Apply for all same day, picking same date for everyone if the date is available on TLS otherwise, do walk in (must be same date as the one already picked) for anyone who has a different date from others

Good After everyone. Pls I’m new here and I do not really know how to navigate on nairaland. I need your help.

I and my family ( myself my wife and our 10 month old daughter ) applied for a student visa which myself and my daughter are dependent. We all started the application together but when we’re to pay for health surcharge and visa fee, my passport wasn’t ready so my wife alone proceeded with we delayed my daughter’s. My self and my daughter later had out appointments at the TLS a month after and a day after our appointment, my wife’s visa came out and she left Nigeria on the 13th of February due of the school deadline date . The problem now is that my daughter whom we did biometric together of the 8th of February already received a mail and I have picked up her passport since 24th of February. Up till now my passport isn’t out nor any message received. I’m so worried pls. I sent them a paid mail on the 3rd of March and I was told to wait for 10 working days . I sent them another mail 5days after to know the update and I was told to send all my details. Later I got another mail telling me to wait till another 15 working days and I shouldn’t send a mail anymore till the 15 working days elapse

I guessed, it's part of their latest update on visa issuance.

Pray n hope your school issue CAS on time, otherwise, bombard them with mails n calls to do so on time; because as it stands, what happened (most couldn't meet resumption deadline) to a lot of folks in January might repeat itself again

Again, for those running poooof, there will be increment in cost incurred.

These people are fucking unpredictable, whatever one wants to do, do it ASAP

Pre masters and masters
In the offer letter I was given a gap date to pay the deposit and rest of the balance

To pay 5kplus before 3rd and balance the rest when am to enroll

Did the pre cas interview
Got reply from them the same day within hours self
I cleared the interview

The questions was so smooth


Now my course start date is 4th of April
Course is international business and management

Please does De Montfort university release cas on time..Since on the 9th way I don do the pre cas interview I no fit sleep well..somebody please reply.thank you

Get in touch with reminding them of your expected resumption date and telling them to expedite action

No NSF and no paid mail.

It took 7 working days, I am still amazed.
Document submitted: TB test, Photo Album, Marriage certificate, Landed Property to show our names, Telex Copy of school fees paid, Expenses on my spouse account, Statement of account for my spouse and myself, Vignette for my spouse and BRP of my spouse.

But please who can explain what was written on my visa. It says "Restricted Work, No Sport person and no public funds.

Please what does Restricted Work means ooo.

Visa rush has gone down drastically, imagine a standard application taking 7 days.

Means you can't work in some restricted job(s) - sport, civil n public service being some of them.
You can't work as a medical Dr or Dentist too. When you go for your BRP, you can find out which others there are if you wish

Chester has started issuing CAS since last Monday for May intake. Don't dull, get in touch them or bombard them with mails n calls if you haven't received any mail on what next to do to get your CAS.

They have a new system in place though - CAS Shield

Hello guys! Can I print a bank statement from 16th February to 15th March? Also, since I’m not in Nigeria, can I print the bank statement from Wema ALAT app? The bank statement doesn’t have a Wema Bank written on it. It has ALAT with a telephone number and email for enquiry.

Yes you can print seems it is more than the required 28days
If you can ascertain that the contacts lead back to WEMA, you are good

Is the deposit refundable i.e. A student-friendly refund policy? You have nothing to lose if they have a refund policy other than admin charges forth n back (say $300 @ most) should you pay and they insist the deadline

When is the deadline ? If you are ready to make the payment today or tomorrow and the deadline is today or 2 days back, you can risk it knowing that it usually takes days b4 their system can pick up the payment

OR ALTERNATIVELY

Do you have contact of anyone in the accounting section? Mail them explaining your situation with the CBN form A policy (add evidence of your form A application with date showing) and also apply for an extension of days or a week that you are sure won't fail.
If need be, escalate it to other teams like international team, admission team, etc

This policies and deadlines are not cast on stones - they can be waived in some genuine cases

Following the approval of my form to the ADB_DISBURSEMENT_REVIEWER since on the 9th March, I decided to visit the bank branch today to find out what is causing the delay, and I heard the shocking story of my life.

I met the ADB_Reviewer of Adeniji Jones branch, and he clarified to me that there are lot of pending requests and they are still awaiting CBN to release FX, and I asked again that it is peculiar to pounds, and he said even USD.

My question is;

-How long will this take ?
-Is CBN out of foreign reserves or prioritizing things
-Is this an Access Bank issue only

What alternative have anyone adopt and pls share the time line to guide us right !

The ADB guy is in a better position to answer those ??s , however, this usually happens during rush season (UK schools intake) like Dec, March, April, July August etc i.e. A month preceding start dates.
As for $, the war in Ukraine is a factor

Good! If you have accepted. Don't wait, just follow thru as the stages progress. They can't rescind since you already accepted but some schools usually give a timeline to accept or reject an offer - conditional or unconditional.

Whatever you are doing as an intending student, or an actual student, pls do not plagiarize. It is frowned at over there.

Stories abound of students who have their studies abruptly ended or were issued a lower level of qualification different from what they intended to bag inintially.
I know someone who was awarded zero after initially scoring the highest mark in a class assignment in GCU - an ordinary assignment you would say

I have gotten an offer letter from University of Sussex for Masters, but I want to get a new passport before starting the process, which I might not get until end of April. Resumption is September 19. I hope starting the visa application process in May/June isn't too late?

Secure the admission with your old passport first and when the new one comes out, update them with it. In fact, tomorrow maybe too late as these schools are receiving massive applications on a daily

All in all, make sure you have the refusal letter(s) with you as some school admission/International/CAS team are moving maaaaaad these days.

My international passport bears my maiden name and I used the same maiden name for University application, while my bank account and BVN bears my married name.

The challenge now is that my married name is on the statement of account (for Proof of funds) -which I'll use to apply for Visa- and it's different from my maiden name which will be on the CAS.

Please can I go ahead to apply for visa with my married name or what do you suggest I do to prevent any issue?

I have supporting evidence for my change of name; my marriage certificate, sworn affidavit and newspaper publication.

Yes, you are good since you have all docs as evidence.
Meanwhile, you can head to your bank and effect a proper name change or inclusion to totally avoid NSF

As at yesterday 10th, they still attended to some walk ins in Lagos. Make sure you get there early, let the security details at the gate know its URGENT, prepare to pay for the test via your app and if you really lucky you might get your result same day (this is not guaranteed) if you done with your test b4 11am

My agent is just telling me yesterday that the POF is not enough that I should either add 1800 to the my pof or pay an additional 1600k pounds for tuition.

Pls take note that I'm going for April batch and the University has sent me a mail that the last date to issue cas is on 18th of Match.

Pls what should I do? It took more than a month to process form A. She is suggesting I ask someone inthe UK to pay for me, which is not possible because I don't have anybody there. If she had informed me on time I would have added 1800 dollars to my account.

Pls will this prevent me from getting cas?

Or better still, prevail on your agent to help you get a contact in UK who can help you pay (borrow you) the tuition while you send same to the contact in form of upkeep thru form A. Time is what you need to beat here

I doubt if you are correct. I stand corrected though. As long as the complete amount required for pof with some extra money incase of flunctuations isnt touched, then the remaining amount whether debit or credit is immaterial.

I'm sure you ve not heard anyone say they received NSF asking them to explain transaction histories and or provide 60 to 90 days backdated statement ?

Does the bank's head office has a known channel of communication or enquiry in place?
