Hope15:
Biko my peeps, is it really necessary to include transcripts in the eAPR as part of educational details?
Thanks
I seriously doubt it. Ideally, Transcript shouldn't even be in your possession; that's why it's only provided directly by the institution and addressed to a 3rd party.

Hello Fam,i have a few questions running through my head anyone with the answers should please reply;

1. Don't they recognize B.Sc in the new CRS evaluation system, if they do how much points is allotted to it.

2. Is Bank statement and employment letter compulsory documents to be submitted when one has gotten ITA or reference letter is all that is needed cause i worked in an organization as a trainee engineer for 3years prior to my B. Sc before i was fully employed and i have worked with them for an additional 3years, should i claim to have worked with them for 6years as i have my employment letter stating 3yrs but i can easily get a reference letter for my company for 6years working experience with them.

3.Those already in the pool will their CRS Score be recalculated with the new format, the new format seems to be very stringent with point as those well above 400 may find themselves miles behind 67. It seems CIC is a little bit cautious considering the influx of immigrant in 2017.
1. Yes BSc is recognized and is awarded 112pts (if married) or 120pts (if single).

Once more thanks.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I am sure that your testimony will inspire others too.
Remark costs N15k. If your score changes after remark, you get refunded. Instructions about applying for remark (Enquiry of Result)is usually given when you collect your hard copy result from British Council. You have up to 6 weeks after test date to make that request and response takes about 10 weeks to come.

I was going through this CRS calculator, please what does this question mean and its possible answer:

Have you worked as a skilled TRADESPERSON on a full-time or an equivalent part-time basis for at least two years out of the last five years?

NB
Who is a skilled tradesperson?
A (skilled) tradesperson is someone in a hands-on skilled job that does not require a university degree. Most of the skills are acquired through apprenticeships and a few in some post secondary institutions. E.g. plumber, baker, long haul driver, electrician, technician, cooks, tailor etc.

Good morning House!!
I want to send my transcript to WES and Uniben uses UPS. Please is UPS fast? or should I insist that they use DHL?
Let them use UPS, it's also very fast. They are all in the same category.

Hi guys,

Please I need help.

What is the process of getting police report in Nigeria. And how long does it take.

Also, I have some concerns I was applied for UK visa 3x in 2014 and 2015 but was denied in all. And I have not been issued any visa before although these are the only time I applied for visa. Will this cause any issue for me.

Thanks
Visa denial by any country including Canada itself is not an issue as long as you are truthful about it in ur PR application. It's not a ground for denial or refusal once u meet the other stipulated requirements for PR visa.

Hello people. Newbie here. Wrote ielts last weekend still awaiting results. I'll like to ask some questions.
1. Can I send in my statement of result/ notification for a degree which I don't have the certificate yet, for Evaluation?
2. I am in possession of my transcripts but it's dated 2014 didn't use it back then so I just kept it. Can I send that for evaluation to WEs or IQAS l. Will the date be a problem? Or I shd request for another.

Thank you for ur prompt responses.
1. I guess your notification of Result should do.

2. Your transcript will ONLY be accepted if sent from the school directly. The date is immaterial. Please request for your transcript ASAP.

Pls I would like to find out if there is still hope for someone with a CRS score of 362. This is my 2nd IELTS and it stillamounted to 362.

I don't know if I should apply for a remark or just take this as a sign to bow out of this relocation pursuit. I've been devastated since the result came out. It's just so annoying after all the efforts and money spent on WES and other things.

My 1st score is LRSW 7.5, 7, 6.5, 8
The 2nd is LRSW 7.5, 7.5, 7.5, 7
Hubby score is LRSW 5, 5, 5.5, 6.5

My age is 34.
Sis, don't just give up. You were just 0.5 away from the needed score. I think it's still within your reach and so deserves another shot. Nothing good comes easy oh. If you truly believe in your Canadian dream, a 3rd (and perhaps a 4th) attempt shouldn't be enough to discourage you. I strongly believe you should try again and give it your best shot. As for me, I'm prepared to take IELTS even 4 or 5 times if necessary to realize my Canny dream- I'm that determined.

Thanks @Algbenguze. I have done the calculation and got 579 points. I guess its safe to proceed rather than wait, right?
Bro, I suggest u check that CRS calculation again because 579 points with only BSc seems unlikely to me except if you studied and worked in Canada. Cheers.

Hello guys. I am new here and have read a lot but had to skip plenty pages. Here's my situation. I have completed the IELTS with an average of 8.5 I have up to 3 years work experience. I have a BSc degree and doing an MSc now (due to finish latest February next year). I am not sure whether to send in my BSc for assessment now or wait to finish my MSc and use that instead. How much difference will using the MSc make for my application? What do you guys advise?
Judging by your language score and work experience, I think you should calculate your CRS points using the CRS tool and see if you can score around 418 above. If yes, then just go ahead with your BSc or otherwise wait for the Masters. Your masters alone will fetch you 25 points from Skills Transferability alone and a further 12 or so (can't remember) from Education. Good luck.

Hi everyone,

i just entered the pool with my IELTS Overall band of 7 and my CRS Score is 332. Please how do i go about the Provincial Nomination, i have only been able to apply to Manitoba . Other province e.g Saskatchewan doesnt have my NOC on it list of occupations, BC require i have job offer,?
Ontario will indicate in my CIC account before i can apply for nomination. Please how do i go about it? I cant just sit and be looking , my CRS point is too low. Do u think i should rewrite the IELTS? even if i have 8 band, my CRS score will be around 403. I need your advise and guidance, i beg.
I think you should still retake IELTS and aim for not just the overall band 8 but anything from 8,7,7,7 in LRWS and above. The better, the more your points.
As for PNP, Ontario will not nominate anyone below 400 CRS points. You can also check Nova Scotia PNP whether your NOC is on their In-demamd occupation list.
My advice is to retake IELTS and hit or exceed the above score to boost your points. If at all you still can't meet the cut off, at least you make yourself eligible for Ontario PNP which will boost your chances.

Good work guys! This thread has really proven to me that Nigerians are still a wonderful and helpful lot. We all shall reach the 'promised land' IJN.

Good day all,

Please i need your help and genuine opinion. I used an agent for my EE application.I got a request sometime ago from IRCC for last 6 months statement of account and I told my agent that I don't have it because I resigned after submitting the application last year and gave just a declaration for that and my agent told me not to worry as he has it under control. This is the mail my agent sent to me from IRCC last week below.

I need your candid advice as I cannot tell IRCC that my agent used a false document on my behalf which will lead to outright councellation.

WHAT CAN I DO as I plan to 1st withdraw it from the agent:
This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada as a member of the provincial nominee class. I have reviewed your application and all of the documents you submitted in support of it. It appears that you may not meet the requirements for immigration to Canada. Subsection 11(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) provides that a foreign national must, before entering Canada, apply to an officer for a visa or any other document required by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations. The visa or document shall be issued if, following an examination, the officer is satisfied that the foreign national is not inadmissible and meets the requirements of the Act. I have reasonable grounds to believe that you have not fulfilled the requirement put upon you by subsection 16(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, which states: 16(1) A person who makes an application must answer truthfully all questions put to them for the purpose of the examination and must produce a visa and all relevant evidence and documents that the officer reasonably requires.
Specifically, I have concerns that the Diamond Bank statements which you have provided in support of your application and which have been verified as altered by the issuing authority are fraudulent. Further these bank statements were the only objective evidence of your work experience, and as such you have provided no objective evidence that you have the work experience claimed. Section 40(1) IRPA states that: A permanent resident or foreign national is inadmissible for misrepresentation (a) for directly or indirectly misrepresenting or withholding material facts relating to a relevant matter that induces or could induce an error in the administration of this Act. Please note that if a senior immigration officer finds that the misrepresentation is material to your application for a permanent resident visa you could be found to be inadmissible under ection 40(1)(a) of the IRPA. A finding of such inadmissibility would render you inadmissible to Canada for a period of five years according to paragraph 40(2)(a) which states: ‘the permanent resident or the foreign national continues to be inadmissible for misrepresentation for a period of five years following, in the case of a determination outside Canada, a final determination of inadmissibility under subsection (1) or, in the case of determination in Canada, the date the removal order is enforced.’ I would like to provide you with the opportunity to respond to this information. You will have 30 days from the date of this letter to make any representations in this regard. If you do not respond to this request within 30 days (by 2017/07/09), your application will be assessed based on the information currently on file and may result in the refusal of your application. Please note: All documents must be accompanied by English or French translations. When original documents are requested, notarised documents are not acceptable. The above information/documents must be received in your MyCIC account by the date stated above. Failure to do so could result in the refusal of your application.
These 'agents' are really doing a lot of damage: and that's after collecting beta money from the client. God have mercy!

Guys, good job here!

Please is there anyone of u guys who's in the construction industry? I won't mind learning a thing or two from your experience upon landing.
Construction Manager is my target job but I know my Naija experience may not immediately fit in so I intend to study construction management in a college while working to maintain my family with 3 kids. I'm toying with the idea of starting out as an apprentice in a construction related trade (plumbing, electrician, carpentry etc) as it'll afford me the opportunity to earn while learning/studying in addition to being exposed to the industry itself.
I'll appreciate your 2 cents. Thanks

Hi guys, thanks for the loads of info here.
I did my IELTS last November and scored LRWS 8.5,6.5,7.5,8.5 and was devastated because of the Reading score. I didn't apply for a remark because someone advised I shouldn't bother because scores never change for Reading or Listening.
I have booked for another test for 8th July but want to know if anyone has successfully contested a Reading or Listening score with a positive outcome.
I'm currently awaiting my ECA but just want to know my options in case a similar thing happens (I pray it doesn't) with my next test.
Thanks
