mbatuku1:Bros are you really comparing Lagos to Enugu and Owerri abuja is NOT A STATE enugu and owerri do not even come close to Oyo or Kaduna I expected Anambra which is ALMOST IN THE SAME level as Ogun not even Oyo |
we have a lot of kids on Nairaland. The Op asked a question, and next is rain of insults and infact some are even insulting his ethnic group. Talk of illiteracy. I am disappoint on the way some people just turn this to an ethnic issue instead of a Nigerian One. We have IDEEIOTS IN NIGERIA REALLY |
Egbe Nak:very good, Lagosian wake up from ur slumber Tinubu has no lagos interest other than the money he wants |
RoadStar:maybe so, I guess he saw a One Nigeria as the future if it worked then again, My suggestion is that he just followed orders from the west and not really for One Nigeria. Who knows, Only him |
RoadStar:Ok roadstar, who do you consider as a hero aka a nigerian hero or your hero in terms of Nigeria. I don't want this discussion to be biased at least for once |
RoadStar:Ijaws are not in Warri, when last have u been to warri ? warri is an itsekiri and urhobo town secondly, Zik was a tribalist in fact the worse of them all, why you ask ? Nigeria was operating on regionalism back then, insisted of Zik to leave each region to control there own affairs No ZIK Of ONITSHA locked his friend up and his friend vice up in his region, went to that region his friend ruled in and divided it using his presidential power of which there was NO VOTER. then few years down the line traveled out of the country only for his cousin and kinman OJukwu to invade to separated region of which his friend ruled over. If that is not tribalism and hate, then I do not know what else to call it . |
Dede1:Thank you, Now that u accepted this,; good. but others did not call for Nigeria to split since everyone loved one another and there was no point for Nigeria to split just because Igbo ran things back then. So now that it more or less equal of which Igbos still contribute a major work force in Nigeria, why can't Igbos chill then. Although I understand that it is hard to forget the war, given than some of u maybe even you lost a family member in the war, it is not an easy pill to swallow I must say. But chill, Igbo will soon be the president whether we like it or not and he can show us Nigerians the way. I would call for SNC where each region control it's own affairs |
OkparaIgbo:na ur wahala be that, all i did is correct you but if u want to continue in ur ignorance, then be my guest. Once you reduce ur tribalism and be objective then we can discuss |
OkparaIgbo:1. it is yoruba not Yoruba 2. I am not going to dignify your post because it is too tribalistic. thanks |
Ymodulus:Yes surly, but do we still dwell in the past ? The yorubas went through a similar thing as the Igbos before there luck changed, did they dwell in the past ? NO What do you what the Great Ijaws to do, their land has been destroyed by Nigeria, thus they are meant to hate Nigerian, but no, they moved on. The problem between Igbos and Hausa is simple. One thing you have to know is that some Igbo elements believe they are better aka superior than others. Even from Ojukwus writing you can tell. Moreover Igbos in general Never mind there business, they try to be involved in other regions politics and this is the most annoying thing an alien can do in another man's land. Also thinking they are smarter SMH Again you have to understand that the fulanis are very emotional. This is a dangerous mixture, The only way this can be solve is not by separating but regionalism but this time we would not have another Nnamdi that keep poke nosing in the western issue leaving his region intact. People should just mind there own business and there would not be problem |

nice one gej more grease to ur elbow |
Dede1:OK right, so from what I can get, you just do not want to be in Nigeria because of the different ethnic nations right ! Dede1 this is a quote from ojukwu himself By the late 1950’s into 1960 to 1966 Igbo, Ibibio and a few Yoruba brains ran the federal civil service of Nigeria. NIPOST then called P & T was most efficient. Letters were carried and delivered on time and intact. If you posted a letter with a one pound note visible inside it in Port Harcourt, the letter will arrive its destination, Sokoto on time and the one pound note will still be intact inside the letter. P&T was managed by the Igbo and they made sure that it worked. Electricity was supplied constantly, regularly and cheaply to every city in Nigeria. ECN, Electricity corporation of Nigeria as it was called then, [nobody knows what it is called now] was most efficient and cities from Maiduguri to Jos to Lagos to Enugu, Onitsha and Port Harcourt had regular uninterrupted light and power for industries. ECN was manned by the Igbo and their brothers in the East and they made sure that it worked. Water Corporation which was manned by the Igbo made sure that there was uninterrupted water supply to every city in the North, East and West. Rail transportation was so efficient that you could load railway wagons with yams in Lafia and cabbages, carrots, tomatoes and other vegetables in Jos and these perishables will arrive Port Harcourt in a matter of hours and the vegetables will still be crisp and fresh and the yams quite healthy. Yet the wagons were not refrigerated. Both goods trains and passenger trains ran on time and was a major means of transportation. Dr. Okechukwu Ikejiani was in charge of the Nigerian Railway Corporation and made sure that it operated the same way that rail transport operated in Canada where he got his medical degree. Schools and universities were administered by the Igbo who together with the Ibibio were easily the most educated group in Nigeria. Of the four federal universities in the country two were administered by Igbo intellectuals. Prof. Eni Njoku was the vice chancellor of University of Lagos and Prof. Kenneth Onwuka Dike was the vice chancellor of University of Ibadan. Prof Glen Taggart, an American was the vice chancellor of University of Nigeria, Nsukka. This is clear tribalism by Ojukwu himself and as such he wanted Nigeria back then when Igbos run things, but now that hausas and Ijaws with the fulani/yorubas are running things, you want out ? How is that possible ? How my brother ? Dede1 you hate Nigeria not because of the idea of different Nation but because Igbos no longer run things at least accroding to what Ojukwu is implying here. |
