In Ontario,

1. you go for your G1 test first which is done on the computer(make sure you read your driving manual and there are lots of websites where you can do a mock test)

2. Once you pass your test, you can register for a G2- road test or G road test. P.S to register for G2 or G, you must submit a copy of your naija licence and letter of proof of years of driving given to you by FRSC in order not to wait for 12months before taking the road test and you must always be accompanied by someone with G2 or G class before you can drive if you have just G1.

3. You road test is anytime btw 15mins to 30mins depending on your instructor. G2 is mostly for driving in the neighborhood that doesn't involve you driving on the highway/express but if you must, you need yo have someone with G class license to be in the same car with you while with G-class license, you can drive anywhere on your own.

4. Before taking G2 or G, try to do practice drive with an instructor to give you an idea of what is expected.

Others can chip in or correct me if I'm wrong.

P.S Ignore the blunders, can't proofread now.

This letter of proof of driving from FRSC, is there a number of years of driving experience needed in Ontario Or can someone with just a year of Nigerian driving experience still use it

Are you saying medicals has been extended for those who are in the US? Please can you confirm this.

I have received an ADR but I have not been asked to re do my medicals even though it is now expired. what can I do in this case ? Should I re do my medicals? Has anyone had this situation?

Yeah I was in one Indian WhatsApp group for 2020 AOR and many of the ones residing in the US confirmed that their medicals had been extended, while the ones that did medicals in Nigeria, India etc got ADR for remed. To be extra sure, you can call IRCC and ask the agent if your medicals have been extended though I think you’d have gotten the ADR if it hadn’t.

Yours has probably been extended like they do for many US applicants, I don’t see why you should bother.

Yep on the bright side, I think they act on the web form weeks b4 they even reply so if you want to add something/someone via web form just send the documents via thé first web form, no need sending web form to ask questions first unless you’re ready to wait 2 months for a reply

I've worked for myself since Jan 2021 but I only stated documenting it(salary, payslips) since April 2021 it is easier to prove from that time). Another thing is, I submitted a study permit application recently and I included my CV which stated I started my present job January 2021, I hope it won't be misinterpreted if I pick April 2021-Present for EE?

Shouldn’t be an issue imo. You only need to prove 1 year anyway. Just count well to make sure your one claimable year isn’t shorting by even one day. Since they already have your CV, You can always include a LOE for why you ain’t claiming the other 4 months. Better to do this than to be caught looking like you’re telling lies.

1. What additional forms I need to include. I read about some additional forms like Schedule A, Schedule 4 and IMM0008. Do they need to be filled and uploaded before submitting or I wait for them to be requested for by the VO.

2. I am combining fixed deposit and pension finds as proof of funds. Please do I need to write a letter of explanation or just upload the fixed deposit certificate, letter and pension account statement with an explanation?

If you’re a pnp nominee submit schedule 4 and nomination certificate in the additional placeholder when you’re submitting your application. Waiting for ADR will just cause delays.

2. If you’ve had the FD for over a year, you can submit just the certificate alongside pension documents. If it’s less than a year, also submit documents showing how you got the funds for the FD. Then write a few lines explaining what documents you’ve attached just so nothing gets overlooked

For those trying to reach IRCC, here is a post I came across and since it worked for me, it could work for someone too. I got connected at once after trying it. Please make sure your V.O is not outside Canada before calling them for enquiries on your application. Enjoy!

How to call IRCC within a min.

Go to ur play store or Apple store, download an app called Viber. After confirming it, dial +1-800-267-6788

Calling hrs is between 8am and 4pm which is 12noon to 8pm Nigeria time at the moment.

They operate in such a way that before there client support can receive calls, it must be exactly 8am

So you'll call them like 3 mins to that 8am

When you call, you'll first press 1 to select English

You'll press 2 to be connected to IRCC and this period, they'll tell you that client support department is closed but never mind.... Continue

After that you'll be asked to press 1 to provide your UCI but press 2 that you don't have

It doesn't affect anything because once they pick you'll still provide your UCI again and you need not to waste time providing it again thereby taking more time you are spending on the call

So this period, you'll be asked to choose number again, you can take style to waste time by listening to the options so that the time would be like 1 min to 12noon. Your phone time

The next number you'll choose is after pressing 2 that you don't have UCI is 3

After that, the next number you'll press is 2

Then the last number to direct you to the agent is 0, the moment your time changes to 12 noon exactly, press 0

Infact, the call won't spend 5 seconds before an agent will pick

If you missed this time, you can try it later but what they'll tell you is that there are plenty people on queue. You have to call back later and if you are lucky to be connected, get ready to wait for as long as 1hr if at all an agent picks it

Oh boy, I submitted March 10, no mail till date.
And when I mailed VFS Accra to ask if it's there, they said they didn't have my records. Tracking on the website, said the package is still in transit after a whopping 20+ days. I just weak.

Everything in this journey is just stressful, someone cannot even exhale and relax after PPR. Did it take this long to stamp passports pre-Covid or is this just one of the several consequences of the backlog

So my husband got (FSW) AOR January 2021.. his medicals showed passed in February..we got married in March 2021, he added me to his application same March. We submitted everything required. And his medicals moved from passed to we are reviewing your medical s.. And the application has been on hold since then we have sent websform, mail.. No response. Nothing has moved or changed for over a year now. Even my medicals is over year. Nothing has been heard. My medicals was not acknowledged. No ghost update nothing.. Pls what means can we use again. It’s just tiring for over a year now

This is sad, not even remed requests. You should try calling, if they pick they’re going to tell you what’s passed and what’s not. Also ordering gcms notes might help give you a clue.

IOM and Qlife are two places you can do medicals, the appointments are usually booked for up to 5 weeks ahead so the earlier you book the better. Since you’ve gotten ITA you should book asap. You can book on their websites.

I’m not sure you’re allowed to claim points for FSW using your mom’s uncle, please read well on the topic b4 you proceed.

If you’re quoting the bolded to prove that what she filled during EOI can’t be used to judge her main application then you’re wasting your time. They clearly stated it’s for reference and now they’re referring to it.


If you still have access to what she filled during EOI and can confirm she never filled cousin then why not just respond and attach scanned documents showing what she filled during EOI. Tell them she never filled cousin and if she ever did it must have been a mistake. Be very humble about it too. Send all the extra proof you can find, including photos, to show that the person is indeed a sister in law because right now they suspect she’s trying to pay someone to play relative.

How do you mean you can’t find your datas anywhere, it’s right there if you click on check full application status. It’s currently saying not submitted, so when you click on application status try to transmit your latest changes so that it starts showing submitted.

Also that site is crazy, sometimes you log in and you really can’t find anything at all on your profile, just log out and log in at a later time and it will fix itself.

According to cic news, it seems like IRCC may resume draws within the next few months. Although, application processing time is still estimated to take between 2-3 years but this will be a step forward for most people that can't afford to go to school abroad.

I doubt the bolded sha, they’ve really improved on processing times recently and I doubt they’ll let it go back to 2-3 years after the criticism they’ve faced for the 2019/20 application timelines. It’s going back to 6 months or less

Looking at the NOC site ,the employment requirement say degree must be Business related.

You can claim it for FSW. You can claim any NOC from the 0, A and B category as long as you have the experience, degree doesn’t matter but you can’t claim it if you’re applying to SINP because they want your degree to be related to your work experience.

Please oooooo, seniors it seems i have been doing the wrong thing. Thats why its always good to ask questions no wonder i have just been in the pool wasting time and not getting nomination.

1. Does Ontario pick people with old profiles i.e 3 months to expiration.

2. I noticed Ontario is presently picking people who created their profile March last year till march this year. Before they'd get to July, it may be 4 months time. Should i create a new profile? I'm thinking if i do, I may be lucky. For example i create my profile March 28th, meaning they'd start from March 28 last year to March 28 this year.

Help me o, my brain is jam packed

Have they sent any NOIs to your NOC/CRS without sending to you? Or have you ever ignored NOI from them, if yes, new profile will probably get you an NOI. If no, just wait until if/when they remember your noc/CRS

I haven't opened this thread in about 2-3 weeks and I'm surprised at the number of pages I have to read but I'm still reading. One thing that caught my attention is the processing time for people that got their invitation to apply last year, from their PPR testimonies, their processing time took less than 10 months and I'm shocked as well as extremely happy. I'm now very hopeful

For people that got ITA late last year, processing time is now at 4 months, sometimes less. Many November AOR have gotten PpR already and a few December as well.
