You're right. That's why we should find something that suits us.
afam, why not a system that represent every single ethnic group, as a form of Parliament, where every ethnic group leader can discuss on the issue of nigeria instead of just WAZOBIA undecided

also, there should be advantages to the community where resources are been mined undecided

Why are people inserting their own groups into this conversation? This was about the NIGERIAN STATE and what it can learn from Igbo Democracy. Not about what the Hausa or Yoruba can learn from Igbo culture. People need to stop taking it so personally.

Igbos make up the Nigerian State, just like Urhobo, Ijaw, Hausa, Kanuri, Yoruba, Nupe etc. I think it is fair to say, that the Nigerian State can learn some things from its inhabitants.
you are right
also igbos should also learn from other nigerian groups jst like how nigeria and briton have learn democracy from us igbos

It is amazing how ethnic bias could blur intellectual capacity of certain folks to grasp the existence of basic and culturally induced democracy in Igbo land even when they have sort of fundamental links in Igbo land.

The truth is that there can never be peace until one group wins the war.The best and only solution is to cuddle off the jos area, withdraw all the security personnel and allow them to fight till one side wins. The same solution is applicable to middle east.As long as some people have been killed there will be vengeance and counter-vengeance till eternity.
abagworo, what are you saying here undecided

those christians and muslems should be arrested and jailed if not taken to the firing squad undecided
zo, there will be no peace until those people are arrested and killed once and for all, this rubbish has started since year 2000 undecided
CultureRe: Does Any One Knows Why twins Were Killed In Igboland by aljharem11(op): 6:08pm On Jan 08, 2011
harakiri:
@Post

Twins we killed :

(1) For the same reason people kill their relatives/friends in money rituals

(2)For the same reason people visit juju priests/babalawo/pastors/imams. . .to solve their problems

(3)For the same reason Moslem's/Christians murder themselves all in the name of religious differences

The bottom line if gross ignorance and immaturity to take responsibility for the problems!

Nuff said! ! !
bros, i think this has to do with culture not killings in recent time

CultureRe: Igbo/yoruba/hausa by aljharem11(m): 5:59pm On Jan 08, 2011
i see you point, but to foster unity, we all need to respect each other

as you can see from the various threads you have read, most igbos do not respect other nigerians, they call various groups all sort of names from nbgati to aboki to almajiri. they call some parasites and call others leeches. they bring biafra to almost every discussion or bring 1967. if they do not start a thread " we are the best in this and that" they will start a thread that " igbos unity etc you are igbo and u deny it" they even compare themselves to northerners and yorubas why i ask undecided

if you go to the political, tribalism, cultural section you will also notice this trend

each time we talk of unity, they insult the north for the woes of the nation

now if they do not respect other people how do you expect others to respect them

although i have met some very respectable igbos on this forum eg ChinenyeN, Abagworo, mikenesy, sometime Andre uweh, and eccanny, also chyz before he ran mad undecided

but some of them just come to this forum to pick a fight with other groups ,,,,reason i do not know undecided

as for the yorubas, sometimes they tend to pull the legs of the igbos people on this forum, and the igbo retaliates which is a act of self defence,,,but all in all i agree is childish

i hope nigerians in dispora and nigeria will unite one day smiley

All I can say is LOL!
I apologise if i sounded rude.
Kobo, you have to see reason in what I am trying to pass across. I get what you mean but things do not work that way in Nigeria. If GJ does this, it would be viewed as injustice and people would retaliate.
jason youself,,, you are trying to reason with kobozobo here,,lol

you are just wasting you time and effort

safe your brain for more important posters like dapobear, gbawe etc

do not waste you time, i learnt the hard way
