she should have as many as it takes to find someone she feels ready to spend the rest of her life with (if that is her goal). It is the hope of most people that this number will be small because

1) The girl should be learning more about what she wants and how to find it each time
2) If the girl is discarding guys left and right, her goal isn't quite to find someone she is ready, or she has really strict requirements that make it hard for guys to measure up
3) Stupid societal views on women

bride price is ritual acknowledgement of the parents role in the upbringing of their daughter.  They have raised the most beautiful treasure and the bride price you pay signifies your acknowledgement of their efforts.  If you truely think about it, almost nobody has ever truely paid the monetary price that equals the investment parents have made in their children and compared to that, bride price is just a token gesture.

Nothing happens without a reason. The fact that something "pops up from the blues" doesn't mean it has no cause. It simply means I don't know why it happened - maybe I was not attentive or I really don't have enough knowledge in the area of relationshps and communication. If you have knowledge about something, then when there is a problem at least you will know why and what your options are.

There are people that specialize in the dynamics of relationships and really have a lot of information about what makes relationships fail and what makes others work, but we don't utilize them. Instead we make assumptions based from our upbringing and culture, and we act based on our emotions.

True nothing happens without a reason, but most people are in relationships with humans. Unless you have nothing else to do that to spend a few minutes each day pondering your actions and words (and you'll have to spend some time while you SO is asleep anticipating anything and preparing quick responses so the other time you spend thinking doesn't get noticed), you are doomed to make a mistake. For couples who spend a lot of time together, ie 12+ hours a day, the opportunities for you to do something that would get on the other person's nerves are greatly increased.

Since you're typically in a reciprocative relationship, you expect to be able to be yourself and that your partner would accept most of your faults. However, unless you are one of those rare very small number of faults people and your partner is the same, chances are if you are in the spend lots of time together group, you cannot get away from chipping away at your SO's patience. As a result, you'd tend to have arguments.

Another thing is that humans take the good or the expected for granted and we get upset with bad or unexpected. When the microphone works at an event, we don't thank or appreciate the sound ppl. When the mic acts up, then we're like, wtf is up with those idiots? Or we don't always think to show our appreciation for someone holding the door for us. But the day the door slams in our faces, either accidentally or on purpose, we blow up.

Additionally, as human, we have longer memories of things that hurt us. Its how we condition reflexes from birth. Tell a child not to play with matches, you have a slim chance of the kid paying attention. Have the child burn themselves, you can be sure unless they are pyromaniacs or masochistic, they will have learned the lesson. I'm betting that people here (on this forum) memories of their worst spankings as kids (for those who are no longer kids) is more vivid that most memories of nice happy times.

So, we tend to remember the arguments more in a relationship, especially in the heat of another one. At those times, couples are at their weakest because what's foremost in mind is typically no the good parts of your SO. However, it cannot be escaped and for those couples who want to make things work and truely love each other, its an opportunity to blow off steam and can raise issues for calm discussion afterwards.

In any case, I guess my . . . issue with most of the posts here, and your previous one is not exactly on how homosexuality begins or arises in people, though it does affect some peoples' views somewhat, instead its should homosexuals be allowed to raise children. I don't think anyone has brought up any reasonable arguments why not. Even arguments based on learned behavior don't hold much weight simply due to the sheer numbers of homosexual ppl from avowed heterosexual parents. Arguments based on religion are equally invalid. Even assuming that homosexuals are sinners, christians consider ALL non-christians to be sinners. So, if one were to argue from that standpoint that homosexuals shouldn't be allowed to raise children, then they would also have to agree with the statement that ALL sinners cannot raise children. . at which point, NOBODY can raise children - which defeats the purpose of any argument as to who is eligible.

There have been a couple extremely stupid arguments - ppl implying that homosexuals are pedophiles or incestuous, and at best, I would blast anyone making such a blatant and extremely derogatory, stupid, hateful, and rhymes with racist -ist statements. (I wouldn't term this homophobic because that does not necessarily imply hatred, just ignorance).

I guess the facts you want to discuss will simply lead to justification for gay sex. There is a moral issue here, and no amount of intellectualising will make it right. Maybe you can give us all a frame work / agenda of topics on homosexuality to discuss

1.Learned Homosexuality.
2.Genetic Disorder causing homosexuality.
3. Food additives and their contribution to homo....
etc etc.
4. Climatic conditions and it link with homosexuality.
5. Position of the planets and its contribution to homosexuality.
etc

This debate could go on for years, and someone would be awarded a PhD for it. The same could then apply to Cannibalism and your right to eat meat..... Somewhere along the line, the human race MUST draw a line.

Asuming that #s 3, 4 and 5 are jokes, there are many cases of parents raising children in very strict christian homes and the children still were homosexual. Assuming no priest preyed on them as children, it kinda scratches #1. Assuming #2 is correct, is it necessarily a genetic disorder? It is easy to say someone's difference is a disorder - "he's such a color because of genetic defects".

if women are going to say - men are goats or pigs or whatever and will continue to be this way, then why do you seriously expect other behavior. If you want to change guys, try not putting all of them down and instead saying things like, "most men can be faithful and having good relationships unlike this idiot here". Young boys just don't learn their habits from the males around them. If they hear women constantly saying things like that about how they expect me to behave, then they can see it as normal and expected behavior.

Not only has the current bible been shaped by the politics of the catholic church, it is incomplete. I think I would love to hold discussions with Ethiopian christians and find out how much protestant (in this case baptist) views differ from theirs. Its too bad so much of the early church history is lost.

By context or definition, a car is something owned and used by the average (well. . in the USA) person for personal->family size transportation for point to point trips usually not lasting more than 2 hours and covering small (<400mi) distances. Planes when used for point to point transportation usually travel over longer distances. Additionally, they are typically much larger than cars and would use up more road space.

So, a flying car would be a car with flight capabilities, however, it would still fill the transporation niche of cars - it would not be the mode of choice for super long trips (unless you're family is going on a "road-trip"). It would be used for transportation from home to work, shop, etc just like cars are used now.

The final difference is price. Currently, the fuel required for planes and helicopters are pretty expensive. While the range and use of helicopters could come into the range of use of a flying car, the typical flying car would have to have a lifetime cost that is similar to cars of today. Fueling for heli's are just too expensive.

If we're defining a church as an assembly of christians, then one does not need to have a pastor to have a church. That being the case, there is nobody to "subordinate" yourself to. If you choose to be a part of a church that has a pastor, by definition, you are accepting his/her leadership. So, there are no inconsistencies with either view.

i think you just have no game whatsoever and the fat guy's you see have way more than you. Plain and simple.
