Education / Re: 2017 JAMB Change Of Course/Institution Thread by AlanTuringAI: 8:02am On May 28, 2017 |
ZEPHYREN:That's a complete lie. Sociology is one of the most common courses in the Faculty of Social sciences offered by virtually all federal and state universities that matter in this country, along with some private ones. I just confirmed from this year's Jamb brochure. About 60 universities are offering that course (accredited). |
Education / Re: 2017 JAMB Change Of Course/Institution Thread by AlanTuringAI: 7:02am On May 28, 2017 |
NobleRomm:The essence of change of institution is to enable candidates correct the initial choices they made during registration. As it is, Jamb hasn't sent the list of applicants to any institution. That'll only be done after they've concluded with this change of institutions stuff. That way, institutions don't get to know candidates who chose them initially during registration and those that changed to them. How then would they discriminate against them as you're alluding? Please verify stuffs and don't try to dampen other people's hope thinking it'll give you an upper hand. |

damilton:Not trying to be pessimistic but 230 would never get her medicine in UI in this lifetime. So it's better you're fast with the change of institution/course thingy now. She could consider other courses like biochemistry, microbiology, anatomy, physiology, botany, zoology and the likes. She should check the cut off of last year for these courses to be properly guided on which one her mark could possibly fit in. |

telleyway:Pharmacy is quite competitive, especially in a federal school like Unijos and 209 is quite low to be honest.. What's his O'level result like and what's your state of origin, perhaps catchment/ELDS could work for him. There are tons of other courses he could opt for with that UTME subject combination, but that'll depend on the competitiveness in the school. Courses like Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Physiology, Anatomy etc. |

chukwukapromise:Thanks so much bro. I've followed the steps u gave and they've generated RRR and transaction ID for me, but they're still indicating that I proceed with payment perhaps using card on the Jamb site. Should I go ahead with that or go to a bank instead as I saw you wrote Zenith bank earlier? Secondly please, as per the change of course, can one change both first and second choices to different universities and courses from the original ones, and can choosing one of these new federal Universities like Oye-Ekiti as a second choice be acceptable by Jamb, and lastly does making a school second choice affect ur chances of admission there, I mean will Jamb make the school know u chose them as a second option? Thanks. |
Education / Re: 2017 JAMB Change Of Course/Institution Thread by AlanTuringAI: 9:52am On May 27, 2017 |
chukwukapromise:Please bro, I'm trying to generate this RRR for change of institution/course for my kid sister on the Jamb website but it's bringing only 2016 UTME option on that page and not 2017, and when I enter her Jamb reg No in the space provided below that, it triggers an error message. Could it be because she did last year UTME too, still retaining the same Jamb profile as that of last year during registration for this year, instead of creating a new one? |

InyinyaAgbaOku:Of course, there are many Yorubas and Igbos in these big techies. Why the unnecessary excitement from some unexposed Igbo guys here and the spiting of Yorubas over this guy working at Facebook, like there are equally no Yorubas holding meaningful positions in Facebook and other techies. It just smells of inferiority complex and unnecessary unhealthy rivalry. |
Health / Re: Certain Immune Reactions To Viruses Cause Learning Problems-research by AlanTuringAI: 5:53am On May 21, 2017 |
Mandesz:"Researchers have discovered a mechanism by which the body's immune reaction to viruses like influenza and HIV may cause learning and memory problems. Although immune system activation by viruses has long been linked to cognitive problems, the underlying mechanisms have been poorly understood. In the new report." This is simple comprehension/summary issue na oga. The opening and closing sentences of this report summarizes it all that viruses cause "memory and learning problems", which is already an established fact from previous researches. The only addition this research is making is explaining the mechanism through which that happens, which previous works did not talk about. Where in this report did you see that they're good for the memory instead? This report is just too short for one to find it difficult to comprehend. |

terrezo2002:Christians will say Jehovah God is omniscient, meaning he knows the end even from the beginning. This means he knows Adam and Eve will eat the forbidden fruit, that Judas will betray Jesus and that Lucifer will rebel against Him. Agreed? Why then is man paying for the sins of what Jehovah had predestined to happen, meaning they could not prevent those from happening as they'd been preplanned. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

ExplorerReturns:I didn't want to comment on your open display of stupidity and ignorance but for the sake of those who would be truly ignorantly misled by your concocted lies, I decided to reply. I don't have to be told you're an Igbo guy to know that's who you are. I am from Ondo State and an Ilaje man and we're are Yorubas, culturally, linguistically and by all indices. We're not IJAWS. It's only in Ese-Odo you have Ijaws in Ondo state, and Ilajeland accounts for the bulk majority of crude oil being exploited in Ondo state. Get that into your thick skull. You cannot come from the South-east and tell me my history. Sometime in the recent past on this forum, we read of the back and forth argument between the paramount king in Ilajeland, Olugbo of Ugbo, Obat and the Ooni of Ife over where the true origin of Yoruba is, with the Olugbo arguing that it's from Ugbo in Ilaje and not Ife as it's popularly believed. How is it possible for a king of a land to be claiming to be the source of a tribe if he doesn't originate from there? Please let's be guided in the way we distort facts and peddle lies about on this forum. 8 Likes |

Can you tell me a continent that is more disease-stricken like Africa where homosexuality is frowned at? I believe we're educated minds and should draw conclusions based on logic and scientific proofs, and not mere emotions. 1 Like |
Religion / Re: Iceland Declares Christianity A Public Health Hazard by AlanTuringAI: 5:20pm On Apr 28, 2017 |
felixomor:Homosexuality is allowed in Iceland yet HIV prevalence there isn't even more than 2% but here in Nigeria and other African countries where homosexuality is openly banned and frowned at, the rate of infection is very much on the high side. This simply means your statement is illogical and holds no water. We should stop fooling ourselves in this part of the world. 3 Likes |

They speak a dialect of the Yoruba Language just like we have other dialects like Ijebu, Ondo, Owo, Ijesha etc. Dino could speak Hausa fluently perhaps because of his growing up and schooling in the core North, you can't say same for other Okun indigenes. |
