Lagos made a law that forbids breaking the lockdown rules. Those that gathered at Kyari’s burial were not in Lagos and are not governed by Lagos laws.

The President forbade it all in both Lagos and Abuja in his lockdown speech. So equal law applies to them both. They were all violating Federal Government laws and should all be punished. The Police obey both state and federal laws. Violators at abuja burial should had been arrested too. This is double standards. They are all aiding in spreading the virus.

I don't think he's in support, he's against it. No one should violate the lockdown law. He's just highlighting the hypocrisy and double standards of the government. Why should those that violated the law during the burial go Scott free? Both lagos and abuja are operating under the same law. The same lockdown was pronounced in them both by the president. But some offenders are left free while some offenders are punished. All should be punished. They all are contributing to the spread of the pandemic.

Just for clarification please, I'm proud of her and this does not reduce the greatness of her accomplishment, but weren't we also celebrating Blessing Liman few years ago? For same feat.

We are all managing the hunger together. They should had taken their grieviances and anger to the officials who are responsible for providing for them. They should face the law.

Yeah. I think Wike went beyond his powers in this matter. And more also by this act he'll be scaring away future investors who want to come to the state. Even existing investors. This issue could had easily been resolved without escalating it to this level but wike decided to make it political.
Oil and gas doesn't shut down for corona, they are essential workers.
If health protocols were breached, i don't think it warrants this level of response.
But I don't know if wikes allegations against caverton are true, if so that was bad of caverton.

Please what exactly do you see in those Yahoo boy's rooms at the hotel when you go to clean it? Please educate the rest of us so whenever we see such anywhere, whether in people's home or public places or anywhere, we should know. This knowledge can save a life someday. Salaries will be paid and people will stock up. Essential services providers will still be on duty. Lock down isn't forever. There will be advance notice. It's a drastic temporary step to help contain the spread to a low acceptable manageable level. No country can survive an indefinite lockdown. There are procedures before a lockdown. And mind you, i didn't even say the whole country. I mentioned specific cities. Wuhan in china did it and it worked. Should we sit and do nothing? Even if yes Nigeria may nit be as advanced as the other nations battling the pandemic but so should we then do Nothing?

Before I got married my husband said he needed 2 children while I wanted twins but our second pregnancy was twins so we had 3 instead. Then I took implant so to avoid getting pregnant again but my system became messed up that my monthly flow would last for 2 to 3 weeks.
So after 3 years I decided to remove it so to get back myself only for me to get pregnant instead and I found out when I was already 3 months gone and the pregnancy is causing me to be in so much pain that I can’t move at times making my husband do everything at home cause i’m always in bed

creating a business is not about charity, you are trying to find a proper group of individuals that will carry your vision and help your business grow. bringing some negativity (or poisonous people) within that group of individuals is not only counter productive but also foolish.... that would certainly create problem in the future, for you, your employees AND your business.

each and everyone of us should be judged/treated by what we put out and do. its called CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR ACTONS.
if you want to treat everybody the same way, regardless of their actions then so be it.... smart people know better, and MUST take firm decisions on what is obvious, whether a person likes it or not. people who think like you do are the ones who would think that i shouldnt fire people who made grave mistakes (because they have a family to feed etc) or that i shouldnt get rid of people in the workplace because you have been with us for a long time. ARRANT NONSENSE! you could be the best employee and still be fired, if that is beneficial to the company ( as much as you may not like to hear it).... and thats the type of hard choices BOSSES have to make on a daily basis.

the workplace is a constant battle, and in Nigeria where there are thousands who could replace you, you best be at the top of your game (aka perfect) if not then your job is at risk.

what she did would be irrelevant to the employer... the negative vibe following that person is what matters here. what else will her friends bring to the company, when she starts working for that firm? what type of other negativity are they gonna bring to that firm?!

1. She's not being employed based on charity, she passed the interviews and tests and merited the job.

2. Your analogy of not sacking a staff who has made a grave mistake, based on long service or having family to feed doesn't count here because those things happened in the company where the staff presently works, but here the company is taking their decision and judging her based on what they heard happened somewhere, not that she did something to them or to their organization. Yeah life has consequences but she paid by loosing her job.

3. Google about "employing someone with a criminal record" etc or similar topic, to see the stand governments and successful large and small organizations have on the subject matter. I bet you'll be surprised.

I think you're being too principled and hardlined and extreme. That's not a good quality in managing or leading people, if you hope to do that someday. It will create problems. Life is also about flexibility and compromises. We are all humans not robots or machines. No one is perfect or can't find themselves in unpleasant circumstances, dileberately or unkowingly. Even you could end up in an unpleasant circumstances, in any manner, it may not be about job search. You surely won't like to be treated and judged so, it's not really about whether you'll like it or not but i feel that's not the right way to treat people. It's easy to talk till you get to experience it someday. I never have but i can empathise. I'm not justifying her actions especially if she did so deliberately but I'm just trying to be human.
