I plan to apply to schools in the UK, (Middlesex, Sunderland, Coventry, etc) for September this year. My main problem is my NIN, which I’ll use to process my passport.

I got married and need to change my name, in order to process my passport and then apply to schools and then visa. I’ve registered for change of name at NIMC for over 3 weeks now and I’ve gone back several times, sent emails to the email addresses provided, I’ve called to no avail. I need help! Any one have any contact that I can use to find out about my NIN?

I know passport takes a while to be processed, which is why I’m scared at how long the NIN is taking. Will I still be able to meet up?

Also, I plan to go with my husband and 1yr old baby... and baby on the way (which is due in July). For my POF, and healthy insurance, Will the babies pay the same amount with the adults?

Will the babies have to do TB test? I know it’s about $60 for children under 11, but a less than 1yr old?

How do I apply for a visa for a baby that isn’t here yet, but will be here by the time I’m traveling?

Don't be confused, take it one thing at a time.

Since you will be due with the baby b4 visa application, then no problem


Children's TB test is just examination in form of questions that the Dr will ask both parents

The baby will pay same amount (IHS Visa fee, maintenance fund) as an adult

With the new passport system, it now takes less time to process it unlike last year.
So, all you need now is your NIN to be uploaded on the NIMC portal for other sister agencies (NIS, banks etc) to access it.

I will advise you go ahead with your passport application, when it's time for capturing, NIS officials will tell you what and how to go about it to be uploaded

It's been the norm since late last year but it's usually a random call where border officer just ask for your bank bal showing your maintenance fund and tuition

My wife applied for Teesside university and got a conditional offer did it through an agent. but the agent did not add her wassce certificate. now the conditions are i should write ielts and pay my deposit. she sent an mail to them explaining that she have wassce but no response yet, should she just add upload my wassce certificate instead of the IELTS? cant afford to start preparing for ielts now as the stress from work alone is too much.

Don't know how you arrived at your calculation but each applicant either main or dependants will pay same amount for IHS

Those schools have monstrous admission demands.

Before CAS issuance, the school will require you to provide your bank statements for 28 solid days, showing these:
> balance tuition
> maintenance fee for you and your dependants, if any.

If you scale this, UKVI will demand same at visa application stage. This will be accompanied with paying the IHS and visa application fees.

Whereas, there are some schools that will not require this POF to issue you CAS.

So, choose wisely before committing yourself to any school with preCAS deposits.

Anyways same POF can be used for both especially if your school gives you CAS 2/3 days after submitting the statement and then you apply immediately to UKVI

But it's the applicant's choice to same P O F or go to the bank for another

Get all your docs (Passport, educational certs, TB certs, evidence of deposit - all the docs u used so far) handy and ready (you can have them in an envelope in your backpack) , should they ask for anyone.

And importantly, your bank's mobile app should show your balance

Since you are fully vaccinated, you are good to go. All Covid protocols have been suspended since March 18th. So, you don't need locator form and day 2 test. However, you can check with your airline to know their own Covid rules

You need to present your maintenance funds for 9 months in a bank statement format . It's different for London and outside London. Read up here

my sister applied to the university of hull submitted all docs and got a conditional offer, after which she was required to pay 2k pounds. now the school is asking for English proficiency which they never had issues with before taking our 2k pounds.

can anyone suggest what we can do or are there any good schools with quick admission processes and less stressful admission procedures?

I have a question, might seem stupid but I need clarification. I deposited funds for my POF on the 4th of March, is it advisable to print a statement from 4th march-1st April ? Or I should print 5th march- 1st April.
Secondly is there a problem with the lump sum showing in the bank statement? Note: I am using this for CAS.

Was there any deposit even if it's a small amount a day after the lump sum?

Someone posted how a Nigerian during online lecture asked the lecturer why so many assignments, that when will he have time to work to pay the school fees. Forgetting during his visa application, he declared to UKVI that he had the school fees.

Very soon, they will request block account from Nigerian students. Strict rules will then follow.
They are hearing and watching.

I am using this platform to beg Nigerians abeg make una no spoil road for others. Stop the illegal acts, stop talking about what's suppose to be a secret online. They are reading those things. Look at the news on recycling funds now.

I am the dependant partner and we are applying with my two children.

Since you are a dependant, you need the GWF....... code of the main applicant to run your application and that of your children.
The main applicant has to pay b4 this code can be generated

I want to ask if I should move the ihs and visa fee to another account instead of leaving it with maintenance fund till after printing cos it will reduce the opening balance when it is used for payment.

Better to move it to another account than having to want to shalaye but no one to shalaye to so it won't affect your chances

Do not misrepresent UKVI nor misinform their teeming customers. That there is no more priority does not say explicitly that standard now takes more than 6 weeks. Priority has only been focused on Ukrainians. Simple!

TB cert is valid for 6 months, so, whichever intake you going for, plan accordingly.

From experience, Sept and Jan intakes are usually overwhelming for IOM staff due to rush but they still attend to everyone though
