the focus will be on the failure not factors leading to such failure. We can all sit in the comfort of our rooms and write whatever we fancy. Leading a country like Nigeria is never an easy assignment though some of us may think that why did he take the assignment in the first place. To this let's go back to history. In this nigeria whom among our past and present leaders went Scot free from ineptitude to clueless. Even the now President elect was butted out of office citing the above mentioned lapses. He himself ovethrew a democratically elected government of Shehu Shagari citing those lapses. Murtala Mohammed did not last a year in leadership before those who felt He was clueless cut him down. The outgoing president has tried his best. He should be left alone to chat his way. Most of those criticising now may not be able to do half of what he has positively done to the country. Even Obasanjo tearing his card letter writing has his lapses very loudly for that matter. So let's pray the incoming administration learn a lot from the past leadership. Just a reminder the President elect stated that the PDP has misruled the country for the past 16yrs that include Obasnjo and even some of his new party men such as Atiku, Kwankwaso etc. My candid opinion is for him to stop talking of misrule and face the task ahead of him. He himself was a candidate of misrule then as mentioned earlier in this piece. |
I believe this is just a story. However, his behaviour of leaving the intruder unhurt is commendable. Exile as it seems now is unmanly. As NLs advised there is no harm in doing DNA on those children to be on the safe side. As for the family pressure, he can always listen and decide as a man whether his wife is worth a wife. Finally of what use is this advise when it was a friend involved. Well l guess its just a waste of time. |
How does one differentiate between natural and artificial virgins these days. Very difficult |
I thought what Atiku said in the interview was that 'this is the third time he is leaving PDP so he is not coming back'. Not that the President begged him three times. Go back to that interview again and listen well. Why are we turning issue upside down |
But why are you quoting the hotel room cost per day in dollars. I thought this is Nigeria not America. You can bracket it in naira if you fill the information is for Americans. Always trying to be more American than Americans. Next the price if yam tuber will be quoted in dollars. Let's respect our currency instead of relegating to the back. |
I think the incidence form should never be used except for people who have no fingers at all or handicap which should glaring to all. Using the form is just a way to rigging. The point is if by any means this form is allowed then the card reader becomes useless. Observance of rules and regulations concerning the elections must be followed either in the north or south. We were made to understand that finger prints is unique to an individual. Why thumb printing in the first instance if allowance is to be made later on. The only physical element in the process of election is thumb printing. The rest are paper work which in the present technology can be manipulated. If you remove the physical element then good bye to free and fair election. There are farmers and women wearing all sort of things on their fingers both in the north or south. Get your fingers cleaned for elections period. No incidence form for any region. |
To lead a country whose citizens forget easily about events leading to an action or inaction is not easy. In any case someone who hates you will always has a reason no matter how dumb to criticize you. All boils down to hatred. People whose minds are made up in that direction can never be pleased even if you laid down your life. |
While it is true that our police are brutal by the way they arrest, however you should also look at the environment. A police car which here in Nigeria is either for DIG or lG is there boldly written police. Here criminals don't understand civil treatment. They will run away if by mistake the police applied such treatment. There by their attitude they won't attempt to run away. Most of the prisons in these developed countries are the average Nigerian homes. Before we compare let's look at our developmental pace. |
How l wish those condemning Fayose now will look back and even now to what Amechi had and is doing now. Why should do these people turn coat in events or actions that they are expert. What's good for the geese is good for the gander. The more reason we should stop encouraging politics of insults. Outright lies. Defamation of character etc. |
