Jobs/VacanciesRe: How Much Salary Is Enough For Good Living In Nigeria; this Year 2023? by alphabbey1(m): 4:22pm On Jan 23, 2023
COMPAQ:
In Lagos, Abuja and PH, I would say a household income of N1.5mln net is required.

In most other cheaper cities like Ibadan, Abeokuta, Akure, Enugu, Calabar, Uyo, N1mln net will keep you quite comfortable. In these cities a 3bedroom house that will be N2.5mln in Lagos can be as cheap as N600k to N1mln. And food is cheaper too and you will spend less petrol moving around because traffic is much less.
.
What you don't know is, someone earning 1.5m monthly will be in his own house, not in a 2.5m rented apartment..... He can collect a room self contain close to his work, put family in his built house and be visiting them when chanced.... Only a rich person will be paying 2.5m house rent, not a salary earner....

Salary is not for life, so u won't see anyone collecting such amount and waste it on house rent.

First of all, Post the things you have to sell...

And it's pretty wierd of you to write all these without giving any update about your friend...
You are just coming out of 2 months bondage, locating your friend should be the top Priority now....
It's more like u've taken your loss, rescind to your fate and ready to chest all the loss... if that's the case, I can assure u, nobody will contribute 1 Naira for u here knowing your so called friend is somewhere ordering Azul, and doing doings...

Coz the right thing is to seek help on how to locate ur friend first, seeking monetary help can come up later or never come up at all....

I was just been told primary school education is free for children especially in dundee..

The only clause my partner must pick them closing ours
School is not every day. Who takes care of them after school ?... The bone of contention is, you have £12,900 deficit... how do you want to pay that if you need to devote time for the kids, having in mind being young, they cannot be left at home alone.... You seem not to understand your 20 hours per week will hardly pay house rent, major responsibilities will be on your dependant (your wife) and she need to give in her 110%, go the extra mile, and I still doubt you guys will still be able to meet up with all the bills....

You really think there's a Job that will allow ur wife to save £1,000 per month ? You still said there's option of "she have to pick the kids every closing hour"... You better have close to full tuition fee before you embark on the journey....

Did you also check your school's fee payment schedule ?

I wonder how you think its possible for your wife to do 2 to 3 jobs with kids on ground...

You need to widen your search to get access to someone living in Scotland to better enlighten you more on situation on ground....

My kids aren't that old enough. I don't think i can leave them except am going alone which doesn't help, in terms of partner having more hours to work to support financially

I was told Scotland is less expensive than outside London especially for a family
The fact they're not old enough is even more reason why you have to let them stay....
Anyone advising you to take them, ask that person how feasible it is to work and pay £12,900 school fees within a year coupled with house rent, you and children feeding, clothing, and miscellaneous.....

Kindly note there presence will also reduce the amount of time either you or the mother can work...

Good morning guys ..

Please what's your advice.

Am a Lagos state teacher with a family of four.Even with the job,it as not been able to cater for my family monthly and its tiring,so there's no point.I embark on taking up my masters in Education to give me a better chance of securing a teaching job in the UK and more so, I learnt UK would be looking for qualified teachers soon and Nigeria is one of the qualified countries too.
Am working with an agent (ahzassociates), and they made me understood that a school like Dundee in scotland would give me room to breath (3k first payment for tuition which also gives me my Cas out of 15900k) by not asking 50℅ proof of funds on enrolment, unlike other schools outside London who request for 50% Pof at enrollment. I am skeptical about Dundee, based on the fact that i learnt they spend Scottish pounds which is a lower to British pounds and also its always cold over there than UK.

What re the chances of getting jobs and living a better life with opportunities, family ,and life after school between Scotland and outside London?

Please I need your sincere advise guys ..

Sorry if I made any typographical errors.
First and most important of all, don't make the mistake of bringing your kids along with you. Take only you and your wife and let the kids be with your parent.... People that cannot afford full tuition fee have no business travelling with kids....
It is also advisable you have 50% of tuition fee before you embark on this journey, without this, you will only be setting yourself for the worst experience and might lead to your coming back home....

Whatever information u need about Scotland and Dundee University, search it on YouTube and check its comment section that's where your answer lies.... and which ever country you go, as far as its not Africa, Dubai, Turkey, Cyprus, East Europe, and some other God forsaken countries, you will be fine....

The main cause of this is the mentality of women adopting their husbands' name after marriage.

A very wrong idealogy
All said the man is very very wrong

It's not the woman's making biologically and otherwise
.
What of the children, will they adopt mother's name as well ?
Its necessary for someone's lineage name to continue. You can't just let your ancestors sweat go in vain....

First of all, Females are better investment than men... not even in this world were women get job and sympathy faster than men A father that wants better financial security for himself in the future better pray he gets a female Child...

To continue his family name, Best thing to do is artificial insemination But his broke nature won't allow him and he keeps blaming the innocent wife for all his shortcomings.... You are broke, your sperm cannot produce a male, and you are blaming mother nature for that...

A female child is the most important child for future financial security.... any father with no female child should better plan to secure his future himself coz even after labouring on son of Adam, he will take care of his wife's family pass you....

As I've written before, I have more social, political and economic rights as an Igbo man in the USA than in Nigeria. That's fact. You don't know this because like most Nigerians, you're IGNORANT of the laws of your country.

For example, you probably don't know that you can't own land in Nigeria. You THINK you own land, but you don't. That's the LEGAL REALITY, at any time your State Governor can take what you THINK is your land. You get CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY, in the USA here I get a perpetpual TITLE OF DEED.

My children have a higher likelihood of becoming President of the United States than any Igbo has of becoming President of Nigeria.

Sit down a moment and think critically of what Nigeria is and what it means. You're still in darkness. You will learn
Post full of such fallacy. From the first point of 0.5% earning 200k/month to this gibberish comment. Better widen your horizon. what remain to complete your disdain post is to include "there are no homeless, broke white US citizen"

You are actually making zero sense. And only want to create an unnecessary argument based on lie....
First of all, no state or federal Goverment in Nigeria have any power to reclaim your land or house unless it falls amidst Goverment road which is pretty same anywhere in the world..... Meaning of C of O can be seen below to educate u more.... I can't believe someone will just wake up and think its easier to be homeless in Nigeria than in US....

And about a black man having chance to become US president before Nigeria produce an Igbo President, I don't even want to explore that so as not to bring my IQ down to your level. Coz even a layman knows reverse is the case....

FamilyRe: Separation From A Rich And Violent Spouse by alphabbey1(m): 9:35pm On Jan 16, 2023
geraldo077:
Dear Op,

I will advise that she should hire a lawyer and seek for the dissolution of the marriage in court so they can be separated in the eyes of the law.

Her lawyer should also ask that she should take custody of the kids but her husband will be in charge of the kids general welfare and also have access to see them weekly or monthly.

He being rich has nothing to do with this case, she's fed up and she wants to leave. She also need to present proof of the verbal assault.
It doesn't work this way bro, those kids are matured enough for the father to claim full custody.... The husband can definitely have full custody of all the kids if the lady have nothing doing and have no financial capacity to bred the kids.... nothing like sending money to the kids against his will. If the mother wants full custodian of them, she will bare full responsibility

If the wife is capable enough, the kids will be shared. Nothing like the wife having sole ownership unless the man acceed to it... they are 3 children, I believe the husband will have the eldest and the woman will take the remaining 2. And if unfortunately just as the OP said " the man is richer than the lady", with money and connection, he will 100% have full custody of all the kids.......

Good evenning ,

I came back home from work this night to find out my wife and my son have packed and abandoned me .
.
Your wife packed out
Reason:
1) you are not financially stable

You've never beat her and her family support her packing!!!
Reason:
1) You are not financially stable
2) You don't send her family enough money

She doesn't want to come back
Reason:
1) You are still not financially stable

You always nag, insecure and quick to anger
1) You are not financially stable
2) she's full house wife and doesn't contribute to any bills

Solution:
Be financially stable

Result:
She will regret her actions and start painting u bad on social media, constantly nagging on how u abandon your son just like wizkid Ex
But you will not accept her or she becomes second wife.....

A family going on a student visa may experience a very rough 1st year due to the fact that only one spouse works full time as the student can only do 20 hours.
2nd year will be okay when both spouse works full time. Even the worst is both couples earn £1,500 each after tax = £3k/month.
House rent PCM - £800 for 2bdrm apartment.
Groceries - £300 maximum.
Bills (electricity, water, gas) - £200
Internet - Home and mobile - £50
Transport - £200
Miscellaneous - £150
Balance = £1,300.
That means the couple can conveniently save £1,300 every month provided it's a low job o.

Save the £1,300 for 24 months (2years) = £31,000 that is 28million naira.
You can now take it to Nigeria and invest in something good for yourself. That's another income without working.
Now you get it
£800 for 2 bedroom apartment grin.... see this clown. Tell me you've never been to UK without telling me you've not been to UK

This is worth it by far

I don't know why Nigerians in UK has launched a campaign to discourage ppl from coming.

Most people in Nigeria earning over 500k monthly can't save 28m in 20 years self

Imagine if the couple can save 1500 to 2000 monthly?
That guy is obviously sugar coating the real scenario. Lol, "comfortably save 28m" in 2 years ..
Reach there first... You will know why people just use UK as a stepping stone to better countries....

U can go private if u like and from my experience, apart from shorter waiting time in private, there's no difference is quality of care delivered btw NHS and private
I brought my dad here for glaucoma laser surgery, very few private hosp perform the procedure, something that's done like pure water under NHS.
The waiting time is not part of quality between the rich and poor ?

1. Local reduced fees
2. Scholarships ( I'm sure you've read of Nigerians offered over 7 scholarships worth millions of dollars to multiple ivy leagues in the US here on nairaland)
3. Or even....scholarships. ( yes, they are available as an oprion if you want. Some use it to buy new cars or just live large in school; but it's available. Gbajabiamila just introduced it as legislature under consideration for nigeria, if it wasn't an advantage why would nigeria seek to adopt it?)

A Nigerian with a green card gets to pay local fees or even free schorlarship based for their kids with study loans to foot all the bills and don't have to give the child any kobo unless they want to.

You see the difference?

Car na pure water here. Walk into any dealership with just good credit amd a regular source of income and you'll drive out a brand new car.

Travel? You're already abroad so just drive or fly to all the world famous spots. And go to naija for Christmas like igbos do

Healthcare is free, same place your president buhari goes for treatment

The lecturer in naija sometimes has to sell handouts illegally, take bribes for marks etc

A professors salary is 400 to 500k naira. So your prof sending 1k$ to the daughter monthly has another source of income not just salary

There's no justification for bad governance
I stopped reading the moment you mentioned the bolded. Student loan ? For real!!! That's an advantage you can think of ?

How about you ask those that collected those loan to give u first hand aftermath experience...

And talking of health care, u better be talking of other countries other than US...
And healthcare ain't free in UK, u'll pay for that stuff right before you leave Nigeria...

Healthcare is free in Nigeria also if you are under NHIS.... University students in Nigeria are enjoying free healthcare.... Goverment workers are enjoying free healthcare.....
