The moment it had been discovered he lied intentionally, especially on video and on the information he provided the Senate, that he obtained degrees from Harvard and LSE, SR can be excused for doubting his other supposed degrees he parades as his as an investigative media outfit, mostly if they could obtain the information from the Exam officers who do the actual computation of results and not the VC. The loser in all of this is the institution, ABU. It has now been perceived both locally and internationally as a place where anything goes and people can be admitted and graduated without meeting standard requirements, as against the respect it was accorded prior to this case. Graduates from there will have a hard time trying to pursue PG studies in top institutions abroad henceforth.

Many of you just let out rubbish, without bothering to reason what criteria was used to develop this stats. If you bothered to think about it, you will know that the criteria used is not "eye catching projects".

The criteria used were mainly based on 3 categories - Education, Health and Standard of Living, now subdivided into ten indicators. That is why responsible government's projects should among others be geared towards addressing the multidimensional poverty index as stipulated by UN. It is not about pictures, fancy buildings and obviously not about the lies you lot tell yourselves about Osun. It is about simple indicies of life like enrolment, school attendance, nutrition, child mortality rate, access to food and water, rural electricity, cooking fuels and sanitation

I believe this report simply because of the time period covered but I don't know why some of you like to delude yourselves. If I may ask, how many of those Aregbesola projects I listed up there are sustainable up to 2017, and are you saying that if this UN study was conducted just between 2015 and 2016, Osun state will still retain the position it maintains on this list? The pathetic case of Osun between 2015-2016 became such a National disgrace that a church had to be providing food for many people there as a result of the state government failing in it's responsibility. Before you call me ipob or whatever, I'm from the SW myself but I love objectivity.

You need to understand that the period considered was between 2004 and 2014 when there wasn't recession and things were a bit well off generally across the country, especially in the South. This was the period Aregbesola was collecting loan up and down to flag off unsustainable but catchy projects like opon imo, O'Yes, O'meal and all that.. if they should extend to 2017, Osun and many other states will be worse off.

What exactly are you trying to prove with this part you quoted me with? It's clearly written on ABU Geography web page that when they started the dept in 1962, they were awarding both B.A. and B.Sc degrees, meaning some students graduated with B A while others did with B.Sc. At what point did they revert to only B.Sc is what is not clearly stated but you were claiming that happened even in the 80s by pointing out the case of Dr. Sawa. If you'd had the patience of scrolling down a bit, you'd have read the biography of Dr.J.G. Laah who was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree from the same dept. Lemme quote that part for you so you just accept you're wrong and stop the needless arguments.

The Coordinator of this unit is Dr. J. G. Laah. The unit has the mandate of developing Research Proposals, organizing Conferences, producing Journals, Bulletins and Special Reports. Dr. J. G. They offered geography in arts before(i.e 1962) but those who graduated in the 1980's had bsc and not Bachelor of arts. Dino graduated in 1999 for crying out loud.

You just contradicted yourself with this web page you attached. I read everything there. You lied about Geography Dept in ABU awarding only B.Sc in 1980s and not B.A. It's clearly written in that web page that the coordinator of the Research and Development Unit, one Dr. J.G. Laah had his first degree from ABU and was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1987. While I'm not holding brief for Dino, this simply means that practice of awarding B.A. degree in Geography could have been applicable during Dino's as your claim of this happening only in 60s has been shown to be a lie.

Seems you're a bit visually impaired. If not you won't make this statement you've made. Where did you B3 in this article by Sahara Reporters. The grading system used in the 90s when Dino did his WAEC was A1,A2,A3,C4,C5,C6,P7,P8 and F9 which was what Sahara reporters displayed here as you can see he obtained P8 in both Maths and English. B2, B3,D4 and E8 were later introduced in the 2000s.
