justmykel:

I guess you failed in domaining that is why you're bitter! It's not too late bro. You can try again! With domaining you can never loss as long as you know what you're doing. Just get the right information and mentoring.
Travel / Re: What Country Can I Travel With 4-5 Milion Naira. by akus6060(m): 9:53am On Jan 04, 2022
Stop arguing what you have no knowledge about and who told you that 5 million naira can't be made from domain investing? Do you know how long he has been on it or his portfolio size? They sent a link to you in respect of domain business and why not read and make research. Sales of just one domain can even give you 8000 dollars, but you need to understand the business very well and is not a get rich quick things. I am talking from experience and I trade on domains.
Flipmac:

You're a fvcking idiot with a 0.7 IQ. I repeat, if you believe that young man made 5m from domain flipping then you're the dumbest human on earth.
Idiocy runs in your lineage. I spite on your father's bald head.
You will surely die a painful death, and soldiers ants will eat your heart.

REACT is a JavaScript library so learning REACT implies learning JavaScript. BTW I am not a web developer but it took me less than 4~5 hours to learn JS. I had to for this freelance job that I worked on.

Learning programming is all about passion and perseverance so ask yourself if you really have the passion or just because you think everyone is talking about IT.

I think you have to learn and build projects to be proficient in frontend before thinking of going the way backend to become a fullstack. you can follow this path to become a frontend developer: HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT and REACT in that other.

Yes you can start with your smartphone but you can't really do much with phone so if you have the means of getting a laptop, then go for it.

Education / Re: Are Certificates Really Overrated? What I Saw In My Uncle's House by akus6060(m): 10:31am On Nov 20, 2021
I can't phantom the reason why you decide to post the credentials of your uncle online and that's infringement on his privacy. Even if you have blurred the name , that doesn't still make sense and the world is a global village so you never can tell your uncle can log it nairaland and even see those things you uploaded or don't you know that Nigerians outside are aware of nairaland. author=NoApology post=107764982]So one of my uncles that is based overseas is billed to come home this Xmas, as such a lot of cleaning and fumigation has been going on in his house in readiness for his come back.

I went this morning to supervise the work going on there. I went inside of the stores by the car house and saw this old metal cabinet and I decided to check what's inside. Lo and behold, I found in the midst of old paper files and debris my uncle's Nigerian certificates! Omo!

Rats has eaten some portions of the certificates. I scanned through and discovered that he was,by his Nigerian qualifications, below average. This is the same man that is an internationally sort after lawyer both in the country and overseas where he resides.

This got me wondering with so many questions on my mind:
1. Are certificates really overrated?

2. Does it really come a time in our lives (apart from death) when our certificates becomes irrelevant?

3. Is it not obsolete to measure ones intelligence based on exam performances? ( My uncle would have been jobless or better still a charge and bail lawyer at best going by his academic performance)

4. And why do Nigerians perform better in almost everything when the leave this country? Are we too stringent or is a reflection of our flawed system?[/quote]

Programming / Re: Should A 30year Old Still Go Into Tech? by akus6060(m): 3:59pm On Nov 18, 2021
Why most of us like using words like " a friend of mine is asking for help/ direction" when in the right sense we are the ones asking for direction ? Op graphic design is also part of tech ecosystem and if your friend is good in it , he can make money from it . No time is too late to learn programming if that is what he desires , proficiency is the key thing .
babasolution:
I have a friend who is confused on his career path,he is 30year old.He is a graphic designer, he is doing relatively well,with the hype around the tech industry of recent and that they are paid very well.He is thinking of going into tech,precisely web development. What he wants to know now is that would it be a fruitful or fruitless venture,considering his age,also that many going into tech are mostly younger people in their 20s who are even already professionals while he at 30 is just a beginner,he has some knowledge on HTML,CSS. Will it be a waste of time considering the time he will use to learn,he will be older than 30,will there still be opportunities for him at that age? Or should he go for something else?.pls he needs tech pros honest advice.thanks

It would have been better if u could screenshot the code for us to decipher the error and since u are styling your h2, u are supposed to have h2 in the body of your html .Also have u tried adding an opening head tag for your styling? Because I can only see closing head tag.
HaywhyA:
its Becalina... I tried to upload the complete code but I was banned and my code was deleted, I don’t know why that is. Do you know what else I can do.
Programming / Re: Please Help A Beginner, CSS Not Working. by akus6060(m): 6:53pm On Oct 13, 2021
Write out the complete code so that we can figure out the error and not just the CSS.l mean let see the body of ur HTML and I can't find your opening head tag.
Becalina:
I just started learning website development online, I have been trying to Embed my HTML with CSS, but it seems not to work at all. Like my browsers are not seeing it .

At first , I tried adding images but it won’t load, I have tried all including optimization, nothing seems to work, so I had to leave that.

I tried to use a downloaded background to no avail

So I started CSS, it didn’t even work at all.

The code i used is

<!Doctype html >
<html >
<html Lang=“en”>
<meta charset=“utf-8”>
<title>The Big Black Jack</title>
<style type =“text/css”>
h2 {
color: purple;
}
</style>
</head>

Please help a sister out. Thank you
