lilmax:Do you know that there are some ladies who are not interested in marriage? |
DrinkLimca:oga limca. Did you read the thread before commenting? |
"she is rich, the house we are living belong to her, she has provided 80% things for the marriage, She has spent on me a lot, I can't afford to leave her " You sound like a gold digger who is after her money . Tomorrow you guys will be calling ladies gold diggers. You may go on with the marriage but if you want to enjoy it, get a job and start paying your bills. I know why I am telling you this. |
Safiaa:I agree with you. Some ladies are doing crazy stuffs. Some don't mind marrying their fathers agemate |
donstan18:why did you change your dp? Where is that cute little boy |
. That awkward moment you realize that 90% of your mates are getting married and here you are still waiting. Pressure is mounting internally and externally, You celebrate your 27+ birthday and boom the tension is brewing. Relax your nerves. Sometimes it's not easy being single, Majority want to get married, Have someone they can call their own, Have an active sex life, Have some cute lovely kids Go out on shopping with them. Or maybe all you want now is just relationship. All these are lovely but don't allow them push you ending up with the wrong person due to pressure. For yet to marry ladies! Know your worth, Don't allow him turn you into a intimacy gadget because you are hoping for the engagement ring, Don't allow him turn you into a punching bag because of engagement ring, If you don't like him, never say YES to his proposal, Don't say yes to someone you have no feelings for. It's boring, you can't be comfortable with him. I am shocked seeing what some ladies go through in a race to get married, Some are now desperate, Some are being duped by all these criminals in the name of prayers. They are ready to do anything now. "I am ready to marry anyone as far as its a man" -that's their anthem, so cheap! Or maybe you are just in a relationship with him and marriage is not your priority, If he is not respecting and loving you the way you want and deserve, Please walk out of the relationship! If you are not interested in premarital sex life with him, Don't bow to pressure, walk out of the relationship. If you are not seeing the worth of continuing in that relationship with him, plz walk out of it. Your marital status does not and should not determine your worth. Look at yourself in the mirror and see how beautiful and wonderful you are, Look again and see a queen staring back at you. Getting married should not be the only goal in your life, Focus your mind on improving your career, Growing that your business, If you are a graduate, then you focus on your post graduate program, Getting a new skill and opening a venture with it. At the right time, if fate decides in your favour, your king will come if that's your dream. Remember it's better to marry late to the right person than to marry early to the wrong person. ....... You are special and the best. You deserve nothing less, You are a queen. Don't allow the pressure get to you. Thanks swerries. Oriaku Amara loves you all. |

Oriaku Amara, if you are a feminist, then why are you married? A question thrown at me! I smiled because there have been a lot of misconception about this issue. Dear questioner, Being a feminist means a lady knowing her worth, preserving her values, achieving her dreams irrespective of gender hindrance and playing her little part in creating a world where gender should not be a barrier for anything. Feminism in Africa focuses on enlightening women on making their today better than yesterday, Making a woman to be conscious of her responsibilities. To summarize it - Feminism is out to bring out the queen in a woman It has never been a war or hatred against men, I am a feminist and not a lesbian. I love and appreciate men. Feminism does not stop you from getting married. I love and respect my husband! Not because he has a "dick" and he is a man! No No No. But because he is a king that fits the queen in me. He respects me and I respect him. Feminism prepares a woman who is interested in getting married on knowing her roles to play in contributing to the success of the marriage. Let me give you a narrative. Many ladies who are not pro-feminists believe that they are weak vessels that needs a man to survive. That's why we have financial parasites up and down, Some of you call it gold digging, They want a rich guy to move them out of poverty, Some of them are lazy to work because they are being brainwashed by a society that is slow to accept feminism. Even when they marry, they believe that the man is the breadwinner of the family and should carry all financial burden. No wonder some guys are not happy in their marriage, Who is happy having a mosquito on the skin? Feminism don't preach that, The consciousness of it empowers a lady to wake up, get a work or something doing and begin to pay her bills. Feminism prepared us to know how to help the husbands in taking over some financial responsibility. A feminist don't wait for the boyfriend or husband to buy her a car, She works hard and get herself a car! A feminist can never beg the boyfriend or husband for something she can afford herself. We are queens and queens don't beg! Linda ikeji is hardworking and rich, she is about to get married, she will never throw her financial burden at the feet of the husband, She worked hard for her own money and can foot the bill. That's one of the empowerments feminism came to give African women. So you see! Feminists are very unique in marriage and relationships, Yes we are! I started working before marriage, I was paying bills before marriage, Marriage didn't change it because as a feminist, I will never be a financial liability to my husband. So feminism is not against getting married, The role of it towards marriage is preparing you as a queen in getting a king and remaining a queen in marriage. Queens are no weak vessels neither are we inferior to the male gender. I love you all. |
Mariangeles:Rivers state is a multi ethnic state. We have kalabaris, okrikas, Bonny etc a.k.a ijoid groups We have Ogonis. These people are not Igbos. Then we have Igboid speaking areas where the Igbo identity is not fully embraced. Ikwerres ,Ogba, ekpeye ,etc. And areas with strong Igbo conscienceness , Oyigbo, Etche, Rivers egbema. Understand it now? |
Mariangeles:"you look like an Igbo girl " Before am I a Fulani or idoma girl? Hahaha. So a person answering Oriaku Amarachi from Oyigbo is not Igbo but look like an Igbo to you? You are funny. I am an Asa woman. Now an Anambra woman due to marriage. |
Mariangeles:yes. Any problem |
Ladyhippolyta88:Oyigbo rivers, Mallied to Anambala ![]() |

That number 5 tho. "there is a hoe in every woman" Mtcheeew. |
How can a feminist expect a guy to spend on her, Feminism preaches financial independence for women, That does not mean rejecting a kind gesture from a guy. Financial responsibility in relationships should not be left for the guy alone, You contribute as a woman, You take responsible of some of your financial needs. It earns you respect. |
TheUpsetGirl:Ur welcome |
You just conclude that it's flu. Oga go and do a test . Nairaland is not a hospital. You will be fine |
Brokenness applies to both gender. A gold digger is not a feminist. Feminism prepares a woman to be financially independent and cater for herself. Vagina is not an ATM card. |
That guy in black tho. Is that how to cook okro? |
