comrChris:They claim or those courses truly lost their accreditation? How on earth would Unizik recommend students for admission in courses that have not been accredited? |
safarigirl:Read the first sentence you wrote again, which was why I had to quote you to debunk such falsehood, otherwise I wouldn't bother. You're making a categorical statement here, as evidenced by your use of the words "apparently and only", and not a word like "probably'. Just accept that you made that statement out of ignorance and not any FP whatever. "FUTO is apparently the only University of Technology that its students can actually construct these items" |
Efewestern:That statement she made was an insult to other technology schools. I definitely knew she made the statement out of ethnic bias which is quite unfortunate. |
safarigirl:That's because you choose to see what you want to see. You don't make categorical statements like your first sentence without checking facts. Are you implying that students from other technological schools are not good enough when compared with FUTO students? Students of FUTA have been building drones, as singular projects, not group projects like this one and such news abound in the education section of this forum. At least there was one that recently constructed a drone all from scratch using locally made materials. See link: https://www.nairaland.com/3413006/futa-student-builds-drone-locally |
Chevronstaff:My brother, while I'm not trying to downplay Moses' achievements and ability, I put it to you that people who do these nominations don't work with sentiments but facts. Mane and Aubeymeyang were the only Africans on the 30-man shortlist of the 2017 Ballon D'Or (a much bigger and global award). You expect CAF to overlook these guys for a Victor Moses? Or is it Salah who is about the hottest thing in the EPL right now, that is to be overlooked for Moses who currently this season has not been exactly convincing? Come on man. |
Absuchat:More Nigerians have won it than other countries. Only 2 people each from Cote d'Ivoire and Cameroon, with one of them from each winning multiple times, compared to Nigeria's count of 4 winners (Yekini, Amunike, Ikpeba and Kanu). |
Threebear:The 3-0 Arsenal win over Chelsea in September,2016 happened in a La liga match I guess. |
uglyafonja:Just imagine this illiterate and liar comparing Ebonyi and Osun state in terms of education, saying Ebonyi is ranked 7th in education. This is the same Ebonyi that is classified as an Educationally Less Developed State (ELDS) alongside the Northern states. Ebonyi and Bayelsa are the only Southern states in that unenviable category. Since you are an illiterate and never wrote UTME, you wouldn't know this fact. |
dhabrite:Like seriously it is very sad indeed. This (Phillipines) is a country with just one university (The University of Phillipines UP) ranked in the Times Higher Education in the 601-800 band, same situation with Nigeria, UI ranked 801-1000. It's just a waste of money going to such a place for a degree cos the schools there are of same standard with ours, if not even worse. |

Gosh. An illiterate person wouldn't post this rubbish you call ranking of Nigerian universities. Imagine the likes of Oduduwa and Elizade university being ahead of UI, Unilorin, Unilag and Co. Please take down this post and stop embarrassing yourself. |
repent4christ:Exactly. As evident in the likes of FFK who went to Cambridge, yet has a screwed brain. |
Timothy245:You should know there's a mistake in what you type. How will you repeat Agric twice, that 30 offer Agric, 35 offer Agric again? It should instead going by the next sentence in the question be: 30 offer Agric, 35 offer Bio. |
ROCE:That doesn't matter. It's just mutual admiration and respect between this two. Davido is also a Pepsi ambassador. How has that made him any closer to Wizkid? |
skyhighweb:There's dynamogen.. It's in liquid form, although it will make you sleep for quite a while anytime u use it, but you'll assuredly put on weight. |
NwaChibuzor:You unprovokedly started the tribal war now. If they pay you in kind, you'll be the first to run to the mods. Senseless beings everywhere. |
ArchangeLucifer:Mumu. There are actually 2 Nigerians in the Top 50 nominated for this award and the other- Ayodele Odeogbola (A US Mandela Washington Fellow) is your dreaded Afonja, who has even recorded global teaching achievements in the past. He was the first Runner-up For Microsoft Global Partners in Learning forum Award for Teaching as innovator and Change agent in 2012 and was also nominated among the World's best teachers in the award category -Microsoft Class of Mentor schools and Expert educators in 2014.Don't know why the OP decided to make it look like this guy is the only one, so small-minded tribalists like you can show how petty you are. See link: https://www.icirnigeria.org/close-up-itodo-odeogbola-the-nigerians-short-listed-for-global-teachers-prize/ |
AnodaIT:Admit that your statement was an ignorant one instead of this nonsense. You're referring to someone who doesn't even have a first degree but a diploma as graduating PhDs as a way to mock someone who is defending his PhD thesis. To your ignorant self, you feel owning a university is the same as graduating PhDs, and even if that's what you're alluding to, OBJ also has a university Bells, that run PhD programmes. So you can see you make no sense. |
Just because of tribal and party affiliations, so many idiots that don't know where their next meal will come from are shouting Victory for Democracy over a person operating 16 different accounts, and who is not a renowned businesswoman. Her only source of fame is being wife of a former President. |
victorazyvictor:Some of you are just eternally stupid. You look for every opportunity to display your bigotry even when unprovoked or uncalled for.How many "Afonja" guys have displayed the nudes of their partners that u know of? |
DanseMacabre:Aibohphobia - means the fear of palindromes (and it's a palindrome itself) Ailihphilia - a palindrome, which is the opposite of aibohphobia. It means the love of palindromes. |
Emzyme:Please is Eksu done with their Post utme? And do you know of any school especially in the South West that is yet to conduct Post utme or admission? |
nicedas:How can a state classified along with other states in the North as Educationally Less developed (ELDS) be leading other states in terms of literacy? Think before you write anything. We're not all dunces here. |
ebbo:You talk of Christians insulting Mohammed and Allah, like its a general thing that all Christians do. Since you're generalising, I ask: what greater disrespect and intolerance for others'religions can there be than throwing bombs and slaughtering people of other faiths than yours, in cold blood, while shouting this same Allah's name that He is great, while doing so? |
obyrich:Someone has attached a more reliable source,i.e. Guardian newspaper, but you intentionally behaved as though you didn't see it. Your Biafran Senator eyes have opened and now realised his earlier folly by signing a bail bond for a raving lunatic. It's time for you to smell the coffee and stop deluding yourself. See: https://m.guardian.ng/news/signing-kanus-bail-put-us-in-trouble-says-senator-abaribe/ |
Ngene44:That's the havoc people like Achebe, just before his death and more recently, Nnamdi Kanu have wreaked on the psyche of an average Igbo youth out there. |
Supersuave2:Expatiate on that #200 sub. They said its for a day (24hrs), while you wrote limited number of days here. Are you saying one could spread that 24hrs to like for instance 4 days of 6hrs each instead of just a single day of 24hrs? |
Supersuave2:You must have a company registered with CAC to become an agent. Here's the link to the online registration form to become a dealer. http://www.tstvafrica.com/dealer_register.php |
Supersuave2:The 5k is part of the subscription fee for the first month, though you would need the service of an installer to help you install it. The agents should be able to help with that for like 2-3k. They don't have agents in Kwara state at the moment, but have in all the South West states and places like Niger and Plateau in North Central. |
chrisbaxtian:Any riff-raff running a hate-filled radio station can't just wake up one morning and be asking for Referendum. Who is Nnamdi Kanu in the scheme of things in this country? Is he one of your elected representatives in the Senate or House of Reps to be making a call for referendum? What he and his IPOB could have done is to pressure your elected Reps from the region to debate these issues passionately on the floor of the National Assembly, and not insulting the President, other tribes and even his kinsmen who disagree with him on his approach. There are recognised persons elected to push for such, otherwise every Tom, Dick and Harry will be making different calls for referendum on every issue in the country. I hope you know referendum is not just limited to calls for secession?..You get the gist? |
comshots:Where did you read such nonsense as OAU being the best university in Africa, where we have South African and Egyptian universities? It's not even the best in Nigeria. |
ogazi4u:They don't need to put this falsehood on the front page please. |
youngvc1:Sorry to say, but I don't think you're enlightened enough to operate a blog on educational news if you feel that the prerequisite for a University to be named State University is having "state" as part of it's name; otherwise you wouldn't omit the likes of LAUTECH and AAUA Ondo state, in this ranking. Based on the so-called NUC ranking you copied this from, these two schools occupy the 2nd and 5th positions respectively amongst state universities in the country. I bet you class them as private universities. It's your type that'll call the likes of OAU and ABU private universities just because they're named after individuals. Check the link to that NUC ranking in case you want to argue. I just hate seeing people post false information online. https://www.naij.com/1113997-nuc-university-ranking-2017.html |
