duro4chang: Some parts of ekiti are very close to ijesa thus they speak ijesa. Example is that of okemesi ekiti and imesi ile in osun state. History has it that they were one town before. One is now in ekiti and the other one in ijesa, osun state. There is little line separating Ekiti and Ijesas. I hardly see the difference between Ogotun, Igbara-Odo in Ekiti; Igbara-Oke, Owena in Ondo and Ìkejì-Ile, Ikeji-Arakeki and Ipetu in Osun. Ekitis (including Akure) and Ijesas are just like one people in dialect compared with Akokos where one town would have two or more dialects. Oyos, Ibolos and maybe Onkos are another very close dialects. |

They are not the only one, even communities in Ekiti west and Ekiti South west. The same thing happened to Moba and Ekiti Kwara being influenced by Igbomina dialect. Do u know how much the followership has grown after he became president?
Only reason Buhari didn't become president all d while was he had no support of any southern state. If those years he was winning those states if only a region like the SW supported him, he would have been president long ago That's my point! Amaechi is not Buhari! No home based support like Buhari or Tinubu. |

jumper524: I'm sure things can change should he win the party's ticket. many APC members worked against oshiomole in Edo. oshiomole too over do there. he took the people of Edo and APC as piece of shit by bringing ize iyamu. I'm sure even buhari was disappointed by oshiomole. can't really speak of the bayelsa case though. now pending on who gets the PDP tickets, if Atiku I suspect should get, I'm sure the south won't be too foolish to support atiku against their son irrespective of party difference. neither would the north give full support to atiku like they previously did.. I've been watching Amaechi for a long time, he seems not to know how to play politics since Wike and co left him. Tinubu can count on thousands of political office holders in his zone but Amaechi can't. Has he closed rank with other big APC Politicians from the zone? No. You see Akpabio, Silva, Oshiomole, etc. are still the big APC guys in that zone. Some of them are also having ambitions. It will be easy for outsiders to penetrate and get their supports if the SS APC members are not uniting behind Amaechi. There's nothing Buhari alone can do. |

Coldie: In politics all those things don't matter, especially when Buhari himself appoints Amaechi his successor, d kind of power Tinubu has over Lagos is similar to the kind of power Buhari has over the north.
Buhari has an occult followership in the north. Buhari is so powerful that even if there's no apc state in the south as a whole if he appoints Amaechi successor the whole north will support him Read what you wrote again! Buhari as a cult hero didn't win under CPC until he joined forces with another cult hero, Tinubu. These two are dominant in their bases but you can't say the same about Amaechi. He lost his state and region. He can't even hold his party, APC together in his state. Buhari as candidate is different from Amaechi as candidate, my brother. |

See, it's a practical stuff, SS can only get PDP's not APC; it's so unfortunate for Amaechi's or Jonathan's ambition. SW has 5 APC controlled states, SE has 2 and SS none. Nothing will change, no reasonable party will give it's candidature to where it has no base. |

BastardWike: My Yoruba brothers always claim to be accommodating and sophisticated, but their actions often runs contrary to such claims, well we all know that talk is cheap. The killing of Hausas and destruction of their properties in parts of the SW is not only barbaric but also unjust and uncalled for!
The story goes that a Hausa cart pusher had verbal arguments with a Yoruba woman stall owner because he trashed the front of her store with rotten tomatoes. She asked him to clean the dirth but the Hausa man refused only for another yoruba man to get into a fight with him. During the ensuing melee, he knocked out the Yoruba man who unfortunately died later.
Now, let's put sentiments aside, that Hausa man could have been a Yoruba man who unintentionally messed up the front store of that Yoruba woman. Now, the question is, would Yorubas have gone on rampage if it was done by their own brother?
Why go all out to start killing and burning markets and goods of a particular tribe because of the mistake of one man?
Did the Hausa community send that man or was he their representative?
We all have a common enemy in the Fulanis who are killing, maiming, kidnapping, raping and destroying properties all over Southern Nigeria and they are about to be successfully isolated because Hausas too are their victims in the North. Now, these attacks on Hausas in the SW have united the Hausas and Fulanis, and the latter would be happy because they are now changing the narrative that all Northerners are being attacked unjustly in the South and they would now have enough numbers to counter the onslaught. Only if you can explain to us why you Igbos went on rampage when Hausaman stabbed your brother in Onitsha or when Akaluka was beheaded by them? |

You kill in bushes and in town you killed a pregnant woman and a man without provocation, you're talking about presidency? You can eat your presidency and rule yourselves forever. We'll also choose our own leaders. You're simply looking for war and division and that's what you will get... Libya oppression was way less to what is happening in Nigeria now until Gadaffi found himself on the street being dragged on the floor like a rag. Killed like a bush meat. My advice for northerners is to call Buhari to respect experience of Libya and call for dialogue instead of making inciting statements that will cause outbreak of war. No one has monopoly of Stupidity. When the whole country goes stupid like the Northern leaders are right now. Everyone will see. #Endsars will be tip of an iceberg. I am not a prophet but a seer.
If AK-47 can penetrate our borders from the north and we have bodies of international water in the south. The North should not underestimate the South East or South West on war. I don't want war in Nigeria as a Nigerian.
Set up an independent pannels and Call for dialouges and let every affected person come with evidence and address issues. Pay farmers for their losses and herdsmen for their losses and come up with a lasting solution to move the country forward. Please and please stop all these nonsense.
Visit Liberia, Visit Libya, Visit Syria and see what war has caused. Many African Nations are hostile, they will not take you in. Be warned. We should not start what we can't finish. Lagos with more than 30 million people is still not full take more of Eastern states which are bigger than Lagos. The last the SW will do is to kill Hausa or fulani because of Buhari. An Hausa man killed a pregnant woman and a Yoruba man and others prevented justice only to start burning Yorubas things because cunning Fulanis already instigated them. So you expected Yorubas to continue being killed in their own land by Fulanis in the bush and Hausa in the town. I was young in Kano in 1994 when a fight between Hausa man and igboman in bata caused two weeks killings and destruction of properties, coupled with the earlier beheading of Igboman Akaluka in police cell. You're hypocrite if you think you can take half of shit Yorubas are taking from everyone. |
