Ybutterfly:Unfortunately no, I would just urge you to no go to the political and tribalism section. Just stick to romance, family etc anything apart from those 2 sections; they are not for the faint hearted I must say. Even the cultural section should be rare. |
Ybutterfly:You see, that was the problem from the start. I wish all yorubas can just think like me. If it is up to me, I would not get involve with Igbos at all at all !!! but then again as you rightly said, we have some very very stu.pid yoruba people that have and still bring down the honour of yoruba by exchanging words with them. ![]() But thanks Ybutterfly ![]() |
Ybutterfly:nah, I think they are all to blame including I myself. Ezeuche and Mekus etc we are all part of it. I am ashamed of it to be honest, But the reality is that Yoruba people are more or less liberal and would not want to shut them up. I guess it just got to a point where someone just had to do it. From then it just spiral out of control. ![]() But still if they continue the rubbish of insulting Yorubas and Hausa or northerners without a cause then I would be there waiting for them. They know ![]() |
Seunn11:mumu, can u shut it. what lack of creativity are u talking about ? is it the same nollywood the world now knows ? noollywood is not = igbo people should ignore the mumu ![]() |
Ybutterfly:Yes very true, But the Yorubas on NL are not any better ![]() Once you have people like seant02, Eko ile, bluetooth and co then You know tribalism has entered that discussion. Majority of them are not tribalistic but respond to tribalistic post because it is annoying to them as well. Action (tribalistic post) and reaction (Response) I really wish they can stop calling yorubas in every discussion but then again knowing them, they would not stop. That does not mean we should go on the attack. Although occasionally they need to be shut up. U get me |
Ybutterfly:Yes, I do not understand there fixation on Yoruba people or west of river Niger Even in meetings the leaders always talk of yoruba ![]() All said and done, I guess it is the love they have for yoruba or might be something else. Who knows All I just want you to do for me is ignore them even if those threads are the most tribalistic annoying thread u have seen about yoruba people. Pls just ignore it. If there is any need, leave them to me I and the NL igbos understand each other .Thanks for doing this for me |
htajz:No one spoke about ijaws or any ss All i am saying is that stop insulting the yorubas or northerners. Either insult the poster, tackle the topic and stop this ur delusion that all posters against Ojukwu are yorubas because I can bring out evidence of Ibibios, Ijaws, Edos, and even Igbos that called Ojukwu a coward of which they are well know public figures in there various societies Just stop it and continue with ur topic. As you can see, Yorubas and Northerner have avioded this topic like a plague. So stop pulling the dog's ear |
htajz:why not stop posting crap I can bring out articles of not only ijaws and mid westerners but also Igbos calling okukwu coward and differnet names Better leave Yoruba and fulani from ur post and we would be cool. |
Ybutterfly:You have to understand that in every society, there are stu.pid people which I am guilty of at times. The problem is they feed off the hate they get just us as in ur case as well. They are a very emotional people and see little things as hate for them. You need to understand the igbo people. It is a case of identity and complexes. They are mouthy and so are us the yorubas thus it is really hard for them and us to understand each other. Think of it this way. To them if a yoruba poster writes what they do not like, they view it as the WHOLE YORUBA ethnic group HATES them and as Humans as they are, they would react. the same with the yorubas, they would react as well. Ybutterfly, I would urge you to jsut leave them alone. Let them open as much bashing threads as they want, it is a case of love would always defeat hate aka in both cases. Because this is the same way I started and I would not want another tribalist on Nairaland, our people are not tribalistic. thanks |
Ybutterfly:calm down. Igbos are nice people in fact to a fault if u get to know them. Forget this NL rubbish. the igbos here are probably reacting to triibalistic threads opened by some stu.pid yoruba posters. Igbos are really cool people ![]() I am yoruba btw |
Abagworo:interesting, thanks |
Abagworo:where did i say they are not anioma Igbos ? Infact the link I brought suggest that the author wants anioma state to be part of SE. aka Igbo states so not doubt they are igbos. All I want is information on oluku mi people that is all. Igbo bu igbo. Igbo is Igbo whether anioma and co. again odumchi took me the that discussion which I never intended to get part of. All I want is Oluku mi people information. biko. |
As long as the person no be Yoruba sha. Who else should they turn against? You want then to come to your village so they proof that they're not against their own ppl?
Ileke idi, that is a very very silly thing to say. So the person that died is no human just because he is not yoruba. What is wrong with you |
GO BACK AND LOOK CAREFULLY. THEY ARE NOT CHANGED. THEY ARE LINED UP CORRECTLY. COUNT THEM 1 BY 1. TRUST ME, YOU DONT KNOW ANIOMA LOL
again they are anioma but why did that website give some false claims . They might be Igbo now but I really want to know of the Olukumis I do not really care what Nigerdelta congress say. I want someone who knows more of the oluku mi. thats all |

Seunn11:na wa o you knew what you are causing with this thread right ? Leave them alone, abi wetin. Leave Igbos alone and Ojukwu |
ezeagu:so far, not much. All I know right now is that they are part of anioma igbo people also they live in 4 areas delta north of ugbodu being the main place. some words and poem in Oluku mi language which was very interesting. Since some of you have been to delta north, maybe you can educate me more on olukumi people |
odumchi:Bros to be honest, That is another thread entirely; I would leave Ikas for the Ika people, I am talking of precisely Oluku mi people and my studies on them as a people. As an Awori Yoruba man as myself, I find it fascinating the similarity between Oluku mi people and my people. I am not doing anything funny here (because of the way u went defensive) I mean that the end of the day, they are now anioma people and the only connection they have with yorubas is the language. All I am trying to do is know more about them before I visit the place (Ugbodu), that is all. I want to use this medium to trace any ancient Yoruba words that have been lost. That is all. |
EzeUche:at least you know now PointB by the way, is mallam the new why of calling northerns and Ofe mmanu the new way of calling yoruba people ? |
odumchi:smh, Did you read the first few post i posted of course Ika is more related to the Binis aka edos but Oluku mi is a no and are part of the anioma ethnic group you can not call them Igbo as you wish. The Anioma culture over the time has become distinct and typical to the region, thus no ethnicity or group of people can justifiably lay claims to this culture because it is unique to the region. The uniqueness of this culture has ordinarily on its own tended to fend off arguments from quarters laying claims to the beautiful culture of this people. The Anioma culture they say speaks for itself. It has also beaten the imagination of several cultural observers on how speedily the culture and tradition of Anioma people have become homogenous in spite of the group not having common ancestral history as many historians mistakenly assume. Although certain communities in this region can lay claim to Igbo ancestry as supported by oral history, many of these group have their histories obviously not linking them with Igbo home as their place of origin. It is for this reason that those ignorant on Anioma history fail to understand that in Anioma more than 12 languages exists in this region alone. The Agbor people who are of Ika ethnic group but agreed to join the union of Anioma with the rest of their neighbouring communities scattered around the region chiefly because all the towns and communities in this region have had a common history of relationship even many centuries before the arrival of the Europeans, and have shared common culture speak Ozzara and Ika. The Ugbodu speak Olukumi (extinct form of Yoruba language,) Igbo and Igara. The Igara language is not typical to Ugbodu, else where in Evbu this language is also in use in addition to Igbo language. In Igbodo, Igbo and Ika is spoken by the people. Ika is a language similar to Bini. These languages strange to Igbo reflect in everyday usage in names of humans, articles, and chieftaincy titles shared with the Edos believed to be the ancestral home of many of these Anioma communities. http://www.ibusa.net/mysite/anioma2.htm |
odumchi:VERY VERY WRONG SIR. that is Igbo and certainly not Oluku mi. You are not an Oluku mi this are oluku mi words ita—pepper, ogede lila—plantain, ogede keke—banana; ku wu se—what are you doing; ule house; osa – market; oma—child; o dowuo—see you tomorrow, e bo—welcome Moreover I proved links for mine, why are you not doing the same For all I know, you can just be another person posting from his head to gullible people. |
