Did he come with any friend or friends? When he gets home he should ask himself, and if so, he should reconsider his circle. And learn. Either he drank a bad mixture/combination of alcohol, or his drink was spiked. If he came alone he should learn life long lessons from this experience. He should also try to solve the root cause of what drives him into this type of drinking. |
Misplaced priorities. While beauty pageant queens get cars, millions, salaries, endorsements,... This our society, SMH. I don't just mean Nigeria, its the world over. |

Wasn't the building and location approved by government in the first place? Will the owner be compensated? |
I understand. It's so as to be able to give wives of politicians the ability to seek elective office in their husbands state. That's the hidden reason. Anyway all good, freedom of choice. We are all Nigerians. Advanced countries have even "abolished" state of origin "rights", good move but I don't think we're fully ready for that yet in Nigeria, the abolishing. |
You may be right. Even food has more than one meaning nowadays, you know. SageMK: |

He, the "customer", probably spiked her drink(for reasons best known to him, and maybe her), or she drank some concoctions or mixtures of alcohol she's never taken, or smoked excess of weed. Anyway she should be at home or in a hospital or police station till she regains consciousness. But these steps/reactions are hardly ever gotten or taken by the Nigerian public or relevant gov't agencies. Thank God it's not poison. I hope her people or someone who knows her comes to her aid. |

6 million naria is only good enough for an African country. Try Togo or Nairobi or Kenya or Angola or Zambia. Relatively cheap secure and easy. Togo is French speaking though. |

This should be in the crime section. Sad RIP to them. Poisoning, i though as much. Wickedness everywhere. Trust no one. |
They disappointed him after all the assurances and promises that they'll come for the debate. Feels like betrayal. He realizes his reputation and integrity means nothing to them. He just wanted to present a fair unbiased choice for Nigerians. His contribution to the political process of the nation. He even denied other candidates opportunity just to create chance for them. Sorry Mr John. Welcome to the real world of Nigeria's dirty politicians even in this age. This is just a tip of the iceberg. In there eyes this mess up means nothing, just tiny thing. They don't care at all. No honour, no conscience. They'll only just use him and his platform, channels tv, when and how it suits them, As it suits them. |
Wow. Nigeria is the playground for corrupt people, from all over the world. Shell is also in court for bribes it paid to govt officials for securing the license, running into billions of dollars. For how many years will this case keep lingering? In Nigeria the difference between innocent and guilty is by if you're connected to the people in power. Yup the laws should definitely be changed. That's the first step. Then followed by the will to uphold the law. No wonder so much resistance in letting the PI Bill see the light of day. So many very powerful people's illegal petroleum industry businesses will be affected. |
