Would you continue to rely on paltry $3.7b external reserve to defend Naira? Yes,I agree PBAT was hasty at taking some economic decisions but those decisions are necessary. Well, you sound so pained that PBAT is ruling you and your family,I feel your pain bro.#Wounded obidient! Feldie: but 5 years ago you won't have the 33k to spend in a shop. You see, when rice was 5k per bag people still couldn't afford it, people used to measure with cups and they even go for cheaper ones, dirty and filled with stones. The world is a scam. The monetary system is a scam. They use one hand to give you and then collect it back with the other hand That's a big lie there, five years ago, the country was bubbling, people literally hosts themselves almost everyday With 500 in your hand, you can organize boys and things will start flowing Today 1k can't get a decent meal anywhere in Nigeria, and you blabbing dust The thing is we know things won't remain same, but the skyrocketing is getting too much Except if you don't run a business or do anything tangible in Nigeria You go feel the heat abeg |

The state governors are just laughing at the Labour Union drama.
Ordinary N30K, the state governors are owning months, even sometimes self, they have to wait for bail out from FG before paying the salaries
Labour should come down from their high horse and be realistic for once So what's the realistic figure as regards the current inflation? What's difficult in the government giving us Nigerians the breakdown of the minimum wage Let's see how you spend 54k in a month and still have savings with a family |
Politics › Re: Breaking: Again, Labour Rejects N54,000 As New Minimum Wage by ambale(m): 7:22pm On May 21, 2024 |

There should be a breakdown
Cos this current economy 54k is not enough to feed a family not to talk of other expenses |

Politics › Re: Government Should Frustrate Small Business by ambale(m): 7:15pm On May 21, 2024 |
budaatum: This is not about supporting the government, but about uniting to support themselves.
100 welders pulling their resources and working together would form a factory and create an industry that would likely pay less tax per income than collected in total from each individually. They'd also hire others to support them and thereby create more employment. But as it is, the tomato seller can't pull together with the okro seller because they can't trust each other.
It's a thing that time will solve. Small petty traders will eventually evolve and cooperate because the cost of doing petty business will kill them if they don't. Are you a welder or an artisan? They all have associations and even some of them have cooperatives So whats your argument man? |
Politics › Re: Government Should Frustrate Small Business by ambale(m): 4:18pm On May 21, 2024 |
budaatum: As in, as opposed to one man operations, people should cooperate and work together, so instead of one person selling tomatoes and another selling okro, they should cooperate and open a supermarket?
Taxation would make this happen in due time as it has done in more developed nations. They already have associations where government can get corporate taxes from them But the problem is people don't see the need to support the government when all they do is embezzle public funds |

PHAYOL81: That number 7. And that's if you're not being shortchanged by the governments closest to you. In that case it's not Tinubu's faults but the irresponsibility of your immediate governing bodies. So, time you started asking the right questions from the right source. ..............
@CheapHomes1, I understand your feelings and honestly, as much as you're, I and almost everyone having different opinions on #PBAT look forward to a better nation too. But we must also understand the nature and complexities of the state of our nation pre-Tinubu era borne out of decades of mismanagements, corruption and instability in systems of government. We can't just wish the change, we must work and sacrifice towards it. And in addition, you can't expect a whole and hollistic turn around of all sectors at the word “go”, it takes gradual steps. ROME WASN'T BUILT IN A DAY! Only a magician tells you, “make a wish, close your eyes, open...” and you meet the thing right infront of you without making any effort or contribution towards the actualization. In the real world, you dream it and work tirelesly and sweating to achieve it in a specific time.
@yewit37486, Nigeria ain't the God-promised GARDEN OF EDEN before Buhari's tenure. Buhari got into power on the campaign of making the change the country massively yearned for at that time as everything wasn't pleasant. The damage ain't only about BUHARI's administration but about six decades of mismanagement, corruption and instability in systems of government as previously mentioned. Any sane individual can't honestly believe such would go away in a twinkle of an eye. So, you have it: the Tinubu administration is fixing the rots accumulated over decades and can only do that overtime. Thanks You still don't get my point I don't need the government for anything, I'm not poor and not rich I run a business, and the amount I expend these days with low quantities is like three times of what it used to be We normally purchase a bundle of paper around 5-7k before and now we buy just one rim for same 5k So the only way I can enjoy the government is when the inflation comes real down |

I like how Peter Obi signs off A new Nigeria is POssible -PO.
Is Peter Obi's middle name not "Onwubuasi"? Why doesn't he include it in his sign off? But it's a huge concern now, abi you no dey live for Nigeria ni? Teenagers don't want to learn anymore, even handwork, they hardly get focused And you think he's reacting too much, if you are in the education sector or even a patriotic Nigerian, you should be more worried cos your girl child and even siblings are not safe from this woke youth and teenagers rather to devour humans rather than devour their books And to even say, teachers are not well paid and the qualifications have dropped badly with the advent of many mushrooms private school If the government is not upping their game, we have a huge crisis ahead of us |
