Someone told me to reach out to the schools I was applying to and show them what I had (document by document evaluation), that they'll accept it. I did as the person said and the school accepted it. Some were just fine with the WAEC and a scratch card.

Hope this helps
Thank you

I'm in the same shoe. Did you go ahead with it? Cos I was surprised to see just school and personal information after evaluation was completed. Heard its supposed to be a course-by-course evaluation, if you want to see your grades and total CGPA. I sent a message to WES about upgrading my evaluation and they said there's no course-by-course evaluation for WAEC result. I'm confused at this point.
Curious to know how this finally ended

yes, but every school has a method of communication with WES some by fax, some by email, others maybe through courier service. just tell your admin and records dept in your school and they know what to do. let them know it's for IRCC Canada, any other country they use will be futile, they must send your original transcript and photocopy of your results, etc. cos any doc sent cant be retrieved.
Thanks so much

When you apply for WES verification, you get a reference Code with which you will apply for a Transcript. The school will send the transcript to WES with the reference you provided.
Thanks, I actually wanted to know if the school will send certificate alongside the transcript

Hello All,

I am relocating to Ottawa this summer with my family. We landed last year and we hope the plantets align well for us.

I have been benefiting from some of the settlement services in advance of our relocation and thought I should share this with those of you with PR looking to move as well.

This is my list of websites and things to do:

1. https://nextstopcanada.ca/
2. https://aeipsuccess.ca/eligibility
3. https://www.jvstoronto.org/pre-arrival/
4. https://outpostrecruitment.com/blog/
5. https://accesemployment.ca/
6. Update your resumé using the templates in 4. above
7. Connect to people on linkedIN and continue to post updates on here so we can sharpen the saw together.

Will appreciate if anyone has tips for living and working in Ottawa for a family of 5.

Welcome to Ottawa I guess, from a family of 5 also living in Ottawa. I wish I had tips, could send you a link to the Nigerians in Ottawa WhatsApp groups if you’re not there already

Hi guys, if someone graduates from a Nigerian university and immediately applies for A Canadian Masters degree with no Nysc or any kind of work experience, would that lead to a visa denial? Her parents would be sponsoring her and can show/pay whatever funds are needed.

Very good points.

Something I hadn't even thought of.
Most people would just want foodstuff. If someone wants to let you buy and pack the foodstuff yourself then that’s great. Don’t carry what someone else has bought and packed. Even if it’s not coke, some might want to use a chance like this to bring goods in the ‘not allowed’ list.

Good day house ,
Please what should someone that lost his passport after PPR do? IRCC have been informed of the incident with all supporting documents that lead to the passport been stolen via the webform. There’s no response yet. The 30 days given to submit passport will lapse next week and it also seems getting a lost passport replaced is an inundated task. It might take like 3 months to get a new passport.
Will this have any effect on one’s application ? Will the application be reopened ?
Please help a brother out…

3 months?
If you’re in Lagos, you can get your passport in a week…2 at most. When did you get PPR? IRCC isn’t always so strict with the 30 day deadline. Hope you contacted them by responding to your PPR mail. That’s the fastest way.
Send a dm if this is still an issue

Please for anyone who recently traveled to Canada.

Will you need to do pcr test even if you re fully vaccinated?

I haven’t travelled yet but I know You don’t need a Covid test if you’re fully vaccinated. To be considered fully vaccinated, your final dose (not booster) of the vaccine must be taken not less than 14 days b4 travel.

Hey fam, someone needs advice?

The principal applicant, in addition to her full time job, also has a side hustle (online mobile data sales), transactions for which will also feature in her 6-month statement of account. Should that be a cause for concern?

And if that activity must be captured in the 10-year personal activities profile, how can it be done? Thanks
Mention is personal history and explain that it’s an online job that you did in your spare time

Let me make it simple for us both....

By nature; when humans see an opportunity to exploit; they take it to the max.

Government job is to ensure that such "loopholes" do not exist in the first place
Agreed o, no energy to argue. Since the government has obviously failed us, let us now exploit the system as much as we can.

Let’s face it, the entire blame lies with the government and its policy makers. It’s generally not in humans to be nice or altruistic, especially on economic matters. Most people would try to exploit any deficits in a government’s policy or try to use them to their advantage. This has bred different techniques of paying less taxes or exploiting crude exchange rate policies. I’m sure even you will find yourself looking for a few holes once you get the Canada. If there’s an economic hole somewhere, best believe someone will try to exploit it. This has been studied severally in economics and is known as the efficient market hypothesis. Nigerians don’t owe the government altruism when it comes to the exchange rate which is a purely economic reality. Nigerians only owe the government the duty of operating within the scope of the law. It’s the government’s duty to implement sound economic principles that will punish speculators or stem any actions which threaten the nation’s currency. Using force won’t cut it. I know people may have different opinions, but the confidence in the government is at an extreme low and you can’t blame those who would exploit this for economic benefits. It’s the law of the market and is as old as time itself. It’s up to the government to join in this game and to play it well.
We’ve dug ourselves into such a pit in Nigeria that it’s going to take more than just any government to get us out of it. Saying the entire blame lies with the government is just a lazy way of looking at it in my opinion. I know the government has a huge portion of the blame but I CAN also blame those who choose to exploit the system.

This naija enh, a lot of people travelling with return ticket especially this summer holiday had plans of getting PTA and selling to aboki which will drive the volatility further. so all get as e be jare
True, I’ve been thinking of it too. We can blame Buhari and the CBN governor all we like but the level of greed and get-rich-quick in everybody’s blood in Naija is also a big problem. It’s still the same people screaming about dollar rate that are desperately pushing the rate towards N1000 per dollar so that they can make more money when selling. What’s the use of making all that naira if the currency is practically worthless.

I’ll buy black market - this is Nigeria
Nawao. The way people are travelling with return ticket and no PTA these days is scary. The bank workers are not helping matters with their wuruwuru. They’re using the dollars to settle their own contacts. My dad was telling me how he deposited a thousand dollars in UBA last week and tried to get it back almost immediately, just to be told there was no dollar. They ended up giving him 850 after much drama.
